First of all they sent the wrong order, the complete order was wrong. I asked what happened and they stated my customized order was to late. The entire order was missing all the recipes in the bag. They will NOT send you the recipes even if you ask for them. And spices were missing from one bag!
Don't waste your time with this company! No customer service skills at all. Please save yourself a hugh headache!
Always have surprise meals and the quality is bad. It happened three times to me that they charge me and send me surprise meals and charged surprise bills when I do not want them. The first time I forget to skip the week and only found out two days before shipping on my credit card statement. Their customer service told me it was too late to cancel and charged me without letting me choose the menu. No complaints because I forgot. But they sent me almost garbage (veggies already turn black). Then I remembered to skip the weeks for about one and a half months. Then they charged me another surprise meal again although I skipped the week and confirmed it was skipped when they wanted me to choose the dishes. Again, a surprise meal with all the chipset dishes but an expensive surprise bill and not allowing me to change things 4-5 days before they ship. The box integrate was absolutely nothing to do with Fresh, and the amount is small. Completely unsatisfied and untrustable!
I have been a Hello Fresh customer for 3 years. When I recently had trouble with the app and needed to adjust an order, I called customer service. Not only was I told that there was nothing they could do, but the supervisor I talked to was incredibly rude, accused me of lying and told me my business was essentially not important to them. There are way too many meal services out there to provide that poor level of customer service. I cancelled my account and will move on to another company.
I used HelloFresh last year and had to stop because of delivery issues and missing ingredients. They emailed me and asked me to come back guaranteeing they had resolved their issues. So I tried. My first box came 8 days late. There was no insulation in the box and the one ice pack was busted and goo was everywhere. All the food was spoiled and soiled. I tried for seven weeks to get a refund but was abused and lied to by their support team and never received a refund.

We order 5 meals for 2 people, each week at a cost of approx £50+ each week.
They constantly ignore our delivery instructions.
The last 2 weeks we have made changes to our menu, which have not been recognised and we have received the wrong meals.
In addition to this, this week we have missing ingredients!
When ringing in it's clear that the call centre is not in the UK and they are most unhelpful, it sounds like they're having a party in the background.
If you ask to speak to a manager you have to wait 48 hours for them to call you at their convenience.
Avoid this company at all costs they are appallingly bad.

My girlfriend was given a gift certificate and went on the site to look at meals. I then separately went on the site to look at meals. We were going to confer and decide which ones to go with, but hello fresh submitted both our orders without our consent. We never reached the end screen or submitted anything. Beware you have to put your credit card in first and then look at meals! Very shady I called and spoke with a representative who talked in circles and would not help me cancel my order. Once I saw my credit card had been charged my girlfriend also called and got a different representative who had the same talk track of going in circles and not actually helping us.
You can not rely on what you think you understand when you make an order. For example, I just got a Hello Fresh box on two days in a row. I only made one order to take advantage of a very food discount offer. I got the discounted food on Friday and then on Saturday I received a box at the highest price I have every paid. It was the same number so servings just about 25% more expensive. I changed my delivery date from a Friday to a Saturday so they said this caused a second delivery. What a scam. I have had other problems with my orders and what I expected to pay and what they charged. If you talk to them the will have a excuse and put the situation on the buyer. Their food is good but I suggest not buying from them and if you decide to buy on a discount make sure you understand exactly what you are agreeing to purchase so you don't start getting food you do not want.
I used hello fresh years ago. In November 2023 (after their profit warning and share price collapse) I got a sales call. I declined the offer they were selling. But they began charging me and sending me boxes every week immediately after. I kept emailing and calling to stop the orders but they kept coming. And now they are refusing to refund me boxes I never ordered.
I had problems with pausing deliveries. The app and on the site was not reflecting my selection. I attempted 7 days prior to delivery. But they still charged my account and will not refund. Lost a customer. Because they see in their system, does not mean I was not trying to pause the deliveries. Customer Service they do not have a option in their system to refund. Disappointing.

I called to cancel the subscription (i never ordered in the first place), and they keep charging me. I just noticed that i have been charged upwards of $350 and have never received one box
Customer service manager was rude, dishonest and not helpful. He tried to give me a 30$ credit

Terrible to use, the offers don't actually correlate to what you pay. You can't pick your own meals if you take up their "offer" it asks you what meal types you prefer but then ignore it and choose irrelevant options. On top of all this, the app doesn't make it easy to cancel. I can't wait to call them
Hello Fresh keep me sending a weekly delivery without making it obvious that this would happen. I feel that the free trail was a scheme to get my bank details and charging me a new delivery without noticing it.
I am upset and I don't think that this is a honest way of making business. I am sure that I am not the first person with the same type of comment.

You have to create an account to view meal options. After I decided it wasn't for me, I cancelled same day and received a cancellation confirmation. A month later a random box shows up and I'm charged $40. CS says I cancelled the subscription but not the delivery and it was already a "deep" discount so they will not refund. What even is a subscription if not delivery? A SCAM
Beware-The Hellofresh app automatically sends boxes every week with no choice of picks unless you change the menu. I skipped this week, but for some reason it didn't skip by the skip date and I am out of state this week so I am not there to get delivery and because of the Holiday this week the delivery date is actually 2 days earlier. I contacted Hellofresh first thing this am and they would not cancel delivery or skip until next week, therefore I cancelled my subscription. Most food choices are good, but too repeated each week.
I did not even ask for a box and they did not notify they were sending one…. They charged me 51 dollars for it. And when I asked to cancel the box and get me refund. They said nothing can be done about it. I am never recommending this to anyone and telling people not to subscribe to Hellofresh. I was actually thinking of continuing the meal later on. But looking at their customer service I am not doing that. What a scam! Bull$#*! service and Bull$#*! customer care. I would give them negative stars if that were an option.

Charged after canceling. Refused refund because it's subscribed once. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Totally bad experience, charged me even didn't selected and submitted ingredients and I am vegetarian.

I quickly lost interest after realizing they don't deliver ready food, you have to spend half an hour cooking... what's the point here? I can find free recipes online and buy whatever ingredients I need at the supermarket without these guys.

Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
