Beware of scams!
We booked a rental car for 2 weeks in Colombia via this platform and paid the full amount in advance. We received the confirmation voucher and the money was debited. However, our booking was not passed on to the local agency.
So when we arrived, the local agency had no record of our reservation and no available vehicles.
The platform is very difficult to contact (no email address or WhatsApp), there is only a contact form.
The platform only sends automatic messages indicating that the request will be processed, but no concrete action is taken.
Despite several reminders and the filing of a complaint, it was impossible to get any news about the refund.
This is a fraudulent platform.

Made a booking and then found a better deal so cancelled it within 20 minutes but they still charges $14.50 for cancelling 'Insurance' for a car that I NEVER rented from them? What a effing rip-off! Never again!
I have been charged a Further £512 over the initial charge I paid when booking on the internet, Full cover. You think you are getting their Full Cover, paying the maximum charge offered and then they take more money from you without warning. The first time it happened was in June when they charged me a further 190 Euros when I collected the car, then a second time in August when I returned from holiday and saw they had taken £512 from my American Express Card. I cannot stress how bad this company are. To take money from you when you think you are getting their maximum cover is unbelievable. And I am most careful when I book something like this online. I have taken it up with Holiday cars who have not resolved the problem. Its definitely fraudulent behaviour and I am now taking it further legally.

This broker is a cover for poor quality hire car companies. They put me with faircar in iceland and would not change the booking or offer refund even though it has dangerous reviews. I will have to find an alternative and loose the money.
Rented from Holiday Cars. Com, prepaid $61.00 for car to be picked up at Orlando Airport, received voucher stating paid in full, $0.00 due upon arrival, got there, they sub-contracted out to TUFlorida, voucher said if Credit Card covered insurance, nothing due, company charged $202.00 for fees and insurance. SCAM.

Dont book through them!
I made a complain about a car I couldnt rent it 2 month ago. Since then they promised me to solve my problem in 28 days, but didnt get that. First they delayed, then asked for clarifications to which I promptly responded and now they are not even answering my email.
Holidaycars seems to be one of the worst web shopping experience I have ever had.
No car, no money back, no response!
I rented from Holiday cars, and it was a quick and painless process. Picked up the car, had a great experience, and saved money. I will rent from them again. Don't put too much stock in the bad reviews. Just remember, people create problems for themselves. It was an easy and pleasant experience.

If I could give a 0 star that would still be too much... Rented a car in Fort Lauderdale for 9 hours and was charged for two days. I showed my email from them and it did not match the mine so they put the wrong date. Easirent would not change then on top of that Easirent forced me to purchase insurance even though it is covered on my CC.
1. The pick up location for the shuttle bus to Heathrow had been changed and we had not been informed
2. The company had moved and we were not advised
3. We paid nearly double the cost of the booking again in additional charges on arrival, I would add this did not just happen to us on this day a fellow person that rode the shuttle with us also experienced this - he regularly booked rental vehicles and he said he'd never experienced anything like it
4. We had to wait about 2 1/2 hours to get the car, it was not ready
5. The assistants did not give straight or honest answers to our questions, we felt like we were in the middle of a sales scam ( which I think we were)
6. The car engine light was on in the car as we took off, they 'fixed' it but it came on again 50 miles later
7. There was sticky residue on the back seat, the car had crackers in the cup holders
All in all absolutely awful, the worst we have ever experienced even reviewing at a 1 is stretching our experience
Worst company I've ever dealt with. We changed the name of the person picking up our car and they cancelled our reservation without warning. I called and talked to customer service forever and they wouldn't budge even though they admitted it was their fault. I will never ever reserve through them again. Stay away from HolidayCars.com!

We used Holiday which I know now is a third party booker for the company that actually provides the car. We were supposed to pick up a car in Keflavik Airport Iceland. When we got to the airport there was no information available to tell us where to get the car. My wife and I ended up wandering around the airport back lots in the rain trying to locate the office and car of the actual rental company Iceland Car Rental. There was no information from Holiday that told us the who we were actually renting from.
Well i booked a car rental with holidaycars.com then wanted to ammend the pickup time since their website defaulted to 0900 hrs instead of 1730 hrs which is what i choose on the drop down bar. Unable to change it with the provider then said holidaycars has to change Couldnt contact them so i sent them a cancellation email well ahead of pickup time They responded saying you cannot cancel even tho their website states ammend or cancel for free up to 48 hours before pick up This company is a total scam do not use them
I found this site online through a popular travel site. They advertised free cancellation, and the price was good. However, as I was preparing for my trip, I realized I never received a confirmation email, even though my credit card was charged. When I called the company, there was no record of the transaction. I had to file a claim with my bank, then miraculously a few months later, they sent me an email, where I could cancel my reservation (the one there was no record of), and received a refund. 3 weeks later, the charge reappeared on my credit card. When contacted, the customer service department stated that there were no other transactions posted from them, which was proven false by my bank. I am now on my second dispute. I don't even know if this is a legit company. We ended up renting from Dollar, and couldn't have been happier.

If you made a reservation through our website, you should receive a confirmation from us, that we received a request from you. In this email a reference number is mentioned. With this reference number we could locate your reservation. In case you don't have this number, we can try to find your reservation with the lead drivers name, rental destination and rental period.
We will always find a way to locate your car rental request with us, so there is no need to dispute the payment to us.

Having turned up at Mahon menorca airport to find our car rental is actually off site, not on site as stated, we couldn't use it as with two young children it was impossible to get there. I raised a case for a refund and I'm still waiting two months on and still no resolution. Very frustrating.
Really BAD. Car smelt horrible. I also initially bought a 3 day rental but flight was delayed and I only used car for 2 days. They don'rt care and refuse to give a credit back. Also, the car they gave me had expired plates and I was pulled over. This place is a joke

Very unreliable company. I made an order that I needed to change due to hospitalization. I asked to cancel but they said there is no refund at all so I asked to keep the order and they were not ready and charged me full payment ($450) without me getting any car. Customer service really didn't help, they just told me that unfortunately they had no way to help, because the money had already been transferred to the local car company. When I got to the local car company they said they had never had such an order from holidaycars and that they had not charged anything.
Do yourself a favor and don't order through this company, I feel like they just stole money from me.
Beware working with this company. The "fine print" of their contract contains additional charges that you won't learn of until you pick up the car, unless you read through the entire set of terms & conditions. I was charged 22 to have a car with a full tank of gas. That isn't to fill it up, mind you, it's just to have gas actually in the car. I wrote to them about this and they basically told me that I agreed to that when I rented the car instead of taking responsibility for an absolutely absurd charge that I have never encountered with any other car I've rented in 25 years of renting cars. Stay away.

In Barcelona, they refused to give us a car and said that insurance was not paid. Instead of 174 euros, 328 euros were additionally charged from us. We refused to pay this amount and tried to record the refusal on video, but they called the airport security to us and said that they would arrest us. We were with two young children and refused a bus to the hotel so there was no turning back.
We agreed.
So we paid Prepayment: 39.78 + 328 euros for them (in attachments)
Please return our money or I will sue!
I also want to say that I was in a foreign country without a phone and tried to contact your support team by asking passers-by for a phone. But the answering machine said that at that time you weren't working!

My flight was not even delayed I just booked the vehicle one hour in advance to make it is ready for the pick-up time. Last time I booked with holiday cars the vehicle was not ready. I was then told by the local rental company that I am too late, despite having paid in advance for a week. The general terms and conditions do not specify any time frame in which the vehicle needs to be collected. But I find 60 minutes are ridiculous if the vehicle is paid for an entire holiday. I can only advise all customers not to book with holiday cars and their suppliers. In my opinion, this is fraudulent! They are only getting paid twice and are not interested at all to hand over the vehicle to you! Do not book here! You will only lose your money!

I'm sorry that we are not able to provide you with a positive outcome to your refund request. If the car rental supplier is not informed, they may rent the car to someone else once the supplier's waiting period has expired. This waiting period varies per supplier and is not known in advance by us.
This information is provided within the General Conditions. These conditions are offered at various moments during the reservation process and have to be agreed to in order to complete the reservation. We do not charge cancellation fees to be difficult, but rather to cover our costs associated with this highly discounted pricing. Some of our competitors do not even allow a cancellation or a modification once the rental is confirmed. In that respect, we feel our cancellation policy is fair.

Covid booking was cancelled by holiday cars.com. They refused a full refund promising to allow the cancelled booking to be fully rolled over to another hire. This was a complete lie and refused. 1000's of people in this situation. Now the company has been declared bankrupt but miraculously reopens having no obligation to previous customers. Disgraceful. Boycott this company. Liars and cheats. Do you really want to book with a company like this!

At the time you created your reservation you chose to add the cancellation insurance to your reservation. Thanks to this insurance you have avoided high cancellation fees! The cancellation protection is an optional item that is not pre-selected on our website and is only added to the booking if selected by the customer at time of booking. The costs for the cancellation protection are non-refundable in case of cancelling your reservation.
