I purchased a price freeze of $120 and froze the plane ticket price of $1836.07 in CAD, but Hopper decides to change my price to USD and did not give me the price change difference back. So that means I spend a $120 price fee for nothing, and they got extra money into their dirty pockets. So fxxxking pissed off now, and Everyone needs to avoid this App.
If anyone in the comments knows any legal agencies, please recommend some, and I am literally thinking about taking legal action against Hopper.
Follow up: they don't answer my questions at all, they reword the same answer and reply my email, not willing to solve my problem at all, because they know that it is a SCAM.
Don't ever download hotel, motel aps...these are double tongue people somewhere in the world...stick to American workers...you can't even call these on line people! They don't speak English!

I cannot stress how much NOT to EVER use the Hopper app! This experience has been an absolute nightmare, their "customer service" is the worse I've ever seen, and after being contacted by email by roughly 12 different fake-sounding people, they are clearly NOT going to even give me any direct contact information for an actual human, never mind reimburse me for the double-in-price rental I ended up with after their 3rd party agent canceled the rental I'd reserved through Hopper. ZERO STARS, do not recommend.

This app seems to a junk website trying to show and sell cheap tickets. When you try to change or cancel flights, there is no guaranty your booking will be cancelled though the app says it will be. No customer support.

Customer service is awful. ZERO flexibility with ticket reservations. Does not keep you updated on trip changes.
I ended up having to pay $500 extra to change my trip reservation, and had to do it through the airline. 0/10, would not recommend

I booked flights on Virgin for my three children to visit their grandparents in England. Pandemic hit and since then hopper won't offer me a refund or a changed flight. They stole $3K from me. You can't speak to a person. There's no communication. This company DISGUSTS me. Plain thieves. Book directly through an airline. Don't use these clowns. Thanks for $#*!ing up my life hopper

I was just exploring the price freeze feature and without even my consent or any authentication amount for the price freeze was deducted from my card. I wanted to cancel the transaction. I haven't opted for it.Will have to raise a fraudulent complaint on this company for taking away the money even without a single authentication or confirmation from the customer. You cannot just auto debit the money from our card just because you have the card saved from an old transaction.This is a ridiculous app. I don't have any option to call customer care or an e-mail. The worst travel app I've ever seen causing so much difficulty to customers. It's a bloody scam and I'm writing this so that everyone will be enlightened on what's happening and no one will make a mistake of using your app again.The feature of price freeze is literally a scam to loot you. Beware your money will just be deducted without any confirmation from you. So far the worst travel app I've ever used.

Company engages in deceptive pricing. My receipt shows that I was charged $25 extra -- per ticket -- for "VIP customer service."
Want to know what VIP service means? It means you can send a chat message -- not a call or email-- to Hopper and in 40-60 minutes, some one will finally answer, post an auto reply message that does answer your question, say they can't help, and then close the chat.
It's been 12 days and I can't get help.
They also charged $5 per ticket for a "tip."
Want a tip? Don't use this company, they are an absolute nightmare.

Booked a hotel for Charleston, SC through the app. Searched for a room for five adults. Selected hotel, did the price freeze and immediately booked. Got to our hotel only to discover that our reservation was only for 2 adults, instead of 5. We selected a suite, and received a regular room. Complained to Hopper, and they only offered a $24 credit to use on their app. (Which they never gave). I will never use their site again!

DO NOT USE HOPPER. SCAM. I "booked" a flight and they took $400 from my bank account. I was then notified after the fact that they didn't book me the flight? Now their site states it will take 5+ days for my money to be refunded even though I didn't get the flight. Thankfully this happened they day before I was paid and my trip isn't for 5 months. I'd hate to be someone in crisis looking for a cheap last minute flight, you're charged and now out $700+ and don't even have a flight. Hopper is a joke. Zero starts if I could.

Hopper are a scam do not use them! Their customer service is non-existent.
Our airline cancelled our flight and Hopper have not put in a request for a refund. Hopper have not replied to our 8 emails to do so and now we are not eligible for the refund.
Hopper make you download their stupid app and pay $60 to get an urgent reply. Literal extortion. Making you pay extra money for something they should be doing anyway.

It's insane how deceptive hopper is, I purchased cancel for any reason anytime then 7 days later I tried to cancel and it magically the protection plan was only good for 6 days…I never got a receipt for purchasing protection plan, I only saw it on my bank statement. U have to pay to talk to a live person, the text support are bots. I've been leaving negative reviews on any platform I come across. Finally a manager got back to me and sent me examples of what I "shoulda" seen, when I asked hopper to produce documentation that I actually agreed to that. Again I was only sent generic examples where the math wasn't matching compared to what I paid. I'm a nurse and if u DIDN'T document it DIDN'T happen, and they just can't seem to provide that evidence. Just save urself the heart ache and don't use hopper EVER

If you have any issues at all it is impossible to reach this company - The rental company charged me for ore than a week, I used the car 4 days. Fraudulent company, taken payment from me under false pretences. Contacted the hotel no actual reservation was made by them for me but had taken payment for me. I had to find an alternative hotel to stay for the night. **AVOID** Contacting my bank now to raise a chargeback and will inform Action Fraud.

I did a ton of research for a trip I need to take in the summer. I looked at every website and app to find the most affordable accommodation when I was browsing through Hopper, I realized that they only give you an estimated price. This is not typically what you would see on another app. The only selection to see the finalized price was "price freeze." After selecting this, I should've listened to my gut and not gone any further. But I was curious. It turns out that in there tiny blue lettering that says "terms and conditions," if you select price freeze, that it is a nonrefundable and non-transferable charge... another company would want you to book through them again. That is not what this company wants. This company wants your money upfront, to trap you into a purchase and then to possibly even charge you twice for some thing you had no intention on ever using. There was no button that said, "pay now" or "confirm." The only suggestion was- freeze price. And then they stole $392 from me- possibly more because I saw another pending charge on my account today. Their customer service link is a constant loop that brings you to blank pages and dead ends. I will be filing a case with Better Business Bureau and filing a class action and writing and email/forwarding my experience to a news outlet. This company is criminal. This is 100% a scam and I can't believe I fell for it.

I paid for VIP customer service for my flights and I attempted for HOURS and DAYS to get in contact with them because I was going to miss my flight and I needed their help changing my flights so I wouldnt lose out on all my money, but NO ONE answered me in time, I missed ALL my flights and lost all my money. And they have NO actual phone number to call for more competent assistance. They finally responded days after I missed all my flights and they were NO help. They said "we will transfer this issue on to another department" and they transferred my "issue" MULTIPLE times and it took them an ENTIRE month to even respond without saying "my issue is being transferred." Then they blamed me for the issue and said they dont owe me any money when the money loss would not have occurred if they gave me the customer service I paid for and responded to my inquiries in the first place. They continue to be no real help and take days to respond when I first contacted them over a month ago about their beyond terrible customer service. I am still battling with them over email to get my money back.

I used the site to book a hotel room on a road trip and was charged significantly more than I authorized, and met with 3 additional fees for services I did not ask for. Multiple attempts to get answers using the app were fruitless. They said I could get some charges refunded if i sent a screen shot of the charges. The screen shot would not upload to their app. I asked for email or text but they ignored me and never provided an alternative means to provide the info. They insinuated I would not send proof without acknowledging their app wads preventing me. It's such a hassle to dispute these abusive, but rather dinky extra charges. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION. I'm never going to use them again.
Watch for their response to this that they're "so sorry" and I should use their app dispute resolution. That's exactly what I tried to do with no success

While Hopper may find some cheap deals, be careful because when booking through them, they control your reservation, and if you have issues the day of your travel, it's nearly impossible to get them to help or to make amends afterwards. They will blame the airlines (who, agreed, aren't great either), and then tell you they can't help you at all due to "policy" and other BS. Just know that if you have any issues with travel day, an itinerary booked through Hopper is a going to make your issues worse instead of better.

Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
