I've purchased quite a few items from an oil change to teeth whitening and everything in-between. I likely would have never tried Z pizza on my own and now it is my favorite! I had an experience where the teeth whitening was not delivered as advertised at $149 and Groupon promptly refunded my CC even though I had seen the dentist. I also use Living Social and learned they DO NOT offer refunds nor do they do anything on the buyer's behalf. I'm really shocked to see Groupon is getting slammed here. It's the business that agrees to their terms and if the said business does a lousy job or doesn't honor their voucher that THEY agreed to honor -it's their reputation, not Groupon's.
I love Groupon. Their prices can't be beat, and when I had a problem getting an appointment for a service I ordered, they refunded my money within hours after my customer service request. I have ordered electronics for half price with great quality results.
I can usually find good local deals on entertainment and dining. The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is you have to make sure to read all the fine print. Many of the deals have restrictions on when they can be used.
Takes your money and doesn't ship anything. You don't get your money back from them, you have to talk with your CC company. Don't trust this site, it's well known to be a shady company despite its friendly name. Stay away at all costs.
Groupon sent me an email saying that they extended my groupon from lack of use. I tried to sign in to my account. It asked me to reset my password, so I did, but the new password would not work. I tried to get customer service, the phone lines had been disconnected. I sent them an email saying i had reset my password 3 times and still cannot access my account. Customer service wrote back that I should sign in to receive customer service help, I replied, i can't sign in... we've gone around several times. I'll just stop. If you want to offer customer support, reinstate a service number, I can't access your free chat if i can't sign in, and I think 4 resets should suffice to make my account usable.
Clearly this company has gone the way of not caring.
You can get better deals elsewhere. Many times the $9 shipping isn't worth the deal you can get at another site that offers free shipping or less shipping. Also Not to crazy about this site because many items on here I've found at Burlington or Dd's Discount for less. Perhaps if they offered members free shipping.
A friend of mine told me to download the app "FullCircle". It has lots of great features! One of them is called NearbySuperDeals and it is like Living Social, but I think better. You don't have to purchase anything online! The deals are all local and it says that it currently is free for a business to post a deal so it seems like new companies are signing up everyday.
In the early days, I'd see a good Groupon come through email and I would jump all over it. Hate to say it but I have been burned many many times with phony deals, and deals not honored when you show up at the retailer or location. Sure you can get a refund but that's not the point.
I have ordered dog beds from Groupon and the dogs LOVE THEM! The quality is so-so but for the price I can live with it.
I then ordered a canvas print using a Groupon voucher and tried to follow the instructions on the voucher but they did not jive with the website. Finally got the order placed when the website offered me a deal so I placed another order for a DIFFERENT canvas print. Received 2 emails confirming my orders-two different confirmation numbers and only description of order was size of canvases so unable to know if orders were actually correct or not!
Website was for CanvasonDemand (I think). Order received was from BestCanvas. Was charged an "international transaction fee" for each canvas as the actual company is overseas! No mention of this in fine print. The order was incorrect. I received 2 prints of the same picture, was charged 2 shipping fees but only charged for one canvas( but shipping fee was more than canvas price!) Not happy.
PS quality so-so on these also
I enjoy finding a good deal with Groupon. I wish they would offer more deals on concerts though. They have some good ones for bigger city's near me too but not much closer to me. If you're willing to go to the bigger city's they offer more. It depends on what you want if it's worthwhile.
Don't do this tour, it is a waste of time and money. Advertised as Italian food and all it included was 2 slices of pizza, a quarter of a sub sandwich and a small canolli. Tour guides were friendly, but that did not make up for the deceitful advertising. There is no pasta as shown in the group on advertising picture. Extremely disappointed.
I have never had a bad experience with Groupon. I have bought spa services and restaurant certificates and, on occasion, some "Groupon Goods."
If you want to have a good experience, you must do your homework. Go to Google maps and check out the establishments you're interested through Streetview. If the exterior looks shabby and crummy, you probably don't want to go there (especially for a spa). Is the establishment in a good neighbourhood? Check out their website but make sure that they''re not using stock photos. Check the menu and, above all, see if there are reviews online. If you do some research, you will love Groupon, too.
I have often given certificates as gifts and they're always a hit!
Website failure, failure of customer service to respond to email/phone contact, failed to deliver. Disappointed all round. Don't know how it could have been worse really. Shameful - especially when you compare the reality to their customer service promises.
A Tanning salon in Goodyear AZ is offering a deal on Groupon, the problem is they went out of business weeks ago. I called Groupon to report this and they sent me an e-mail with the information they needed to investigate. I sent them the contact information for the property management company. That was 3 days ago and the offer is still on Groupon. Buyer Beware! Check out any business before buying a Groupon deal because they are slow to react to customer feedback
I purchased groupon for 4 hrs cleaning services. The deadline to use this coupon is in february 2016. At 10:30 pm in Nov. 2015 the coupon was redeemed automatically without my knowledge. I realized this in the beginning of Dec 2015 when I tried to use the service. Then I tried calling Groupon, Used their call back program that never called me back. I even wasted nearly an hour listening to silly messages. I used their chat program. That told me to send messages for someone to answer my queries within 24 hours. This was about a week ago. Two days ago I got an email asking me to wait just a bit longer for my answer and that a "real person" will contact me soon. I am still waiting.
I used Groupon before and their service went seriously downhill now. I will not use Groupon in the future and waste my money.
As a Merchant customer I have been trying to change something in my campaign for 2 month. Im still waiting for this person

To answer my emails and calls but not luck so far, when I call them they tell me that they are going to call me back but that never happen so far!
The worst!
Do not bother with this site. They posted a dress for $50, which I purchased. I have been waiting for it to arrive for an occasion I needed it for ( and have since not looked for anything). I finally contacted them for status, and found out that they had cancelled my order because they had posted an incorrect price. And they won't honor it. WHAT? No one contacted me, I have proof of the price... Don't bother with this place!
Hi, Jill,
Thank you for reaching out to me via SiteJabber. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of the site pricing error. I am also very sorry you did not receive our email notification we sent out within 24 hours of the error advising of the order cancellation. Please search your email for a subject line "An important update about your Ideel Order" or any communication sent from "support@ideel.com"
I do see the previous representative you spoke with explained that our terms and conditions do reserve the right to cancel orders when items are listed at incorrect prices. I apologize for any confusion relating to this and understand your frustration.
Please note, there was a courtesy credit placed on your account when the order was canceled as our small apology this incident occurred. There are no restrictions or minimum order requirements to redeem the credit.
Please do not hesitate to send me a message if there is anything else I may be of assistance with.
Best,
Jason Faria

Groups used to be a great way to purchase tickets at a deal. Now everything about it sucks. Customer service is a bunch of Hindis who don't want to help you and the care is in the toilet. And good luck on trying to update anything in your account. I've used this site for years and it WAS a great site. But it's been a couple of years since I've used it and will never use it again. I tried 3 different cards to make a purchase and got the same message everytime, invalid number. Nothing invalid about my cards.
$#*!ty website stay away special if you purchase something. They won't return your money even those you didn't get any services. If you want to wast your money and time go buy from them. They all fake deals
Groupon used to be great, but not so much anymore. Now you have to worry about being able to reach the seller or if it's even a legit location. Yes, it happened to me. I ordered a Groupon and was unable to reach the seller so I drove to the location, but I wasn't able to find that seller, what I did find was a bank. Definitely not what I want it. To make the situation even worse, Groupon makes it very difficult to refund your money. Also, the prices are not that much cheaper anymore. For example, Groupon is selling air tax for $118 but you can get them for $80. I found a lot of overpriced items on Groupon, so I came to the conclusion, just because it's on Groupon. You are not necessarily getting a great deal. Actually, just the opposite. So I came to the conclusion that Groupon does not offer great customer service, and does not screen the sellers like they should. I did remove my Groupon app and will not use them again.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
