Stole my tax return

Worst company ever they stole my federal tax return and say they have no record of it. Do not trust green dot bank. And I would suggest going to netspend bank instead.

Yes I dealt with. These people for mons. Now and told me if I provided them with documents they asked for they would provide me with a full refund they close my account because I wasn't using it and there were 784 in my account when they closed it. So I provided them with all they asked for but it wasn't enough they wanted me to run to the post office and get proof of address there they wanted me to go get a new license with the current address because I've been living there for 2 years where they were sending the cards my Green Dot cards too and I did all day asked and they still denied me my Green Dot refund from the account takeover these people are crooks they wasted my time my gas my efforts I am sick to my stomach having to deal with these people these people the Green Dot and go bank is also another one do not deal with them somebody actually stole two grand out of my account eagle Bank that's a whole nother story

This is the worst prepaid debit card company in the country! GREEN DOT allowed my card funds to be fraudulently depleted! 15 - $75.00 transactions in less than 5 minutes! And then refused to help or return ANY of the money! No investigation whatsoever! COMPLETE RIPOFF COMPANY! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER ENDURED! F*** THIS COMPANY AND WALMART!

Must have internet access

If you are using it to refill the service on your phone not only can you not add it because of the internet, even if you can find a place with internet your still screwed cuz they send a link to your phone. And talkiing to a real person? HAHAHAHAHAHH nope. Seven times. Each time i chose another option. I chose them all. I even prenteded i didnt know what my number by typing random stuff in there so theyd come on and help. Again... NOPE! What would happen if a real problem arose? Netspend may be like 50 cents more but its worth it

This is the worst credit card company I've ever dealt with in my life! I recently got a green dot platinum secured credit card and upon receiving the card I got on line to add my security deposit and register the card. Well I was able to add my security deposit no problem. But when I went to register the card. I could not. Kept getting your information does not match our records and than due to my repeated attempts to enter my information somehow my account/card was blocked. Next I called the number on the back of the card only to get a automated response telling me that my card number and social security number didn't match and to go visit the website for more info. Next I go online only to find the live text format doesn't work and every customer service phone number I called I could not reach a live person for help. So now I have a useless credit card that I can't activate or register and green dot credit card company has my hard earned money and no way for me to get help to fix the problem or get my money back! What a nightmare! Had I known from the beginning that green dot credit card company didn't have live customer service representatives or a way to help the customers when they were having problems I would have never dealt with this horrible company! From my own experience with this company I would advise you to Run away like ten rabies infected pit bull dog's were chasing you!

Liars, Fraud, Scam

These $#*!s locked up my green dot card account claiming fraud after I tried to order a replacement card through the chat feature on the green dot app… I start a process of trying to get access to my money through e mail, verify documents. I would take a picture of the front and back of my license and send it back to them, all they do is kick it back to me telling me to send another picture … that stupid $#*! started like 3 weeks ago … called multiple times … they just talk you around in circles after 10 days they close the case with no verification, even though they have 2 dozen pictures of my DL … I finally get another"corporate resolution"douch bag… same game and lies. Send pictures…. 2 business days … lie after lie … $#*! them! I went to the app I went to settings, I chose "close account" I had 3 options on how to receive my 800 dollars still in the account. Choose the wal mart pay out, once selected a barcode is generated, take a screenshot of that immediately, save to photos. Run your $#*! to the nearest Walmart and pull up the screenshot, they will scan it at the customer service/financial/returns desk, cost me like 4 dollars to do it this way, but I got my money, deleted the account and the app $#*! these $#*!, three weeks bro, $#*!ing late fees out the $#*!. Don't ever do any business with these pieces of $#*!, I hope this helps someone

We lost our house and almost everything we owned in a fire. Many people since have given us assistance, including various gift cards. Every gift card we have received has been easy to use. With one glaring, horrific exception. We received 5 Green Dot Visa Debit cards supposedly worth $50 each. So far we have spent roughly 4 hours trying to activate the cards and talking to customer service reps (4 calls so far, the most recent one was a hang up after being on hold for 10 minutes). We managed to activate one of the 5 cards, but in order to do so we had to apply for a Green Dot debit card, giving this horrible company our personal information. Someone told us that the other 4 cards were also activated. We tried to use all 5 cards for a major purchase. Only the one card we activated through the Debit card application process was activated, and it was only worth $42.05. We cannot figure out how to activate the other 4 cards and Green Dot customer support has been beyond worthless. At this point I am 99% convinced that Green Dot is nothing but a scam designed to steal consumer money.

Do not use dot
February 14, 2022

I had my taxes put on a geendot card and the money machine confiscated the card. I called green dot and they canceled my card and told me a new one will be commimg in the mail. I told them no I need access to the money and they hung up on me. I spend the whole day calling green dot to do anything all the way to corporate. Nobody speaks English and after a minute they just hang up. NEVER TRUST GREENDOT! It's been 15 days. No card, no money. Just hang ups.

Don't use green that I bought a green dot card to use to pay my bill on a certain day I tried they told me I need to wait to two days before I can spend $20 please do not buy their cards you will be sucking into waiting for a couple of days to use your money I never heard of nothing like this in my life please don't use greendot.com please don't use green dot money please I'm telling you you're gonna wait to use your money And they would not change it back I actually had to wait two days do use $20 stay away from green dot prepaid card I am very hurt over this

Garbage

Honestly. I've never had any issue with GreenDot until I've had to talk/interact with them. I been a customer for almost 2 years and had NO issue. But recently, I was paid by my Employer and within Minutes of being paid, they flagged my account and said that my employer paying me was "Unusual activity"...
So I call them right away and they don't give me ANY explanation, but tell me I need to provide proof that its ME. So I comply and do so, and they tell me "OK, we received the documents, give us up to 2 business days to review these documents"... and I'm going on day 7! I now have LATE FEES and still no access to my account, and let me remind you that they don't this within MINUTES of me being paid by my employer, my employer thats been paying me for YEARS! I'm definitely fighting this issue and will be switching banks. Thank God I have the recordings and screenshots,
So make sure you save ALL conversations and record when you talk to this company yall.

Money scam fraud

I bought a card for the first time about a month ago. I took it home to activate it n before I could use it someone had already spent the fifty dollars I had put on it. I called to report it n they keep giving me the run around. DONT BUY THESE CARDS PLEASE. I HAVEN'T GOT MY MONEY YET.

I like the greendot card slot I use it for my every day bills and shopping and have never had a problem with the use of itand I like the fact that I can send money to other people that use the card without any extra charge to me and it's instantly transfer to the other party...

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I bought the card because the packaging says you can make international transactions for a small fee. After receiving my permanent card I tried to make an international payment and it was denied. They told me they don't allow that regardless of what the package says. It also states that the monthly fee will not be taken out until after the first use. However they took mine out immediately even though I had never used the card. I told them that the packaging is false advertisement and grounds for a law suit. I demanded the fee they took out be put back in. It took a lot of arguing and threatening to sue before they agreed to wave the monthly fee. I will still have to pay the ATM fee to get my money out though. Please do not use this company for anything. You can't even call them. If you try it says "our customer service is unavailable" no matter when you call. I had to use the chat service but even that is difficult. They end the chat before ever answering you 90% of the time!
