Hi, would have given zero if I could have. Used Golf Now for years, last booking, a $105 membership charge hit my card. I had no idea what it was, waited too long to call and since it was an accident, the actual reason I chose, they said sorry, that's our T&C and you agreed to that. Give the person who designed that sly little trick a raise or bonus as I am sure they have added much erroneous revenue to your P&L. Good job on deceptive, shady, and thieving practices. I will never use Golf Now again.
Spending the time to book a round of golf and then find its not available is frustrating. That's the least of their issues. Phantom charges and horrible cancellation policies. Even as a Pass+ customers, it sucks. Unfortunately, they bought their top competition (TeeOff) so we are stuck. Absolute $#*!.
I wrote a review critical of the menu choices available on a golfnow "package" deal, and Golfnow would not publish it, saying it was "inappropriate". Our foursome all felt that we were ripped off. I won't use Golfnow again. Another reason is inability to change reservations. I recently booked directly with a course in Palm Desert on what turned out to be a very windy day. The course gladly re-booked our foursome for the same time the next day. Try that with Golfnow!
I have booked several, not many, times through this website. So far so good. However, I booked a time for me and my pals today that offered what appeared to be a decent deal. Not really though. The golf course, The Highlands of Elgin (IL), charged $6 more than the stated tee time rate?! They would not do anything and golfnow.com certainly didn't do anything? Now I owe my buddies a few extra bucks each and not the course or golfnow.com can or will do anything about it! First rate losers!
You used to be able to call and speak with a helpful rep. Now everything is web based, and if you have problem- tough. You will not get a refund, your money is lost.
I find it so strange that you spend money on a Tee time- say at 12:00. Something happens so the course can't provide you with that Tee time. Now you have already paid for a round of golf, BUT the course will not move that time up to an open slot. They want you to pay again.
There is a reason golf has been slowly dying. GolfNow is adding to the problem.
I won't use them again, and takes away my desire to get out on the course.
I booked a tee time and played using the EARN20 promo code on Sep 3. The fine print states:
"Once valid purchase is made and Offer is redeemed, the purchaser will receive a code for $20 in "Hot Deals Cash" (see below) no later than September 5,2018."
It is now September 7,2018 and I have not yet received the $20 promo code.
My confirmation was #*******.
When can I expect to see the $20 code?

We were offered and accepted a Golfnow Tee Time at a course for 7:00 am with breakfast included.
When we arrived to golf, without having eaten breakfast because of the ad, the course just laughed at us and said they didnt even have a hot grill for food. And they wouldnt honor any kind of special for snacks and drinks.
I am disappointed that Golfnow would post this falsely to attract a sale. Good luck Golfnow on getting anymore fees from me to golf. I live and preach honesty to be the best person I can in life. Its too bad that that you can operate a business this way!

Southern Arizona Golfer
As a long term member of GolfNow and Golfpass, I tried to use my gift cards in the last reservation I made. They were showing the credit of $150 in my account but instead they still charged my CC for this transition. I contacted them and they said in order to use the gift cards, I need to enter the 19 digits plus the Pin# every time. This is so cumbersome when I try to make reservation via my smart phone. Actually it is ridicules. I will advise my kids to stay away from buying gift cards from them.
If everything goes as planned GolfNow is 5 stars. If it rains bit the course is open you will get no refund. I have a ton of points but can't figure out how to use them.
But overall I like GolfNow I personally have seen no problem with the company
Boyfriend made a reservation online, he was double charged when the website refreshed asking for confirmation. Called customer service and spent 15 minutes dealing with dead end solutions. Said they couldnt confirm there was an error on their end, therefore they cant refund. Mostly frustrated that they refused to look into the issue and couldnt refund the charge which went through without approval. Bad experience, hopefully golf courses pick up on this lack of professionalism and find more personal and tailored businesses to partner with.
Unfair booking practices. Went on Otter Creek website and it doesn't specify that you are booking through golf now. Called to have booking charge explained - foreign customer service department - nothing they can do.
Negative reviews are not warranted. Myself and my playing partners have been using golf now for 3 years now without any issue. They have even been nice enough to refund us for hot deal rounds, which is clearly against their policy. Website and app works just fine and I have NEVER had a course lose our reservation/double book. How so many people can complain about discounted golf is beyond me. Learn how to read, then learn how to point and click. Its that simple...
This is golf. Things change, people drop out, the weather forecast changes. I prepaid $300 for a tee time for 4 people over the phone because i was in a rush, and now there's a 90-100% chance of rain on the day of our tee-time so obviously i'd like to make other plans. When i explain it that way they cite their "brand new" policy of absolutely no refunds unless the course closes due to weather, meaning i have to sit standby in the 5% off chance i can still play in soggy conditions. Why not just issue me a credit and release the tee time? Or better yet just charge me the difference between the hot deal vs normal price? I mean the normal price tee times are eligible for cancellations right? This is a dumb policy that's going to cost them. I used to think highly of golfnow, now i completely loathe this company. I hope the absolute worst for them...
My husband and I run a family owned course in a small town. We thought maybe going with golf now would bring us new patrons and help our newly opened business do a little better. It did not end up being profitable for us. We tried to cancel but we're told it would cost a ridiculous amount to cancel our contract. Reluctantly we stayed and tried to cancel the following year only to be told our contract automatically renewed. No notice, no call, no email to inform us about the auto renew. Our rep knew we needed to cancel and said not one word. We are now told we can discuss matters with their lawyers. I find it so sad that people nor companies have no honor these days. It's all about taking advantage of the little guy that can't fight back. If you're a well established course then try your luck but if you're not or just starting out be prepared to get screwed!
Please BUYER BEWARE especially with the holidays coming up! These giftcards are NOT traditional giftcards. You can ONLY use them on hot deals. I had no idea. It doesn't tell you that at the time of purchase. I would have been better off to give the person cash rather than buy this giftcard. DO NOT BUY GIFTCARDS FROM GOLF NOW!
I had used GolfNow several times throughout the past two years for golf courses down in Florida. Up until now I had never had an issue, but I understand where all these negative reviews are coming from now. After being overcharged more than 20% above the advertised rack rate (my fault for not checking), when I discovered this I called to cancel the reservation and was essentially told to go F myself from the customer service mutant I had the displeasure of speaking to. Screw me once... never again will I patronize the site.
The app glitches allot and changes dates to the current date constantly which makes navigation a pain. Make sure you verify everything before entering you credit card info because there will be no refunds from this company.
There customer service was good for me unlike most reviews here but they were unable to simply change my tee time to a different date. As stated above the app changes dates frequently even after seeing the date you are looking for. If you use their services be prepared to call your credit card company to dispute the charges.
Will never use the service again. Some flexibility on their part would probably improve the reviews they have.
Worst golf site in the world. They don't provide a function to modify your tee time so you have to cancel and re-book which could be fine, BUT they charge you the convenience fee for the cancelled one too which was $9.96 for my reservation ($20 in total). I had to waste 1 hour talking over the phone and agreed on getting a promo code via email but 1 week has passed and still haven't received it. They are now not receiving calls and they don't provide any other way to contact.
BEWARE! Golf now is trolling for ways to charge people for legitimately cancelled reservations - so be on the watch out. They make it impossible to get your money back. The service here reflects poorly on the Morris Country NJ team who selected them. Look at all these bad reviews! They are the truth
I booked a tee time on their web site for a local course for 18 holes with cart for $25 each for 2 people plus a modest fee of just under $5.00. It showed this breakdown on their page so I clicked purchase. When I went to print out my receipt the charge mysteriously became $36 per person. Therefore, I will never use golf now again. I tried to call their customer service number and it just goes to a dial tone.
Answer: Because they got too big for their britches. They think they have such a clientele that the few who will drop off are insignificant. They would not even refund my fees for an accidental booking I made for the wrong day. You are correct, I have been going thru the local websites of the courses themselves. I was a customer for 5 years with about 40 bookings per year, they took away my free fees and the bonuses. I have not booked with them in 4 months.
Answer: Golfnow sent an E-mail to me (Dec) informing me that points must be used by Dec. 31. Ok tried to find a tee time for Sat or Sun because I work M-F. Not one single location available in Tampa, Lakeland and Orlando to book. Having 6600 points that I lose, it seems more notice would have been provided to assist in using valued points (converted $88.20). Nearest course several hours away (Daytona) not happening. Contacted Golfnow and Mr. Joe Babcock of customer service, (oxymoron), had me call 800-767-3574 to get a tee time, what a joke, lady on phone was of no value and promised her supervisor would call back. Hell will freeze first, never again do business with these cons. Thanks, Douglas Roger Sundean
