Very Easy. What I like is that you can se the total price if you add or remove something. Is ver easy to use.
I submitted evidence of fraud of Gotogate to VISA and got full refund.
The refund was done after 3 months without any commission.
All procedures gone smoothly. Being a resident in Vietnam this is perfect for me. Thank You.
My wife and I had booked an American Airlines itinerary from Indianapolis to Providence, RI, via Booking.com, a company with whom I'd had generally satisfactory experiences in the past. My wife woke up too sick to travel, so I called American to rebook on the same flights, the following day. This was a little after 5:00 am.
The customer service rep at American told me there were plenty of seats available on those flights and that the price was actually more than $60 cheaper on Tuesday. She told me American would issue credits for future flights for the difference in price. She also said American would charge me $50 per seat ($100) to make the schedule change because I had booked the flights through a third party agent. She suggested I make the change through Booking.com, so I would not have to pay the rebooking fee.
So I called Booking's customer service line instead. I found myself at an Indian call center. I explained the situation, and passed along the advice I had gotten from the American Airlines agent. After two lengthy holds, the agent returned and said he was transferring me to the "Rebooking Department."
Another agent -- after two even longer holds -- came back to the phone and told me that there were seats available, but that the airline would charge "some fees for rebooking," in the amount of $567.
I got quite irate with the agent and hung up. I called American Airlines back and did the rebooking with them.
The charge that the agent attempted to impose on me was completely bogus. I verified this with American. I made it clear I regarded the attempt as fraudulent and advised Booking.com to investigate the business practices of its customer service organization, or at least this particular call center. I got a couple of emails from Booking.com, but ultimately they indicated the problem was with their partner, and there was nothing further they could do.
Their partner is GoToGate.
If I could give them a 0 I would! They are by far the worse company I've ever dealt with! I paid for all the extras, flexible ticket, insurance, etc. But nothing applied when I was forced to change my return flight home due to a family death. But let me start from the initial booking. I chose an emergency row seat for my husband there and back. A day before the flight leaving Chicago to Dubai, we received an email saying our seats were not available and we were refunded $71! With no reason as to why. I then called to fix this issue, they made me pay an additional $309 for seats saying it's the airline fault! That's the first issue. The second issue, my husband needs to come home a day early due to a sudden death, I called to change the flight to one day earlier. One would think after paying for all these extras, the change would be an easy fix, but no, I again had to pay $300 for rebooking. Third issue, remember those seats I paid for in the extra legroom row due to his arthritis, well, I asked the agent 10 times if our seat was in that row, he said yes. No exasperation, I asked 10 times to be clear and also because of his heavy accent. Now here we are upon check in and guess what, the seat is NOT in the exit row! Once again, mislead, lied to, and stiffed! Called to speak directly with a manager, put on hold and someone hangs up on me. Call back and finally talk to a manager and he blames it all on the airline. But yet, you're taking money from me! You're taking real money for what appears to be tentative and unconfirmed information with the airline! The supervisor reads the notes and confirms that the agent messed up. His way to fix the issue is to charge me only an additional $176 for the extra legroom row. Now here we are at an additional $785 in addition to the $1500 flight! $2285. I could have paid less with the airline. They are a scam and I Warn You DO NOT USE this COMPANY!
The absolute worst third-party booking site, ever. Earlier this year, I was notified directly by the airlines that my flight had been cancelled. I had to contact GoToGate myself to clarify/enquire about this. By the time GoToGate offered to process a re-booking for me, there were no other flights available. I ended up having to do the rebooking on my own, paying more than double the initial price of what it would cost had GoToGate promptly assisted me with my rebooking. It's been months to date, and I am still waiting for GoToGate to process the refund for my flight cancellation. Get this, I still have to pay administration/transaction fees for their inefficient, incompetent services. Here's the best part: I was informed that the refund will be credited back to my initial mode of payment. However, the debit card I used for the booking back then has been discontinued. Thus, I felt it necessary to provide GoToGate with my bank account details instead, for them to process my refund as soon as possible. After conversing with GoToGate's customer service staff over email for weeks, they finally addressed the issue and directed me to their hotline service. I just got off a 30min phone call with their customer service staff who repeatedly told me that there's nothing that can be done. Once my refund is ready to be processed, they will have to knowingly credit it to my previous mode of payment (which no longer exists) only for it to bounce back before they contact me once again for my bank account details. Truly a mind-blowing experience. I won't be surprised if my refund takes more than a year to be processed heck I won't be surprised if this turns out to be a huge dragged-out scam and I never see my money again. Save yourself the trouble, stay away from GoToGate.
1. On 26 June 2022 I bought 6 Wizz Air tickets for me and my son:
A. From Tel-Aviv to Venice on 16 September 2022 (HB8Z2S)
B. From Bologna to Budapest on 24 September 2022 (Z8WVQR)
C. From Budapest to Tel-Aviv on 24 September (DD1TWP)
D. There was not direct return flight
2. On 29 August 2022, Wizz Air canceled the flight from Bologna to Budapest.
3. There wasn't another flight from Bologna to Budapest and I wrote Wizz Air that we cannot use the continuation flight from Budapest to Tel-Aviv.
4. I bought 2 Wizz Air tickets from Rome to Tel-Aviv (JMCM7B), and 2 train tickets from Bologna to Rome.
5. The tickets from Rome to Tel-Aviv were bought directly at Wizz Air website. The other tickets were bought at the website of Gotogate.
6. Gotogate refused to give a refund and forwarded us to Wizz Air.
7. We haven't received any refund/compensation for the 4 tickets (1b & 1c).
8. It is a pity that I must spend so much time and energy on this issue.
They are just so disrespectful, the dismiss you in the most humiliating manner. They want your money and that's it.
A message to GOTO GATE, and i wish to have a reply, because nobody responding to my emails as well as customers service attendants are not responding to the calls.
I'm kindly requesting to update me about my refund for the Gotogate booking reference No: L8KFZD.
(air Arabia booking reference is *******). (Royal Jordanian booking reference is J824YE).
For air Arabia booking I'm the one contacted the airline and i did all refund process while there was no any interfering from Gotogate side, because your reply to me when I requested a refund was, a low cost airline you have to manage your refund, however; it's already done by myself and the air Arabia already refund the money a month ago to your account, so I'm really surprise as long as you didn't do anything you didn't do any support or help from your side, why you delay that part of refund until now!
Regarding Royal Jordanian booking also money refunded from airline on 15 July and your customer service attendant confirmed me before that as long as there will be some deductions from the tickets value, so within two weeks the money will be credited to my account, which's not happened till now!
It's 5 tickets refund not only one ticket and supposed to have some priority even if there are some delays.
I'm counting on you to push to close this matter and process the payout ASAP.
Really wish I had read this page before even attempting to buy flights through them. Would give negative stars if I could. I tried buying flights using affirm for the purchase to pay them off later. I've never had issue with using affirm before. Gotogate did not process the loan until after the date of the flight even though I had called multiple times - kept saying check back later, so naturally I just went to a different site and bought flights directly. I tried to just have them cancel and return funds to affirm bc the flights werent booked before even leaving but kept being told they never received funds, call affirm. Affirm was more helpful but said they did indeed sent the funds and were waiting for gotogate to process the order. (cue being sent back and forth over the phone) Id decided to leave it alone as we were going away and deal with it when I got back. Second day we are away and I get an email saying gotogate has processed my order. When I get back and begin to play phone tag yet again, Affirm says to call gotogate and have them refund their money since we never used the tickets. Gotogate is unable to show any type of proof they never received the money yet affirm has legit proof that the loan went through because money for the tickets were given to gotogate. Gotogate does not want the proof from affirm, all they keep saying is they don't have the money for the tickets so the order was cancelled and money refunded, another person told me there was an authorization issue and payment failed. Basically got 10 different stories and reasons that they "don't have the money." But have proof from affirm that the money was sent and processed by gotogate, yet they don't want to see it nor can they provide any evidence through email showing they never received the money!
Thankfully, affirm is working with me to dispute it and hopefully get their money back so I don't have to pay the $340 for tickets we never used. I WILL NEVER USE THEM EVER AGAIN
FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD
Thank you, you were the only site that honored the advertised rate for the flight we just booked. You will be our go to from now on!
The worst booking site no one should ever use is
I am never booking again with them
The worst customer service
I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Gotogate. My recent experience with them was nothing short of a nightmare.
I purchased a ticket through Gotogate, and what followed was a series of miscommunications and errors on their part that left me utterly frustrated. The misinformation they provided about my departure led me to miss my flight. Instead of taking responsibility and assisting me in finding a solution, their agent shifted the blame onto the airline, claiming technical errors on their end.
The agent's response shocked me further when they insisted that I send a compensation request to the airline and handle the situation myself. On top of that, they suggested that I purchase a new ticket on my own. I reluctantly bought a new ticket for $300 and filed a request with the airline, only to receive a written response from the airline stating that the mistake was on Gotogate's end. They pointed out that the agent had given me incorrect information, absolving themselves of any responsibility.
The stress and inconvenience caused by this ordeal were unparalleled. Finding myself stranded at the airport in a city as expensive as Vancouver, without a ticket or accommodation, was a nightmare I hadn't experienced in years. Astonishingly, I was not alone in this predicament; there were at least seven others in a similar situation.
What adds to my frustration is the lack of a timely response from Gotogate. Despite the seriousness of the situation and the numerous attempts to contact them, I am still awaiting a reply.
This is my personal, subjective opinion, but I cannot emphasize enough: I strongly advise against using Gotogate's services. They are not accountable for their employees' mistakes, resort to falsehoods, and shift responsibility onto others. My experience serves as a cautionary tale, and I hope others can learn from it. Avoid Gotogate and choose a more reliable and responsible travel agency for your peace of mind.
They took the money 2 times from my account and they did cancel my booking flight.
Don't trust them.
Booked tickets AND PAID July 23 only to be told today that extra £300 ticket REVALIDATION FEE for our tickets to be released? No clear explanation as to why and no manager callback as requested
The worst experience I had ever with them. They steal more than 500 dollars from me. They manipulated the last name of me in the ticket..
GARBAGE company, Liars and Scammers! I hope Police will investigate them! I lost 1000$ because of their lies and they almost ruined my holiday!
Answer: Yes they are scammers operating from unknown destination No phone number and no e-mail correspondence Criminals that stole my $1800 with no apology
Answer: Dont bother mate they have stolen your money like over 2000 other people goto your bank and airline and start to gather evidence.
Answer: Passengers' money is too little, who cares. Even if you were cheated, as an individual passengers, you won't shake the whole tree. They want your money, nothing else, like a pirate or thief.
Answer: They grabbed the credit card from passengers, of course, they will take as much money as possible from your bank account. The break the policy from the US department of transportation, but they don't care, they want your money. The best thing is not to purchase ticket from their website. Stay away! https://www.going.com/guides/refund-for-fare-drop
