Purchased a firearm from them that FTF, and they refused to pay for repairs. Several attempts made to make amends
Two different times I have had a issue with a gun purchase both times GunBroker came up with someway to say your on your own! Do not expect them to do anything for you NOTHING it makes sence a gun dealer sells 2500 guns a year I buy one and have a issue who are they siding with no brainer. What I'm saying is don't waste your time even contacting them. I'm zero for two! I still use GunBroker but they have taught me alot buy brand new or from a individual seller not a dealer they will side with a dealer every time.
Try to buy anything and you are run in circles...stopped browsing there for stuff years ago...total waste of time for me as a professional. I don't have the extra time needed to navigate thru all the hoops they gave set up.
Almost 20 minutes to setup an account to lo9k at overpriced items with seriously ignorant buying options...one star*
Their customer service is very poor. They do not list telephone number to actually speak to someone about a problem with a seller. Their website makes it difficult to contact them.
Placed an order, never received a confirmation, funds promptly withdrawn from my bank account. Never received items. No customer support. Never again.
Gunbroker has morphed into a place where price gougers...both dealers and individuals...attempt to charge up to double for items readlly available everywhere. I have no idea how this site remains viable. Perhaps 10-15% of the listings are reasonable...at the very most.
I purchased two ww2 pistols they were junk so I returned them the seller made a complaint against me and I was banned by this guys lies. That was 20 years ago and I still cant get on Gunbroker I moved and the guy that purchased my house told me he got banned for having the address of the house I used I live in LOL
Once upon a time I got good service from Gunbroker. I've bought and sold many firearms on their site. Since Ammo took them over I've had nothing but problems with their website. Try and get a person on the phone! You have to be a Gold Member to qualify. Crap customer service. Too bad what happened to them. They have lost a long time and once satisfied customer. I"m sure others will follow.

An online marketplace needs 3 things to be legitimate: good tech, good reputation, and good customer service Gunbroker.com has none of these. Tech: Their system sent an address I did not designate for my purchase to the seller, costing me and extra $55 (big thanks to Crossroad Pawn for giving me back some of this, even though it wasn't his fault). Reputation: read reviews of this site. I didn't before shopping here, and had to endure the nightmare of figuring out how bad they were AFTER buying with them. Customer Service: their customer service was basically nonresponsive and provided useless FAQ answers which showed they didn't even read everything I sent them. I had to write a new email to them multiple times to get them to respond at above a 3rd grade level. Then they tried to BLAME me and the seller for a technical error on their part. This is their response: "The cause of the matter was two fold. Part of it was the buyers fault for not keeping the account defaults up to date before placing bids on items and the other part was the seller for creating the label before the buyer completed seller review. The seller has agreed to refund 25.00 for the transfer fee, we feel that is fair. We are closing out this matter. Have a great weekend." NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH GUNBROKER.COM
Purchased a firearm and seller sent me a worn out piece of JUNK. AD showed gun to be in good condition and even said excellent condition but when it arrived it was so worn out and rickety it was unsafe for use. The slide bolt wouldn't even open. Gunbroker did NOTHING to resolve with the seller and I never received a refund. BUYER BEWARE. Spend your hard earned dollars ANYWHERE ELSE!
I have been trying for months to contact technical support with no response. I am not able to list anything for sale on their platform. I have sent images and a detailed explanation of the issue and the steps that I took to troubleshoot the issues and I got nothing.
UPDATE: After months, I finally got through to Gunbroker's tech support through their Facebook page admins. After that, it took about a week to find the issue on their end and fixed it. Upgraded to 2 stars
I've been using gunbroker for over 10 years. I've had over five hundred complete transaction a lot of them good until this. I recently had a seller threatened me. And I refused to complete the sale. I Contacted gunbroker and told them what happened. Gun broker then suspended my membership. After the seller was still contacting me by phone And by text message harassing me. I then emailed gunbroker again.
Told them that if this individual the seller did not stop. I would have to be contact law enforcement this is terrible customer service. If this is the way I have been treated. I can only imagine if you were ripped off in any way. Gunbroker will not have your back buyer beware.
Gun Broker allows sellers to hire "shills" to bid against legitimate customers in order to raise the bid to benefit the seller. A bidder will place a minimum bid at the beginning of the auction then sit back till the last couple hours before placing another bid. Then keep it going as long as they can draw the real bidder in. Fortunately, I woke up to what was going on and stopped bidding. The seller/shill paid way TOO much for the firearm being auctioned off. This time I got them! I've close my account with Gun Broker, and will NEVER do business with them again! If you're smart, you'll stay away.
Recently lost the ability to sign in on GunBroker. Gb response was I had been hacked. They said I needed to change all email account passwords and send them a photo holding my drivers license to prove my identity. After all this my bank account was verified and I thought I was back in business.
I thought it was strange that a hacker would be able to list items under my username but accepted GunBroker response of a hacker.
Fast forward to the next month bill where there are several items listed by an "onsite help ". GunBroker refuses to explain what listings with "onsite help" means. These listings were created by GunBroker with astronomical fixed prices that will never sell but I'm being billed for each listing created.
The canned responses from GunBroker are so frustrating, and you can't speak to anyone at GunBroker I'm left to share this information on forums. I suggest all legit sellers to check your billing information and do an advanced search of completed items under your username ended auctions. Over the last 2 months GunBroker has billed me $350 for false listings created by "ONSITE HELP "
An impossible task of jumping many hurtles and never able to solve many problems. Their robotic answer and tutorials couldn't help. This was a very horrible and frustrating experience. I waisted so much time. Never again.
This was my very first auction on gunbroker. Before the auction closed I attempted to contact the seller twice for questions and never received a response. There was minimal bids up until the very last hour where there was only one bid made besides mine which was only one cent over mine and drove up the price by ridiculous amount. After I bid $25 over that bid, that bidder never did again. To me this is very plain evidence of someone's shell bidding with an alternate account to drive up the price of the item. I contacted customer service through the help desk because there is no phone number and they kept dancing around all of my questions, did not do a thorough investigation and did not take my concerns with serious intent. I notified them of the suspicions of show bidding and also notify them that I could not get a hold of the seller after I have won the auction, either through email or phone. I informed them that the seller only accepts live checks cashier's checks or money orders which is a very unsecure form of payment. They offer no guarantee only coverage for $500, but with a $100 deductible. This is almost criminal and everyone knows that firearms are well beyond this range in price. The item I was putting on was at 560 all of a sudden it's at 820 because of one bidder my winning bid was 825 and they did not attempt to bid again. Very suspicious behavior with a bidder and a seller. I have yet to pay for the winning auction and I have not received a response from the seller. I will not further pursue any help from GunBroker help desk because I know it will be futile. I will not make any further purchases on GunBroker and I will notify everyone that I can of the website's poor behavior.
Very few good deals. Most posts are dealers with repetitive posts. Over priced with no bids and they keep posting. Be ready to scroll through dozens but don't go too fast you'll miss an occasional deal.
Most people think entirely too much of their guns. They can keep them.
Their site is a huge pain in the a$$ and they don't care. Their kaptcha crap doesn't let you log in but you can go to another site that uses them and get right in. Their prices are stupid high and their are a lot of scammers on there. I had a seller try to get me to pay with a payment source that leaves me no safety and they refused to give me any contact info and it took a week to get a vague generic response from them. It happens quite a bit with sellers. I asked for an action screw measurement for a Mauser stock and was told to "look at the pictures or get the F@#$ off the site" so I looked again at the 3 pics that had no reference to measurement so, I got the F off the site like the seller said to. Found a better stock for a better price on Ebay. Goodbye Gunbroker losers.
I bought my last gun on gunbroker and the "upcharges" were over $70! WTF? I had no idea they would charge buyers, bet they start losing business, I'm done with these cheaters!
Gun brokers is an extremely non-business friendly operation. They are basically a virtual account business tax. No responsibility at all. They require a bank account to sell even if you've already supplied a valid credit card I supplied them with a Chime account and they said that's not valid because they are a virtual company, oh, my God! Gun brokers is a virtual business!
Answer: Asking the wrong guy, will never return to that site, quite pleased with Auction Arms
Answer: One can hope the FEDS would shut them down you and every one else that uses them is in serious peril from the web site owners. They are the most unethical people you will find, In for the quick buck and non existant customer service. PLEASE try other sites to conduct your legitamite business on GB stinks.
Answer: I would absolutely look locally, ask a policeman where they would recommend you shop or google gun dealers in your area and then check the reviews. Under "no" circumstance would I suggest you do anything with GunBroker except delete, block and ignore. Run form them. Integrity does not exist here. My guns were withdrawn within a week or so of listing and now almost a year later they are still trying to access funds from my credit card. These people are not to be trusted with your personal financial information. Unless of course you enjoy drama, problems and working with people of questionable ethics.
Answer: I paid my seller within hours but he did not like the closing bid so he added a to high shipping. He relisted and sold for more $ and GB branded me a non payer.
Answer: Part of their scam
Answer: How many ways can you spell scam
