Lonnie was early to the job and called to make sure that was ok. He got right to work and clearly was competent and experienced in dishwasher replacement. He was friendly but professional. He also knew the product he installed and gave me a run through on operation and features of the unit. Very good experience.
Diego G. Installed our Samsung dishwasher we purchased from Costco. Diego was very friendly and professional. He was very careful bringing it into our home and was very meticulous in making sure that it was installed perfectly. It was a pleasure having an installer who took the time to do the work properly, as though it was his own home.
Peter, a Handy professional, is reliable from start to finish of the job! On the day of the appointment, he even arrived early to assemble my bookcase! He is quick, efficient and did a great job! I now have a beautiful bookcase. Many thanks!
Riley worked for Handy and he was awesome. What a great personality and so helpful. He got the job done. This company was recommended by Costco and we know that Costco stands behind what they sell, and we assume they stand behind who they recommend. For our job, Riley and Handy.com get an A+.
I needed to assemble a new file cabinet and contacted Handy.com. The service exceeded my expectations since I was a first time user. The person showed up on time, assembled the cabinet with no problems, in the allotted time and at the price quoted.
Great service offered via a furniture retailer for furniture assembly. Operative was very polite, professional, and left the area clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this service and will use again via the app.
Brittany was wonderful! Left my house clean and smelling wonderful! Especially appreciated the special attention and time she spent on both my ceramic tiles and hardwood floors. Thanks a bunch Brittany!
The service from the professional was great however the Handy Android app was problematic for me. And the app navigation is not that intuitive. I got a link via text to add a tip for the service I received but when I selected to submit, the app just sat there. And then when I accessed via my laptop it was not intuitive as to where I could find the place to leave a tip and comment. Needs a few tweaks to benefit all parties involved.
Handy sent me a great and very experienced home cleaner and Carey did just great. I needed a deep clean to market my home and she did that and more. Carey knew exactly what she was doing and did it with the experience that comes with expertise, Carey is one of a kind. She was polite, respectful, curious and listen to all my request. Carey was a fast worker and did my job in a timely manner, Did I mention Carey was great! I will use her again when my house sells for a final cleaning.
I have had two bookings with Handy, one for furniture assembly and the other for yard clean-up and landscaping. In both instances the service and professionalism were excellent. I give Handy and the pros they provide my highest rating.
I purchased a service to have a large, heavy outdoor gazebo assembled. I specified in my request that the manufacturer recommended at least two people for the job. Only one was sent. He did the best he could by himself. It was however, a two person job. The job was scheduled for 4 hours, but took 10, over the course of two days. Some of the gazebo parts were scraped and dinged a bit because only one person was there to maneuver them. In the end the job got done but if they want to offer the service of putting together large outdoor structures they need to account for the manpower.
I changed my appointment time on the app and got an e-mail confirmation of the time change but the Handy worker was still scheduled for the original time, I. E. the app does not communicate anything. I also gave a 1 star review because the worker could not complete the job because I didn't have the correct part. I was told I'd still be charged for the full 3 hours but would get a credit when I booked the next job. This was not the worker's fault and I didn't want her to get blamed. I got a $35 credit for a $170 job. Not sure if I want to use this service again unless I can communicate with a real person
My handyman never showed up. When I reached out to customer service they couldn't tell me where he was or if he was even coming. They said they had to tracker or communication for him. Then they were going to make me wait another 3 days for someone else to come out. Most unorganized service I have ever dealt with.
Jon, from Handy, was the best person to put the Wayfair couch together. He was prompt, and polite. Jon is a super handy man, and he left no mess to clean up. He broke down the large box, placed the plastic in another pile, and brought the waste to the dumpster.
I was suppose to have 2 Handy techs install a Samsung TV. One tech once finding out the TV was 85 inches indicated he was uncomfortable with the job. The second tech who was not in communication with the first tech showed up early, but showed up stoned out of his mind.
I would not hire hand... ever
I wouldn't even give them one star. Awful
Handy continues to be the absolute worst service we have ever used! Any message for support goes into a black hole where a different person replies each time. We are a service provider. 90% of their work orders do not reflect correct pricing. When we bring this up, they tell us to just email them as we go and they will fix it, or to just do the work and they will fix it after the fact. Do you know how busy it makes the day if 90% of Handy jobs require us to email for support? 75% of every work order we receive has incorrect job information. Job says 1 toilet, no pickup. In reality its a 6-toilet job with pickup required. THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE WORKED WITH. I will continue to complain and be vocal until someone with some power and responsibility@ Handy gets in touch with me.
Our service was impeccable. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through the setup. He waited to make sure our boiler kicked on before he left and that our phones were properly synced and that the wi fi was connected. I highly recommend his service!
Initial issues with getting a pro at the time agreed, which was rescheduled with the pro. I decided to let handy.com know. But the site will not let me communicate unless if I would rate the pro even though he had not done the job yet. So I rated the pro so the site decided to remove the pro from the job and provide a different pro at a different time, even after I told them they didn't sort the timing for me. The pro who came by was efficient and did a good job. So my stars are not a reflection of the job done but how the site and the admin staff at handy operate.
Beware of the "expert installation" by Handy and Wayfair. Handy.com offers a "over 15ft installation" they cannot fulfill. After four separate pros and over a month, the chandelier is still not installed.
This is a horrible company. I had an issue and contacted customer service - which is a nightmare all by itself. Customer service did get back to me. AND MADE IT WORSE. I told them that I wasn't comfortable having a man in my house that I didn't know. To which they responded, "we cannot guarantee you a female professional exclusively." Ok, that is fine. But, I don't feel safe with a man in my house. So, I asked to cancel the service, since they could not provide me with what I needed. They charged me a $99 fee to cancel my account. Are you kidding me? And, they said if I don't pay it they will send me to collections. This is the worst company. Please, please, please don't get mixed up with them.
Answer: They don't provide a refund, even when they fail to honor the agreement. In my case, they have twice (so far) canceled my house cleaning with one hour's notice. (If I fail to give 24 hours notice of cancellation, I have to pay a penalty. For them, no notice, no penalty.) They told me they were having trouble finding cleaners in my area. And if the no shows are a problem for me, I can pay the $99 cancellation fee. So how long does this go on? Three cancellations, five, ten? Forever? This is an irresponsible company with horrible customer service.
Answer: Im having problems getting paid. I told client to have cash on hand as I wont do the job. Good luck finding someone else with my skill set. Im supposed to do a job tomorrow that i have to buy stuff out of my own money and hold my breath for pay back. Ill stand on a corner begging for money before I do another job for them unless they pay me for past jobs and I talk to someone on the phone.
Answer: Again, these should not be appearing in the automatic feed for FAQ's? Who is doing QA around here?
Answer: Probably should not list someone's personal telephone number in the FAQ feed. What do you guys think?
Answer: Wayfair is also a scam. It's just a matter of time. They are a middle man to hundreds of businesses. They sell products regardless of whether or not the product is available or in inventory. Eventually people will catch on...
