Used Price Freeze to hold a fare. They charged me 90.00. They give you a time to pay, so they say.
I go back to pay and can't the price goes up. Scam. Why offer this so card price freeze?

I recently booked a flight though Hopper for four people (including myself) and received a verification email. Our flights can got cancelled weeks after we received an verification email. We all relied on those flights, and honestly we're quite disappointed especially as we received a verification email.
Since the late notice, the prices have gotten up and we worked around the price of the orignal flight. The flight that we re-booked is for the same plane as the original flight. There must be a way for us to receive a reimbursement for the difference for our flights. This was not a cancellation issue on our end, as there was minimum information given. I really hope the flights we re-booked can be trusted, as we all feel uneasy after our first experience with Hopper being a last minute cancellation.

I downloaded the Hopper app after paying $104 per night at a hotel when I became homeless due to an unhealthy relationship and had no choice but to stay in a hotel and pay the nightly rate of $104 which was breaking my wallet, my savings, my entire tax return, and my Hopes! As I write this review, I am currently still at a hotel paying a nightly rate, but I have saved well over I think close to $1200 in a month. Thanks to Hopper! They have a referral program where if you get a person to download the app and book a reservation through your referral code, you can get up to $50 off per night or your entire stay! So I went mad crazy with the referral program, and also if you take videos and pictures of your hotel, stay and post them to the required link in the app, you can potentially get your entire. Stay free! I posted my pictures and videos already. I'm just waiting to hear some thing that is a new thing with Hopper so I think they're still probably working out the kinks and what not. So whoever initially created Hopper, and made it possible for me to try to save money so I can get myself into stable housing, I would have to hands down, thank hopper! And the people who work behind the scenes. I highly recommend downloading this app, whether you're a frequent traveler, or not! You never know when you're going to find yourself in a situation where you need to stay at a hotel, book a flight, rent, a car or any of that and you're most definitely going to, save, save, save! It almost sounded too good to be true in fact! But here I am a live person and definitely all about reviews and I tell you in all honesty it's very hard for me to give a five star rating to anything! There! Thank you hopper!

A friend and I went on a trip, I downloaded the app and booked a hotel in New York, I recommended the app to my friend and he booked a hotel in Washington DC. And Hopper charged us for the reservation and the hotel also charged us again, the reservation appeared at the hotel but it did not appear paid. Then they charged us again, and when my friend checked his bank account both charges appeared. So we paid twice for the same room, and so far it has become impossible to contact hopper to resolve it. There is no phone number you can call or email. Everything is through the App and it is impossible to do it. So I don't recommend Hooper. And I regret having recommended it to my friend.

There is nothing on this app that tells you price freeze is non-refundable. So you may be saving originally with the actual purchase but overall, you will not save. I got a hotel for $105 per night in down town Manhattan, but saw a hotel a little closer to where I wanted to be that was $10.00 less per night, and I know its only $10.00 bucks, but I put in for a price freeze and then realized after everything the original hotel is actually closer, lost $45.00. So now this "super" cheap rate per night just cost me a day's worth of parking in NY. I would never use this app again.

I used hopper to book flights for my family's spring break getaway. Flight from SF to Maui was fine, no issues. But we were supposed to fly back home today, and Hawaiian airlines had changed the flight times and it departed at 10am instead of 2pm! So of course when we show up at 12 for our flights we were told that our flight had left already that morning and that Hopper was supposed to inform us of the time change not the airlines themselves. Hopper refuses to take any responsibility for this mess. I had to shell out more money to book a hotel nearby to fly out tomorrow but Hawaiian could only get us home to a different airport so I now have to Uber an hr to pick up my car! I have reached out to Hopper and they were not helpful at all and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing on their part. I have never experienced anything like this with other travel sites, spare yourself the headache and financial loss, and stay away from this site!

Rented a car thru them. I went to add an additional driver and when I clicked OK with his info, it made him the primary driver. I didn't know this until they sent me confirmation. Long story short, I paid for the rental and additional insurance, however because it showed my friend as the primary, I will not be able to pick up the car. The issue is, I arrive 3 days before my friend and now will have to Uber and then Uber back to airport when they arrive. I asked(only thru email) to please add me or change the primary back to me so I can pick the car up. After only emails, they claimed there is nothing they can do and I'm basically SOL. No phone numbers to call only email. No we understand, no we're sorry. I will never use them again under any circumstances. Having my CC company going after them and will be contacting the BBB too. Awful!

Had an issue with our hotel. Only way to get any customer service in a timely manner is to pay an additional $15. All correspondence with customer service reps is thru chat and email. Then was refused a refund. Even though we had to get a different hotel at an additional. If you want to save any time and money DO NOT USE HOPPER!

I booked accommodation on Hopper and they sent the wrong info to the hotel. I got thrown into a room I did not book! And overcharged me! Hopper did not even try and resolve the issue. Do not use Hopper! You think you book something decent but you'll end up getting the opposite of what you book. I paid $120 for a room that looked like this $#*!! And it wasn't even the room I booked. How dirty! This was at the Metro hotel Perth! Disgusting

This app is seems to be using a scheme of psychological distress to get your money. They offer a "freeze" but then don't actually do anything and often, out of fear, create a large pending transaction which sometimes they void. The point of that, it seems, is to make the user feel relieved that at least they didn't lose the larger amount and so accept the smaller "freeze" fee that was really just a ploy to scam you out of that money, potentially.

I have used hopper to book 2 times in the last 6 months and both times it said the prices would rise and go buy now the prices of my tickets dropped significantly in the following weeks. This site is bogus. And the vip support does nothing! Don't use them, better luck going through the airline directly.

Terrible service. My flight was delayed one hour. When I went to pick up my car at the rental company that I used through Hopper, no car was available. So I left. I was still charged by hopper. Now I have to argue with them to get my money back That they took with no service having been rendered

This app is a scam!
The app is falsely advertising prices which are not actually bookable (continuous error messages despite 20 attempts) in order to drive users to buy a "price freeze".
The users are then faced with crazy price increases which (of course) are beyond the cap saving (which wasn't even announced?).
The price freeze purchased is only valid for 1 day, yet customer service needs 24 hrs to respond. Given the number of complaints they probably get, they also sell a 'VIP customer service' (how practical?) which I can't even pay for as a price freeze customer doesn't even have access to it.
Their currencies are a mess, the whole app displays prices in CHF, yet the price freeze is charged in USD, resulting in unexpected costs from my bank. Please also note that the confirmation email actually says the transaction was charged in CHF... how interesting...
When trying to book the flight, once again, prices in CHF. Yet at checkout, a small disclaimer indicates the transaction will be in euros. How is it possible that this was not previously announced? I had no info on this prior to purchasing the price freeze and now have to pay huge bank fees if I proceed.
I am honestly disappointed to see travel companies operating with such practices and wouldn't recommend this service to anyone planning their travels.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
