I started a search for hotels for an upcoming trip, but I ended up booking through another website. There's no instructions for how to cancel the search and stop getting notifications for this specific search. I don't want to turn off notifications for all hopper searches in settings. And there seems to be no way to contact customer service in any way, unless I have already purchased tickets through hopper. Starting a hopper search is not worth all the unwanted notifications just to see if the app comes up with anything.

Zero customer service

DONT BOOK FLIGHTS THROUGH THIS APP. THEY LITERALLY DONT RESPOND TO THE SO-CALLED 24/7 CHAT!! so in my naivety, I booked a flight home through hopper. After I purchased my tickets, My grandmother passed away unexpectedly and I needed to change my flight. Hopper says they offer 24/7 customer service through their app, yet I've reached out numerous times and they haven't responded to me for TWO DAYS. I'm actually still waiting as I write this review. At this point, I have zero faith that they will ever respond. There is also no phone number to call them. I just need to know what their bereavement policy is and I tried searching through the app, but there is no info on bereavement policy. Absolutely despicable that they don't have a number to call and they don't respond to the supposed "24/7 customer chat". What a disgrace. Thanks for nothing hopper. DONT BOOK THROUGH THIS APP

I would really appreciate it if the notifications also listed the date of the trip. "Prices for your tracked flight to Paris have changed" is not helpful when I have 5 specific date ranges tracked! If the dates showed up along with the notification I would probably open the app to look more often. I travel to certain places very often and have multiple flights to the same places tracked because of this.

Hoppers customer service is horrible! The only contact is through chat! It's very slow and inconvenient! If there are any issues with your flight they don't offer any help they advised me to talk to airline! So what's the point of using hopper? My flight was delayed two hours and would miss my connecting flight to London. The next day..... sorry no refund !! Only use it for updates on prices! Trust me!! If not read the other reviews

This app's prediction is horrible.
I deleted the app after 3 wong prediction it made consecutively. I lost $300 because of this app. Completely trash. I don't know where it raked up such high reviews.

The app is great and provides you with the best opportunity to buy tickets however I leave for Japan in a couple of days and have been waiting on customer service to get back with me for almost 49 hours. You can't call them you have to go through their chat and if you email them they tel you that you should get a reply in your chat within 24 hours. That isn't the case. Japan airlines can't find my name on any flights and Hopper customer service is AWOL!

How can you name an app that tells you to wait when tickets are at $365, and then it tells you to buy when the same tickets are at $599?? Worst app ever!!!

Not Reliable

It asked me to wait when the flight ticket was $450 in August, it said price will drop to $373 so I waited. In October it asked me to buy it now when the ticket went up to $626, and said that price was the lowest price. I could have saved $$$ when it was $450. This app isn't reliable.

Thanks to Hopper, I've been able to afford to take two international trips this year. I put in my dates in advance and let Hopper do all the work, finding me the best rates. Not just the best rates - unbelievable rates!! I called Hopper's customer service to ask a question and the incredibly helpful and friendly agent I spoke to even said "wow - that's a great price!". I've recommended Hopper to at least a dozen or more friends!

Ripoff!

Purchased flight protection insurance for $19.50, Enhanced Plus Travel Protection Trip Insurance. Tried to change flight by one day on JetBlue, but they don't know about insurance and will charge $100. Tried to change on Hopper and it doesn't work, no option to change. Customer support sent me to AON Travel claims. He had no clue but eventually said it only works if you're hospitalized and can't travel. He promised to email policy. It never came and Hopper never responded either.
Avoid at all cost!

Booking nightmare
October 7, 2019

I booked a flight couple hours later within the 24 hours of cancellation trying to access to my trip and chance it, but I can't get in contact with costume support of Hopper; the airline said the purchase was generated with a different card, so if they cancel the flight the money will not come back to me.
Why is this process so complicated?

This app is terrible!! My girlfriend and I have been planning a trip to Hawaii for months now. After hearing great things about this app, I decided to give it a shot, when I put the flight information into the app, the current price was in the low $400 range, but the app said to wait, saying that the prices would go into the low $300 range. So I decided to wait on buying tickets, every week or so I would check in and it kept saying to wait, however the prices were getting more and more expensive. Finally this past week the app said to get tickets as the prices were only going to go up, however, by this point the cost was over $500, not once did the price ever go down. Terrible app, I'm never using it again and I suggest you don't either!

I booked a flight and two days later my boyfriend found the same flights at the same price and was able to pick his seat immediately. With hoppers suggested tip, I actually spent more than my boyfriend for the same trip. Good for tracking, I would not suggest for booking.
