Friendly and Fast

Shante came out to spray the foundation and brush down the old bug nests. She introduced herself and loved on our puppy before getting to work. She was done quickly and did a great job, even taking special care not to disturb the finch nest in our entry way. Thank you for doing such great work today, Shante!

Worse now, than before
September 3, 2022

Bug guy comes and makes promises to kill mosquitoes, gnats, and spiders. They get you to sign a bull contract, they spray sugar water, and the issues get worse.
Now every time I mow the lawn, the gnats attack, the mosquitoes are all silver dollar size now, and the spiders are worse than ever. I even had a Black Widow inside my house. Customer service is a joke. I told them to stick their contract.

The technician explained everything that the service covers and walked me through on what he is planning to do. He also set the traps as needed and made sure they Don't interfere with the walkway.

Overall great job and would recommend them.

I recently had an experience with Aptive, and I must say that I was quite disappointed with their cancellation policy. When I initially signed up for their services, I was not adequately informed about the cancellation fee. It felt like this information was conveniently left out during the sales process.

After experiencing ongoing issues with their services and noticing no improvement in the pest problems, I decided to cancel. To my surprise, I was informed of a significant cancellation fee that I was not aware of when signing up.

Transparency is key in any business relationship, and it's unfortunate that this aspect was lacking. I believe it's important for companies to clearly communicate all terms and fees upfront to avoid misunderstandings and customer dissatisfaction.

All of a sudden you can't get a hold of anyone. Can't cancel your contract. No one answers the phone or answers emails. And they have your card on automatic charge. There's not contact on your account. Very scary situation. Be careful with this company.

Great service

Mathias, the service tech, was professional and friendly. He paid attention to our needs and performed several requests including treating the bathrooms for silverfish and spraying the propane compartment on the bbq where creepy crawlies lie in wait.

Had a very good experience with Aptive Service Pro "Lisa" on 12/16/10. She was very polite and a true
And professionally thorough representative in treating all spaces, crack and crevices with a powder substance. She also provided an outdoor rodent trap (dog proof) along with some indoor sticky mouse "traps" at no additional charge to our regular contract. She was as helpful as could be possible during the contact. She is a definitely positive individual, with a nice smile and personality for you in representing your business.

As always, the customer facing interaction with the Aptive team was incredible. Les was fantastic! Personable, affable, efficient, and he was even willing to go above and beyond by recommending a few products and techniques to better care for my yard! Definitely the type of person you want representing your business.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I received 2 emails confirming service date was Thurs 6/1 and the service was rendered today (wed 5/31) I wanted to be off work and have time to clear.my yard of dog poop beforehand.

Stay away from Aptive!

I don't normally leave reviews, but this was such a terrible experience that I felt the need to share. The sign-up and first treatment went great. Zero issues. For the second treatment, I got stood up twice - Aptive just no-showed. When someone finally showed up (try #3), I got zero notification that they were headed my way. Once they arrived, they were onsite less than 5 minutes. I know because my Ring doorbell caught the tech's movement. I had another treatment today and same thing - the guy was here less than 5 minutes. No way you can provide quality treatment in that amount of time, especially for what I'm paying them. The worst part is instead of offering any refund (they did offer $10 off the first time... big whoop), they offer to send someone else out. No, thank you! Stay away from Aptive!

We had our regular service scheduled for 12/14/23. I just happened to be working from home that day. Normally the Service "Professional" will text when he's on his way but this time he just showed up. He didn't come to the door to let us know he was here so I just decided to watch. He sat in his truck for about 14 minutes. He finally took the brush out of his van just long enough to take a picture of him holding it up to the eve. He put the brush away and got back in the van. After about 8 minutes he left. He then sent a summary (see video description) of everything he supposedly did and tried to charge our card $174. Unfortunately he didn't know we have cameras that captured the whole thing (https://youtu.be/jnbdUiJ1kyc). I was able to cancel my contract after this but this is the same "Professional" that "treated" our yard the past 3 times so who knows how much money we wasted. Be VERY careful of who you trust to do service for you. Keep a good eye on them to make sure you're paying for the services you are receiving.

Pushy salesman shows up at my door in June. They did the initial treatment which did nothing to control the bugs. We ended up doing our own pest control over the summer and fall. 2nd call I get is in November saying they were coming to do the next treatment. Tried to cancel the contract but they said it would be 200 to cancel. Spraying for bugs in Nov when they are either dead, hibernating or have already moved indoors makes no sense to me. This company is a scam and do not use their service. Their pest control does not work and its expensive.

On text recieved to confirm date I opt no but they still came. They sprayed only the front of the house not the inside nor garage where I'm having issue with these water bugs. Makes no sense they made my dogs bark and woke up my family when I asked to reschedule it really upset me.

Deceitful people

I signed with them for 1 year to try, did not notice any changes except I has a huge bunch of big flies in my house from outside, don't know how they enter the house may be open window. My dog was poisoned despite they said it was pet friendly. I did not allow my dog out for 24 hours, nevertheless she got diarrhea and it cost me the trip to vet.
I cancel service in the end of contract and guess what! They came to do service without even asking my permission! Fraud and robbing company. Stay away of them

The worst customer service! Holy crap! Over an hour and a half of waiting? Still waiting at "2 min" for the last 30 min….also: It's pretty ridiculous the amount of times businesses decide to incorporate a "you want out?" Tactic. I let them know was no longer interested in service. They pause the service and keep it so that I will simply have a visit for the minimal amount. I remained uninterested- they push it off as far as possible. Time passes and then attempt to charge my card for renewed service- my yard isn't open for them to even visit so it wasn't accomplished. My card number is renewed before then. They send me to collections- and here we are. I shouldn't have started to begin with.

For cancellations, remain on the path- just say no.

Don't use Aptive
November 10, 2022

We moved into a new community and Aptive signed a bunch of the folks in my neighborhood. They made it sound like we were getting a deal. My sister has used them for a few years so I thought we would try them. They don't explain everything up front. I was told we would have 4-5 visits per year but would only pay $179 quarterly. After the 5th visit in a row where they charged the $179, I called them. They charge that each time they come, I told them I wanted to cancel and had to pay $199 to get out of the contract which they never sent me until I called them, I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Showed up out of nowhere with no permissions to be on the property and caked the cops because we were outside and our kids were inside. Absolutely unacceptable. These are absolutely idiots that I wouldn't trust with a weed much less my home.

I just signed up for service. Contact person was personable and laid out the service plan and cost. However when asked about getting an insurance certificate for general liability and worker compensation he indicated he was unsure what this was. He said I should call his office to ask about this. Against my better judgement I signed up anyway. I thought a company such as this must be able to provide certificates. When I called and spoke with a representative she was aware of what I was asking. She put me on hold and ask someone in their organization. She got back on the line and said they do not do this. Frankly I was surprised by this and decided to cancel my contract within the 3 day grace period provided by NY law to cancel a contract. As I write this I cannot believe an organization such as this does not provide a certificate of insurance as a normal part of doing business.
