The customer service is non-existent and insulting. They will close claims on their own initiative and refuse to talk to the customer. It is 100% a sellers world with zero buyer protection. I had a seller try to change the deal and claim I had to pay almost double what the auction amount was for due to his unmentioned "transaction and handling" fees. When I objected he filed a non-paying bidder claim and my account was frozen. I revieced a one sentence response saying the buyer filed a claim that resulted in my account being closed whenever I tried to explain what was going on.

WARNING WARNING!
January 9, 2013

WARNING WARNING! Stay away from this site! Will not back you up when you have been defrauded by criminal activity. They can't help but be aware of criminal activity -- check reviews -- it has been reported by many other besides me. They especially allow C&R holders to engage in the business of selling. 144 plus transactions just isn't collecting. Then the C&R rips you off. STAY AWAY!

Invisible Company
February 20, 2016

GunBroker is an invisible company when it comes to customer service. They obviously do not want to deal with customers (buyers) that have problems with sellers. NO phone number, NO website for customer service. They only respond when you sign up, otherwise they are invisible. Just running a website from somebodies basement in Atlanta.

This company backs bait and switch artists. Advertise a new gun and they send a used one. Then I am the one to blame when I contact my credit card company to do a charge back. They closed my account due to seller complaint. Real great company to do business with. Blame the consumer trying to protect themselves. Buyer beware and stay away...

Worst site ever
November 12, 2016

First and last time I ever use this site. I would rate it a negative 10. I won a bid and after several emails to both seller and gunbroker.com could not even get a response. Use this site at your own peril. Disgusted in michigan

I've had good and bad on gun broker but overall would say the site isn't worth it. Forget about buyer protection - there isn't any. The site is a scam in and of itself. The BS fees to be verified and support is run by behind the scenes alias jockeys who suck at customer service. Their only intention in to keep running and don't give a $#*! about what kind of crap users sell on there. You'll see over and over guns listed as good condition but when it arrives you realize you've got junk on your hands. Then your fun begins trying to either return it or get it working. GunBroker could care less about it - they've made their money. Support will answer easy questions on how to use their site but disappear when it comes to real problems. STAY AWAY from the hicksters and you'll be better off. Otherwise it's like playing the lotto - sometimes you win but others you'll lose and ultimately, you'd wish you would have done business with a legitimate company instead of these gomers.

First they charged me $1 for email registration. Next time I tried to log in it said. Needed to pay $2 to verify my acount info... when I hit the next button It started to ask me credit bureau questions that couldnt have been known unless my ss# was pulled, which I never gave. I didnt answer and backed out quick as hell. 7 days later I am a victim of credit card and ID theft. Wife is pissed because we were trying to buy a house and now my credit and social are flagged.

There is nothing wrong with Gunbroker, just because the idiot got a bad deal and couldn't resolve it, it isn't Gunbrokers fault. Caveat Emptor, buyer beware. People get screwed on Ebay all the time and you don't see them fault Ebay. I think most of the complaints are from anti gun morons. They probably don't even have an account, they're just trying to discourage people from buying guns.

I've been trying to register with Gunbroker for 10 days and it is exceeding difficult and their CS is simply non-responsive. That is, their do not reply to CS support emails. I've decided I can take my business elsewhere.

They ignore evidence of shill bidding. One one gun came and went twice with no bids when I was bidding on another. When I lost that auction, I jumped on the other gun the third time it came up. Suddenly another bidder was running up the price. I bailed out when the price went too high. Amazing, even though there was a winner, that same gun was back up for auction 6 minutes later. When I complained, Gunbroker said they see no evidence.

Be careful with GB as they will always side with sellers in disputes and they tend to allow the sellers to walk over the buyers. I suppose they see the sellers as their revenue stream but without buyers the sellers are worthless. That's is another thing. You can find good prices here but some of these sellers are real A**holes. Beware of the sellers and check their rating before you buy. Overall, Gunbroker.com is not a good company to deal with as internet auction sites go.

They rejected my regitration information, yet there is absolutely no way to reach them. I think they are a scam, and highly reccomend you don't use this site. Just read the reviews, then decide if they are a good company to do business with.

I tried 7 times to buy a gun. I put in 3 different credit cards. Even had one onfile. Registered, did everything I was suppose to. It would NOT accept ANY credit card and it was a BUY NOW purchase. No bid, no win. I tried to call and it says to push and extension so I did. It gave a little box that said did this help you and when you pushed "no" it hung up on you. Worst site I've ever seen. If you don't want online business why do you advertise for it.

A friend of mine once asked me, “Ever heard of GunBroker.com?” I had not. Well, he told me to visit the website. I could believe what I saw at the site. It is an exclusive world of firearms, and hunting and shooting products. As a citizen who is legally allowed to own firearms, this was a shopping paradise for me. Well, it is a gun auction site where we can just search for the perfect item that we need, find it, and place the bid. I keep following the bid to make sure that I win it.

No accountability for their service. If you're used to dealing with eBay, forget this site, rip off artists from one end to the other. I used it and got ripped. If you use it and get taken, I told you so. No human contact, no response from the web site

I had very good success selling reloading items, their fees are certainly reasonable. The only problem I have is the buyers, as a general rule, they are slow to pay for their purchase. I am a done deal type person, when I buy something, I have the money and pay for it immediately. If I sell something, I don't appreciate a buyer dragging their heels to pay.
