Customer service is brain dead. I purchased 2 groupons and redeemed the. The items arrived damaged and that sites customer service blew me off. Now groupon customer service can grasp the info I have given them numerous times. I'm done!
I bought a Voucher from Groupon, Had a horrible experience with the seller, who refused to honor the voucher. I was out the voucher money plus a deposit I had paid the seller for the service. I tried to leave a rating on the site and it was not possible as the seller hadn't redeemed my voucher.
Only when the Merchant themselves redeem the voucher can you leave a rating. Therefore only the customers that have received good service leave ratings. These ratings CAN'T be trusted.
P. S - Groupon replied to me completely ignoring their misleading rating system which is tricking customers by avoiding bad reviews and solely focusing on my bad experience with the merchant.
Tried using your useless chat feature with Gourav b and it was super frustrating. I'm using my phone to chat with support about a deal that I put in my cart to get. I had signed up for the groupon select and was under the impression that I would get an added discount at checkout. I did not so I wanted to see what the restrictions were and why I wasn't getting the discount. Your chat team is useless. I could not get links as he kept requesting or the chat would close out. I told him the exact deal name and he would not assist. Apparently, unless they get a link from me, they are unable to help me. I am very frustrated and have no answers.
I bought a Dominos coupon from Groupon. I followed the directions explicitly to redeem the coupon, but the directions were not complete. The links did not exist. It took me over a half hour to actually figure out how to redeem the coupon and by that time Dominos had already deleted my order and signed me out. I started over 3 times before i was able to place my order. I will never use Groupon again. It is designed to fail.
I purchased what was advertised as a groupon for an "fruit bouquet" turns out that its really only fruit baskets. I immediately emailed groupon to get a refund. I never heard back and now the groupon credits are expired. I chatted with a cs rep and he couldn't do anything because their policy is to not refiund any expired credits. Even after I explained that if they would have responded in a timely manner, this wouldn't be an issue, he still responded that he couldn't do anything for me. So now I'm stuck with a false ad for something I didn't want and can only use half credit fir what I aid for it to begin with. I'm just going to use living social from now on.
We had a laser treatment in Sydney at Visage beauty clinic. We flew down for the appt, the lady was running a bit late which had us concerned as we had a return flight that day. Overall she did a wonderful job and I am really happy with the service, Sharon is a wonderful business woman and very experienced with the erbium laser.
Groupon is in the business of getting deals on decent products from decent companies right. That is no longer true. For example look at reviews for printerpix.com on Groupon. There reviews look fine as Groupon has obviously filtered them to make a buck. When you look at the reviews on an unfiltered site such as sitejabber there rating is 1 star. Hmmmmmm why do you think that is? Shame on you Groupon. It won't be long before you make the news and get some pinochios for your lying reviews. This is just one example of the current level of greed and deceit at Groupon.
I put myself on a waiting list for a dress and they emailed me to tell me that they have it back in stock. I placed the order right away along with some other items. Well everything shipped but the dress. I was planning to wear this dress for New Years Eve and I placed the order on Dec 6th.
A week later I contacted them they said that they were waiting for the vendor to ship them the dress. Why would you sell a dress that you don't have in stock? And why would you email me to tell me that you do have it in stock.
I checked again 2 weeks later and they told me that they aren't shipping the dress because it didn't pass quality inspection. They were apologetic and gave me a $25 credit.
The $10 shipping is pretty steep. I don't know why they ship it to the post office and then have them deliver it to me.
I probably would use them again but only if I see something I really like.
I've had nothing but good experiences with Groupon. Read the fine print and research the company the Groupon is for, and you shouldn't have any problems.
Also, the companies have to agree to sponsor the Groupon. They get tons of advertising through Groupon, and customers who use Groupons and are satisfied will usually return for full-price and recommend it to others. So, don't feel too bad for them. They agreed to it.
I had ordered a car driving lesson coaching classes. I had tried the number of the merchant a number of times but they didnt lift the phone. Then I contacted customer service through email and they responded after 3 days of sending email. They told that the merchant will call back to me in 3 days and I told them that I didn't receive a call in 3 days via email and I haven't heard any response from them. I then tried calling customer service and the estimated wait time on a Sunday was 3 hrs. So I chose the option of calling me back. I waited for their call but I didn't receive a call. I then tried calling on a week day and still the estimated time they tell is 3 hrs and now there is no option of call back too. I am really frustrated with Groupon :( I will never buy anything on their site AGAIN... A really bad experience as I have my drive test in 2 days and I still havent heard from them.
Have used Groupon a few time and only 1 time was ok the last was for The Vinyard at Florance Hawaii night and wow what a rip off I suggest staying away from both of these companies. Bout the tickets stated night of fun pig roast wine tasting etc. said good for admission well yes good to just walk in the door. Everything else cost no where did it metion this drove over 2 hours rt and was so mad. But Groupon says it said admission yes it did but also said wine tasting, pig roast etc...
I wish there was zero stars button. I purchased a travel voucher for $2,000 for Turks and Caicos and due to a family emergency was unable to book travel within the travel time. Ideeli would not give me credit to be used towards travel at a later date. I understood I would not receive the promotion rate but I wasn't even requesting that. I LOST $2,000 and all they said they would give me was a $25 credit voucher. That was a slap in the face. I will never do business with this company. If anyone has had a similar situation happen with them, I am interested in talking to you about a class action lawsuit. My email is *******@yahoo.com.
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your feedback here on SiteJabber. I'm sorry that you weren't able to receive a credit for your travel voucher. At the time you purchased the voucher you purchased it through our travel partner, which you was stated at checkout and on your voucher. You should have been given contact information for this company even though we no longer sell travel deals on our site.
The reason that we were unable to give you the credit you paid for this travel voucher is due to the fact that you paid our shipping partner for this trip and not ideeli. If you'd like the contact information for our formal travel partner I will be happy to provide it to you. Please send me a private message with your order information and the date you purchased the voucher and any other pertinent information. I will then send you the contact information for our former travel partner and you can work with them to see if they are able to help you with this matter. I look forward to hearing from you.

I've had only great experiences with the Groupon's I've purchased and used.
In fact, last week my husband and I purchased a $279 Groupon for a two night stay for four in Hotel Providence in Rhode Island. Unfortunately our friends were not able to join us on the intended weekend so we requested a refund from Groupon. They didn't necessarily have to give us one, we hadn't had a bad experience and we could have possibly used it another weekend, another time, but within ONE HOUR they had refunded our money.
Absolutely amazing.
The quality of their merchandise is deplorable. Stay away from the unknown brands, they look nice on screen but you will get k-mart quality and pay more. Even after I realized this, I stuck to better known brands and received some damaged/defective merchandise. At first I thought they were flukes so I continued to order (lured by their low prices) and it became a running joke:
-A sweater with one sleeve longer than the other
-A dress with a hem that completely unraveled
-A dress that was about three sizes too large (wrong tag?)
-A top with one armhole longer than the other and twisted/lopsided
-A mirror very unevenly painted and broken
CS hassled me every time for my shipping refund. Had to email pictures and wait days for reply and return approval. Received "courtesy credit" of $25 each time which was just bait for me to order more defective merchandise. NEVER SHOPPING THERE AGAIN
Hi Lia,
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on SiteJabber. We apologize for your defective items & would be glad to help you in any way possible. We truly sorry for any inconvenience or delay you may have experienced with our support team as well. I'd be happy to assist you directly, can you please private message me your user id and order number(s) so I can look into your issue immediately? Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have had to return every item I have purchased to be used as a gift. Where they get you is, there's only a 14 day period where Groupon holds any responsibility to the product so if the occasion is a few months away and you purchase an item to be used as a gift, too bad for you if it doesn't work outside of those 14 days. They wipe their hands clean of the situation.
Be very cautious of being from Groupon unless it a food iem voucher.
I have in the past been quite happy with small purchases from this site then thought i would take the chance and purchase a sofa. We recieved 2 sofas a 3 and a 2 and the 2 was badly damaged, i really liked the sofa so asked for a replacement which they cannot do! So sofa gets picked up in few days then i have to wait for money to be refunded and i am left without a sofa! Truely learned my lesson and have had a trip to scs will never buy large goods again, you get what you pay for i suppose but customer services aren't great!
When purchasing 2 groupons for ftd.ca supposed to be worth $40 US each and bought at only $20 each it seemed like a great deal for spoiling my Mom and Mothers In Law for Mother's Day on a tight family budget. Then when wrung in to make purchase of 35$ boquet I am told I owe 75$ and my groupon is worth 10$ towards a 25$ service fee and nit the purchased $40 US.
Groupon tells me the fine print says the fine print of service fees start at $14.99 and they are not liable... however why is my groupon supposed to be worth $40US and only marking in at $10 Canadian?
Overall I highly recommend avoiding Groupon and ftd!
I have purchased several deals in the past, however I am having a horrible experience getting a refund from a vacation deal I purchased! Everything showed the dates were available and once I purchased it and contacted Vacation Express I found out the hotel was not available. I contacted customer service within 45 minutes of the purchase and 1 week later I still have not received my refund! I have emailed and called customer service daily trying to get this resolved! NOTHING has happened!
Bought an engagement ring, proposed 2 months later, fiancé took to jeweler only to find out that it was missing a diamond and that the 1.5 carat center stone was clairity enhanced. The description did not (and still does not!) state that the diamond is fractured filled. Groupon would do nothing since outside the 30 return policy. Great way to start a life with someone. Thanks Groupon.
I admit I never used it for myself, but I bought two Groupon, one getaways weekend for my parents' anniversary and a spa voucher for my sister's birthday. After reading some reviews about it, I paid lot of attention to the terms and conditions of the service I bought, and they didn't have any problem. It's a very easy way to buy a gift, I hate walking around in shopping malls looking for ideas. With a voucher people can decide to use it whenever they want, and it's an incentive to do something that they wouldn't do otherwise, such as a weekend or a spa treatment..
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
Hi Daisy,
Thanks for sharing your feedback here, and I'm truly sorry about the dress you ordered. For clarification, all of our items are shipped directly from the vendor before we ship it to you. Part of the reason we can offer such competitive prices is because we keep very little inventory, and work directly with manufacturers to fulfill each order.
With regard to our shipping fee, our $10 fee is an All-Day Shipping charge, meaning you can add to the same order until midnight PT without incurring an extra fee. We also use a combination of UPS and USPS services so that your order can now be delivered 6 days a week, including Saturdays.
I hope this helps to clarify, and please don't hesitate to send any additional feedback to support@ideeli.com.
