I attempted to register my pet 4 consecutive days and received an error message each of the many times I clicked on "find my pet" (after entering and double-checking the required information). The error message included a toll-free number to call stating someone was on hand to assist 24/7. I called and there was only a
recorded message thanking me for my patience, asking me to hold, and promising to be back right away. I found several better options for HomeAgain. I suggest anyone with a microchipped pet search for alternatives.
They send me an email to renew my pet's annual microchip. I click and NOTHING! I go to their f!@#$%^&*ed up not working website. I put in what I think is user name and pass code. DENIED! Click onto retrieve my info and it just spins and spins. I try and call the f!@#$%^&*ed up 800 number and the SOBS hung up on me! I go back to the damn email and try again and FINALLY the insensitive bastards let me renew. So help me God, if my pet didn't come with this company's microchip, I would NEVER EVER use them again. (and this is annually. I have to go through this hell next year!) The website is irritating and unresponsive. I can not tolerate crap that does not work. And thanks to them, tomorrow I have to buy another phone because I trashed mine trying to contact them. THEY SUCK! Problems; STAY AWAY!
For the last four years HomeAgain has double billed me... Called customer service each of the last four years and was assured they would correct the problem... Laughable, as they continue to double bill and this evening received another bill for this coming year (2021) - Have to wonder how many people have fallen for this double billing - They need to be investigated for their inept business practices and have to wonder if both of my pets are actually protected and this company might be all about the money and not my pets? They'll not receive another penny from me!
The veterinarian Banfield used this chipping service however after my pet was chipped I was never able to register my pet either on line or over the phone. If calling Homeagain no one answers and the connection would drop after 10 minutes of waiting on hold. If I got a live person they always transfered the call back into the recording and eventually the call would drop. No service to speak of and now I have to rechip my pet with a different vet and chip service
Up until this past year - I have easily renewed my pet's chip. Now it won't work. They don't answer the phone and they don't respond to emails. I have tried for SEVEN MONTHS! And to top it off I can't remove my credit card. Guess the best I can do is report to the BBB. Not sure what else to do
Called several times, left several messages and sent several emails and no one responded. When someone eventually answered one of my calls, they pretended they couldn't hear me and hung up. Useless. They also double charged me for a tag.
Absolutely impossible to get anyone on the phone. You are on hold for HOURS. Emailing them does nothing - they say they are working on your question/issue but never get back to you and never update anything and the emails they 'say' will be sent to you never come. Totally the WORST company to do business with. I am also emailing the BBB regarding them. They are awful.
I submitted a lost pet report and received a voicemail advising me to update the report I submitted. Had the information I was requested to provide been mentioned when I first submitted the report, no followup would have been necessary. On top of that, the tone of the message I received was very rude and condescending.
I am on hold for almost two hours to get my dog registered, the service agent is very rude and is not helpful at all. Run away from this business as fast as you can! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
Heaven help us if your dog ever gets lost... this company sure will not help you to get them back.
This company is terrible. Someone found my dog and had her scanned. Since I got her from someone else, I did not know she was chipped.
Anyway, the person who found her posted my dog's pic on line but said I could not have her until I could prove she was mine. I called HomeAgain twice and left frantic messages. HomeAgain NEVER called back!
I called them today and they had NO RECORD of my calls.
They do not provide the service they advertize!
I did not choose this service, my cat's previous owner did. After much trouble we were able to get kitty transferred to me. When kitty got out and did not come back, I called Home Again for help and got none. They said they only help you if you have a paid account. Fortunately, my kitty made it back home on her own!
That was several years ago, and I have not thought about this company now, while closing all her accounts because she had to put her to sleep. I logged onto Home Again and all her information was gone. When I searched by the microchip ID it says it is registered with Home Again, but her profile is blank. They never contacted me and said they were removing her profile. I hunted the website looking for a way to just close the account but found nothing, so I sent them a message and of course did not get a response.
I always had a bad impression of Home Again and wondered if it was a scam. A quick google found that they are in a class action suit for claiming that they will delete your information if you don't pay them. I would be happy if they finished the job and deleted my personal information since they already deleted my beloved cat. I do not recommend this company. They do not appear to be honest and have extremely poor communication and basically no customer service.
This company cannot even handle a customer service call adequately and apply payments correctly, let alone find your lost fur baby.
Ridiculous! They now have my money and continue to send me emails telling me my pet's no longer covered.
I sent two payments, one for Gillis and the other for Blue.
I included proof on my bank statement payment was made in July 2030, and one other payment made by calling in with my payment to this company and the other a check cashed on June 21,2020.
They applied one of the payments to a deceased dog I had that died on Easter Sunday morning, and I asked Home Again to update their records with THREE phone calls!
They applied one of my payments to my DECEASED DOG instead of Blue's.
I'm so tired of this company's inept accounting services... if my lost dog was sitting right in front of their door they would not be able to find it for me.
I strongly urge anyone to never use this company.
As you can see from the photos, yesterday somebody went in incorrectly applied the payment to blues account and renewed his membership, then hours later I received another email that said his membership had expired.

I called Monday Aug 17th 2021 and asked them not to Renew my membership right now bc I'm under Financial hardship plus I didn't have auto Renew on and they told me that the pending charges would drop off plus I would receive an email and phone call... I'm Pissed off bc the only thing that I received this morning was an Email saying I'm Renew went thru after specifically telling them on the 17th not to and was told don't worry it won't go thru. I also told them that I would Renew it in a couple of months but because they're Greedy told the money anyway. They better refund my money or else I'm contacting my bank and get them for fraud because as I said earlier I didn't have auto Renewal on...

I was auto-charged last week on 5/10/22 after I had elected not to be auto-charged LAST YEAR. Today is 5/17 and my pet still shows expired. So they took my money but did not deliver their "service". When you call their customer service you're put on hold for a very long time and then you'll get a recording asking you to leave a message. There is no way to cancel service on their web site or find your credit card info in order to delete it! They do not answer emails. I tried contacting Merck, their parent company only to find out their email address is no longer valid. They don't have a direct number to call regarding their Home Again company. I have contacted my bank to dispute the last auto-charge they made. My bank asked that I document all communication by emailing Home Again to cancel my account and to keep that email. I have another pet coming up for auto-renewal next month and I'm sure Home Again will charge me again w/o my permission. I'm hoping my bank will work with me to block all future charges from Home Again. I Googled Home Again reviews and was shocked at all the bad reviews and stories. I read that they're not even monitoring your pet's chip; that if they go missing they won't even help them "Home Again"! I have an appointment w/my vet next week and it will be interesting to hear what they say.
Terrible company. Wrote wrong spelling of names on Registration missed digit on phone number. Terrible response by phone from Amanda supervisor. God forbid you need them if your pet is missing!
I have been trying to register my Dogs Chip Number with the package I received from the Vet For Months. I guess I will have to go back to my Vet and Suggest then discontinue all Services with this company. I have Called multiple times, used the Email and Chat formats and nobody does anything. The chip is non Existing in there System, After I read all the other Reviews and Complaints I guess I am not Surprised. Sounds like non existing customer Service is the Norm, it sure doesn't sound like my pet will be protected. I have one Dog that already has a chip with them and I am seriously thinking about having it removed and re chipped.

I hope my pets never get lost everytime i made a change address phone whatever I indicated it on the paper renewal form just paid by mail for one of my dogs renewals when I looked at the website none of the changes I made were indicated wrong address wrong vet wrong phone wrong other contact phone when I checked the other pets the renewals hadn't been done as all of the info was old terrible and unreliable if one of them got lost no one would be able to contact me defeats the whole purpose
