HauteLook did a flash sale last month of jewelry. The sale indicated that merchandise would go out when the sale was completed. We were interested in a beautiful piece for Mother's Day. I actually contacted customer service to define where to ship it and to make sure we would get the piece in time. The rep said that would happen. Today - Friday - it is still not here. USPS has a tracking system that indicates it should have been received yesterday but now updates. In reaching out to customer service at HauteLook the rep simply stated that USPS had eight days to deliver the package. She didn't seem the least bit concerned that I had called before to make an informed decision.
Today, I reached the conclusion after many interactions with HauteLook that they are primarily interested in selling as much merchandise as possible and have little, if any concern about customers needs. Getting inexpensive luxury merchandise for myself is one thing. Getting a gift for a loved one? If they can't fulfill the expectation, tell us.
Return processing takes over a month and the company loses orders, so impossible to track your return some of the time. I will no longer purchase from them.
I love haute look. I am a very loyal customer and have been shopping with them for the last couple years or so. The only issue I've had ( after at least 20 orders this is the first issue to come up) was not getting an item I ordered for a trip in the estimated shipment date. I called customer service the week after it should have been delivered and not only were they extremely helpful and understanding, but they went above and beyond what most companies would do. The representative gave me her name and email address and she was going to investigate why my item had not arrived. I explained to her I ordered this item for an upcoming trip and I really needed it by a certain date or I would have to cancel the order. She updated me a couple days later through email and apologized about the delay. I decided to cancel the order but thanked haute look for the stellar customer service. I was refunded the full amount of the item no questions asked( despite it being a very expensive purchase). They also credited my account with a $30 for the inconvenience and understanding. I could not have been happier with the customer service representative. I've recently dealt with other online discount companies that are polar opposite of haute look when it comes to customer service and assistance with returns and what not and I will NEVER AGAIN order anything from that other company again due to poor customer service policies and communication skills. Making a customer happy like haute look is really how you keep loyal customers coming back!
I bought through Hatelook, a 7 Mankind Jeans and an italian handbag, both deliveries were planned for 2-3 weeks after the ebent closed. I accepted the delivery date, paid and waited long 3 weeks, finally I received an email for my jean delivery on the way and told me the handbag would be delivered separated. I received my jean in a wrong size and an email telling me sorry but they would cancel the handbag order due to short inventory. What?!?!?! I checked the website and for my surprise they opened again the same event with italian handbags, very unreliable and this website pkays with false advertisement. I'm not gping to buy here again
The deals are not bad but the shipping takes FOREVER. By the time I actually got my packages, I brought them right to the store and returned them because it was something I needed/wanted before it arrived, 8 WEEKS later. I will never shop on this site again, when you buy from China it comes faster!
Waited almost 3 weeks for my home décor items. After following up with the Hautelook customer service (after no notice from them) twice, only half of my order arrived. After 2 weeks of chasing Hautelook for the remaining portion of my order I was advised the goods will NOT be delivered since they were overcommitted from the vendor and I would not be receiving my goods. I am still waiting on my card to be refunded - who knows how long that will take.
Safe to say I will NEVER be ordering from Hautelook again.
I have been on hold for almost an hour. Last time I will ever order from Haute and I'm going to tell all my friends family and customers about my horrible experience
Two items ordered 8/30 with three ship-by deadlines now passed. Stay away from this site. No response from email and only a "good news" comment from online chat that I now had a 4th deliver-by date.
I ordered twice and had to returned them all. They didn't look like in the picture and materials were so cheap. It took forever to receive the returned credit. Do not buy anything from this site.
The 2 times I've purchased from this site the merchandise received was DIFFERENT than what was pictured. I purchased a $50 gold necklace that was described as being 30" in length (I specifically wanted a long necklace). When I received it, it was only 16". I called Customer Service to complain and the woman asked me "MAYBE YOU MEASURED IT WRONG. DID YOU MEASURE IT LENGTHWISE?" Did she think I was an idiot?
Then just recently I ordered Ben Sherman bag for my husband. The strap was shown to have a white racing stripe on it (the main reason why my husband wanted it.) We received it yesterday and the strap is solid black.
I will not be shopping here anymore!
Great customer service. Other than that, not much else great to say. Shipping long. List prices are completely false. Orders often do not arrive because their shipment did not come in.
I love the selection of products and the prices but i am very tired of the shipping wait. Every single time i buy something from them it takes a whole month to TWO months to get to me! I buy a winter jacket and by the time it gets here, its not even winter! I live in the US, so theres no excuse for this! Im getting very irritated. Still waiting on my item to ship and its been a month. Hasnt even SHIPPED yet. Rediculous! BEWARE HOLIDAY GIFT BUYERS: You definitely will not get your purchase by christmas!
I bought an offer from non-refundable " Getaway offers"! Guess what I called the hotel the night before my trip to check the prices, they offer me the same room for 25% less money. I paid 180.00 to Hautlook offer for Lanai Garden room in Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego on November 27 2010. Hotel offered 120.00 dollars when i called the night before. DON'T LET THEM FOOL YOU.
I've never had an issue with Hautelook and receive things in a timely manner. I also love that I can return anything I buy from their site to Nordstrom Rack.
I return more than I buy. BEWARE OF NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS! This means they are not desirable by ANYONE! Items are not described fully leading to sure disappointment. And beware if you have any problems with this site... their customer service is D- at best. I am unsubscribing.
I would give 0 stars if I could, bought a pair of shoes the heel broke with in one wear. Called someone at customer service and was informed that since I wore them they could not return them. Clearly a quality issue on their part so kinda ridiculous they won't work with me. Asked to speak to a supervisor ( as a retail manager myself is my least favorite sentence) who wouldn't bother to speak to me themselves and just had the representative do it, (which to me screams bad supervisor) to tell me the exact same thing. I have 18 year olds that work for me that can handle a situation better then those employees.

PROS: Same pros as any other sample sale site - there are deals.
CONS: BE A SMART SHOPPER. On a few occasions, I have noticed that they'd OVERSTATE what the retail price would be. For instance, I remember shopping a particular brand of which I own many pieces. One shirt showed an MSRP much higher than the company's website, as well as every other legitimate boutique site online (like shopbop, revolve, etc.).
While the discounts are definitely under retail price, it might not be as big a discount as you may think.
Answer: Try to obtain as much information as you can about the model and make of the watch. This also includes pictures. Look for the serial # and other things such as the setting, dial, band, etc to see if it's correct. Make sure you can return the item if your not satisfied before you commit to buying. Also have a reputable Certified Rolex dealer look at the watch if you do choose to buy. You can have papers reissued if the watch is authentic. I hope this helps.
