Recently ordered a cake at an astronomical price from them - $70.00. I reside in TX and my father lives in AZ. So after 3 days he received it. My father is not hard of hearing and is 78 years old... so he hasn't gone anywhere. The driver placed the cake on his doorstep and left it. The following morning, after he got up, he went outside to go to the store. There was the cake. 3 ice packets melted and the cake in ruins. Just an FYI... it was 108 degrees that day. NEVER AGAIN!
The Harry&David foods are very tasty and healthier one. The food are makes in clean water. That company is based on the customer satisfaction. It cannot consider the customer money. I have most like this company foods. It is so healthy for the all the kinds of people. The company have to provide online ordering facilitates also. You have try in one time. And your are have more addiction from that company foods.
I have been a pretty happy recipient of the gifts. I checked on an order and was offered a Lobdter pot pie for $35. This is a good buy but never mentioned an over $16 S & H. Ridiculous. I've learned a lesson

I love this site! They have wonderful gifts and honest reviews. They are a little pricey, especially when you add on shipping, but sometimes they have good deals. I've used them several times for Mtoher's Day, Father's Day, and even Easter!
The pears and apples were spoiled when they arrived. Customer service is lousy--four times I have sent pictures of the label (order number, etc.) and spoiled fruit and keep get a request to send the order number. Look elsewhere if you want to send a reliable gift. The takeovers have ruined what was a good company years ago.
I paid 87.45 for a basket of oranges and candy I received 9 oranges and about half pound of cheap candy it was so disappointing even the basket was metal please don't waste your money send a gift card such as a visa or mastercard your recipient will appreciate it more believe me
Received a gift package today with pears. The condition of the fruit was so bad that I have to throw three of them away and the other three I have to cut up tonight. For what these packages cost I was very surprised of the condition that were they were shipped.
I will never do business with this company again. The first order of oranges out of 24 honey bells there were 6 the rest of the order were just oranges. And half of them were soft and starting to mold. Called customer service and they said they would send me out another order. The next order was even worse called again and after being on hold for like 10 minutes the lady said they were all out of the regular honey bells so they were going to send me organic honey bells. She said they were more expensive and so much better so I got the organic ones on Saturday February 18th and this is what I got when I opened up the box. I'm going to just try to get my money back but it seems they don't want to do that so we will see.Wish I could give it a negative star
I ordered 9 separate gift boxes sent to 9 different addresses. It was 12/22 and i was offered $7 shipping and delivery on 12/23.
In the middle of the order, the promo quite working (Expired no notice) I was then promised delivery between December 28 and January 2 and the new shipping rate was $21.
Of the 9 boxes, 3 were delivered on 12/29... the rest? Delivered January 5th. Embarrassing and the chat reps were rude..
I ordered two boxes of truffles over two weeks ago. This morning they called to say they needed a different card, although the first card was fine. Then they didn't add in the discount and were more interested in selling me more items than fixing the problem. I have enjoyed this item for years but will not order again. Outsourcing customer support has not worked well for them in this case. Too bad.I live in Oregon and was buying from an Oregon business. An additional update: because it wasn't miserable enough, after I spoke to them and they had my credit card go through, they contacted me two days later to say my order needed a credit card! I even forwarded them my processed invoice and made sure the amount did post on my card. Which it did. I refused to give them a credit card and they emailed that then they had to cancel my order. I did contact my credit card company and got a refund. Never never never deal with this company.
Just received a fruit basket from Harry and David due to my Mom's passing.
The apples and pears were all bruised inside when cut opened. Very disappointed. Thought Harry and David had a better reputation then what I received.
I am sorry to report the horrendous fruits we have received each month. When I called customer service on Oct. 5th, 2022, the customer service representative kept me on the phone for a full 15 minutes. She could not find my order number and kept putting me on hold. Then finally I asked to speak to her manager, again I was put on hold and was told he is presently on a call. After waiting for a while, I finally gave up. I let the customer service rep know that I was going to ask the person who sent the fruit of the month to stop these monthly gifts. Interesting, that the customer service person could not even find the name of the giver even after I carefully spelled her name and gave the city and state of her residence. I finally called the giver myself and asked to stop the order because she is waiting her money and most of the fruit ended up in the trash.
I received a Harry and David gift box of mixed items that included pears. Usually their pears are wonderful however this time the pears did not ripen. I called customer service and they sent another box of pears. Again, these did not ripen after 2 weeks. I called again, mainly to let them know of the problem with their pears. I didn't ask for anything, but their customer service rep is now going to send us cherries! Customer service does not get any better than this!
Received a fruit arrangement 2 days before Christmas. Rotten grapefruits & oranges. Pear with black fuz. Fruit & candies not packaged as shown on website. Company did not want to refund money. Offered back 20% of $99 back to purchaser! What has happened to Harry & David?
It is not reliable they use your card at least they charge you double and then you have to wait hours for the problem to be fixed this is a headache I never thought about it but it was the worst experience.
I was invited to a friends home with several members of my family for Thanksgiving dinner.
Once last year and again this year. 2020 the meal never came after countless calls from the host in previous days. Foolishly the host ordered again this year and again the dinner never came after ordering weeks in advance and countless assurances we would receive it. The hosts had to run to the supermarket the night before Thanksgiving and purchase and cook meal for several people. Terrible customer service. Never Never order from this company.
My order never arrived. I paid 150 $ for a gift basket that never arrived. Three days after the arriving dat I received a call telling me that the item was sold out!

I placed an order for a Sympathy Basket to be delivered in 2 days via FedEx. Three days later I placed a call to Harry & David as the shipping information showed no movement. I received a callback 45 minutes later, as they had a high number of calls. I was extremely disappointed to find the call was "outsourced" and the young lady on the other end volleyed from apologizing to placing me on extended "holds" without offering a real solution. I was truly disappointed in the lack of basic understanding and that I had spent $100 on an item I didn't receive in time, and wasted and additional 30 minutes trying to get a solution. My employer orders from Harry & David quite a bit; which is where I took the experience from. Never again, and I'll take the corporate account with me.
I ordered the Christmas Cactus for my mother, for her to enjoy for the holidays. When it arrived, the dirt was misplaced and it had severe freeze damage. When I contacted customer service their response was to offer me a 20% coupon for my 'next purchase'! There will be NO -next purchase! Very disappointed in this company!
I was given a gift ordered early Dec. I was suppose to get the Cushman Oranges for Christmas 2022. Here it is 16 Feb 2023 and I still have not received the oranges. I was sent a card from Harry& David stating my order would get here in January. I never got a notice from Harry & David that delivery was changed. When I called to inquire I was treated so badly and will never do business with them. They do not care for their customers and they make it obvious. I would rate them less than one star if that option were available.

Answer: In the past this company offered excellent quality products--albeit a bit overpriced. Now the price is the same (or higher) but the quality has definitely gone downhill. Not sure if the company was bought out or what, but... I will never order from them again. They have done permanent damage to their reputation and their customer base is eroding quickly.

Answer: It isn't difficult to reach them via phone, just be prepared for hold times. I would definitely recommend calling them rather than email, the email correspondence I had with them was hopeless.
