Ordered $100 item using my old GunBroker account. I had to update my old address to new address. Invoice said shipping to: correct address. Seller received old address, and I am now trying to retrieve an item 200 miles away from whoever lives at my old apartment.
Do not buy anything from GunBroker. This service is abysmally bad.
I purchased two ww2 pistols they were junk so I returned them the seller made a complaint against me and I was banned by this guys lies. That was 20 years ago and I still cant get on Gunbroker I moved and the guy that purchased my house told me he got banned for having the address of the house I used I live in LOL
Gunbroker sucks. All the reviews that say "I don't know what people are complaining about" is just plain bull s***. Those are most likely the reviews left by the company to cover up their sh**ty reputation. First of all, why is Gunbroker the only website that asks to charge you because you have a free email? That's the biggest red flag right there. Second, if something goes wrong on their website, why aren't they responsible? It's their website, they have the ability to make things right. Why do they leave it up to the seller/buyer to resolve it? Especially when they know there are people with malicious intent on their website and they don't do anything about it. Simple, because they don't give a s*** as long as they get their commission at the end of the day. Last, people don't come on here to hate on website because they have an "anti gun agenda", that's just an idiotic thing to say, they come on here because the website F***ING SUCKS YOU MORONS.
Gun Broker seller: Ed Koporc is to be commended for his immediate response to the buyer, efficient processing of the sale and fast shipping of the firearm. Upon receipt, the weapon was as advertised and in great shape. I have recommended Mr. Ed Koporc to all my gun club members. I rate this seller A+++
As a seller I found it frustrating that emails I would send to buyers would not actually make it to them. Not good considering they were sending me MO's. Who wants to send money to someone you don't know and not even receive the message that payment was received and your item has shipped. Buyers would get pissed at me thinking I was not communicating. I made some money that I am grateful for but WOW not sure it was worth all the hassle of miscommunication. P.S. If you bid on something make sure you have the money to buy it. Not sure why people did this!?
This outfit charges those with a "free" email address a one dollar "activation" fee. They claim it is for verification reasons. BULLS_IT! This is just a way to get your money.
Stay away from these people!
There are plenty of other sites out there that broker weapons.
DO NOT USE THIS ONE!
First of all, they charge you $1 fee just to be a member. In all of my days online shopping multiple types of merchandise I've never had to pay a fee to have an account with a sit. Secondly, because my identity couldn't be verified they wanted a picture of my id with the correct address and utility bill with address. For all that trouble the site was not worth it and I buy everything I need from Legion, which I highly recommend.
Horrible place to buy something. This gunbroker outfit boarders on criminal, period. Dont Buy From GunBroker! Its like flipping a coin, you may or may not get it, No customer service, no phone numbers, no help, just take take take.
Made a purchase from one of their sellers and was promised fast and priority shipping. I got neither. What should have been a 4-5 day deal has turned in to a 13 day ordeal. I have complained directly to Gunbroker and they have not responded and probably won't. These sleezy sellers seem to be able to do as they please with no responsibility to the buyer. Gunbroker did not waste a second draining my charge card but when it comes to assuring customer satisfaction they are like ghosts in the wind. Last time I tried to present a problem to them it was like arguing with Forrest Gump. I have had enough of this site and will just bite the bullet and shop local, then I would have half a chance to get a problem taken care of
Purchased 2 firearms off Gunbroker and both were pleasant experiences. One was a local seller to me, so I picked it up in person and it was exactly as described. The other was sent from Kansas and again was exactly as described, with the original 25 year old box, even the original 25 year old warranty card.
I assume that there are idiots on both sides of the table when buying a gun online, but it seems that is making everyone worse. I have bought a lot of guns through GunBroker, and the transactions used to go smoothly. Lately, the buyers have become bigger and bigger assh*les and made the process harder than it needs to be - making me supply copies of things and information that is not necessary, refunding one type of payment and demanding different types of payments, threatening to turn me in to the ATF if a personal check doesn't clear, etc. It has become not worth it to deal with them and therefore the site. I will pay more to go through a local broker than continue to buy through them.
You should not do business with GunBroker. They are unethical. If you are ripped off by one of their sellers, they will blame you. If you post a bad rating about a seller, they will give you a bad rating and remove the bad rating from the seller. Regardless of the facts. They don't make money from buyers, they make it from sellers. Buyer beware. I have been ripped off twice. Gunbroker could care less. I will not do business with them.
I have been trying to use gunbroker.com and all I get is nonsensical. I used my user name and password and it told me it was wrong. I had to go in and try to change what it told me to. It would not let me do anything. It told me that my zip code was wrong. I don't think so.
Can't prove the connection, but within 24 hours of giving them my CC # to verify my email address I had 7-8 fraudulent charges on my CC from a variety of different merchants; most of them for small amounts and over half of them to segments of APPLE's website. I had not used my CC for any other puroses that day. They have yet to "approve" my use of their services, which I'm now reluctant to do anyway. Maybe CC Co. Can uncover some connection and/or pattern here - remains to be seen. Just suggesting you be vigilant and monitor your CC charges if you give them you #...
Purchased firearm in good faith through gunbroker.com did not check it out quickly enough when test fired exploded top cover from dragunov may be bad receiver or bolt seller jerry raphaelson and gunbroker will not make good on purchase. Both refuse to. Correspond to correct problem. Do Not do business with this web site buyer beware plan to loose your money on defective firearms george petruncio
I have had great success on Gunbroker. I have successfully purchased 5 pistols and 1 rifle, along with numerous ammunition purchases. I've never been scammed or paid more than I wanted to. I think the negative reviews come from folks that fail to understand how the auction system works, do not do their research on the Sellers, or maybe a bit stupid about their bidding and get suckered into bidding too much. Hint: bid only with reputable sellers with many transaction (gunshops work best), ask questions before you bid, don't get suckered into a bidding war. Simply stop and look for another item. GB is place to bring buyers and sellers together. Folks expect too much and don't want to take individual responsibility... something in fashion these days.
I had never heard of SWS Cowboy ammunition in 44 "Magnum". This is maybe a target load. Would not use it for self defense or hunting. Has the recoil os a. 32 long. No xxxx. I paid for it, received it, and now have no recourse. No returns. I had previously had ten successful purchases from honest people on gunbroker. Then one $#*! and absolutely no support from gunbroker. I am done with this substandard, ripoff operation. I am ashamed that they are from my state as me. Located 30 miles away. Good luck talking to them on the phone or in person. For your own good, stay away from these overrated, understaffed ripoffs that only respond to sellers.
I bought over 20k on through gunbroker and sold over 10k in last year. I bid on an optic, and had emergency back surgery. I wasnt able to fullfil transaction. Offer to paypal seller but he declined. Demanded Money order. Not sure how I could drive to bank when i cant even walk. I sent him $35 relist fee.
Gunbroker terminated my account for that 1 infraction. Seller denied that I sent money.
Their feedback system is crap and only benefits high volume sellers.
I ordered 5000 rods of 9mm for 600 bucks. Somehow they ran the info again for another 600 bucks. Which with as much as I shoot I didn't have a problem.
The problem is the next day they called and wanted 250 bucks for refundable shipping insurance. One the is no such as a refundable shipping insurance after checking into it.
2nd no where in there web site mentions this. I told them I wouldn't pay anything till the ammo was delivered and then we we would revisit the insurance.
They have not refunded the money after they said they wouldn't ship without the insurance. I corresponded several times wanting a refund which they have refused to do.
I am talking with the Idaho Attorney General to see what they can do
Don't ever buy from these folks
I ordered something: sent a usps money order, money order cashed, no idems, complained to the site, and the site has closed, and complained about me, wanting my item, or saying it is not fraud to not get something you paid for, or the money back. They are sad at best, I contacted the usps, who is doing a mail fraud against the person, but I want to go after gunbroker, and I dont know what to do. Never never never use them. Gunbroker.com is horrible I would give them a -2 at best!
Answer: Asking the wrong guy, will never return to that site, quite pleased with Auction Arms
Answer: One can hope the FEDS would shut them down you and every one else that uses them is in serious peril from the web site owners. They are the most unethical people you will find, In for the quick buck and non existant customer service. PLEASE try other sites to conduct your legitamite business on GB stinks.
Answer: I would absolutely look locally, ask a policeman where they would recommend you shop or google gun dealers in your area and then check the reviews. Under "no" circumstance would I suggest you do anything with GunBroker except delete, block and ignore. Run form them. Integrity does not exist here. My guns were withdrawn within a week or so of listing and now almost a year later they are still trying to access funds from my credit card. These people are not to be trusted with your personal financial information. Unless of course you enjoy drama, problems and working with people of questionable ethics.
Answer: I paid my seller within hours but he did not like the closing bid so he added a to high shipping. He relisted and sold for more $ and GB branded me a non payer.
Answer: Part of their scam
Answer: How many ways can you spell scam
