I placed an order on Gap.com... Unfortunately the account had an former address that was pulled over onto the order... I made several requests to have the address updated... They refused to correct it due to "it's too far in the shipping process, sorry" well that was bull stuff since I next contacted UPS after the tracking number was available and they stated that Gap could have sent a message to UPS to update the ship to address... Long story short my order is now sitting at an address that I haven't lived at in 3 yrs... Hope the person there likes the shoes! Gap customer service stinks
My 16 year old son simply doesn't like it. He cannot articulate why exactly, but I think it has to do with not being cool or relevant to him. Even when I show him similar merchandise from the store he does like.
I had an online order ship in 3 parts. One of the packages was delivered incorrectly, UPS nor Gap were of any help, literally, when you call the Gap customer service it says "Due to the unusually high volume of calls, we are unable to respond" and then it hangs up. Their online chat is off. I went to the store and their response was "this has been happening so often and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it except to try and call". After being on hold through the Gap phone at the store for 30 minutes, I gave up. I then emailed customer service and got the same response as I did when i called.
Buying clothes should not be a second job, it is a luxury and you expect good service, or just any service at all! I am beyond disappointed that I am in limbo without the goods i purchased or a refund of the goods I purchased because I cannot speak to anyone!
I placed two orders with Gap.com to be delivered to two different relatives to bring to me outside the US. Three days after I placed the second order, I received an email from Gap.com telling me they were verifying my credit card information and that I must contact them within 24 hours or they would cancel my order. I called and completed the verification process, but by then it was too late; my order would not arrive in time for my family to bring my order. Customer service said they could not change the shipping instructions to expedite shipping even though Gap itself was responsible for the shipping delay. I find it shocking that Gap.com has online reviews ranging from mediocre to terrible, and the company has done nothing to clean up its image.
I have ordered several of GAP tee's. I especially love the navy. It goes with so many things and the darker color is more flattering on someone with a bigger stomach. I usually wear either a small or medium in GAP and decided to keep the medium. The small was just a little too short for me especially if you like to tuck them in.
I had two fraudulent charges put on my Gap visa card that happened in January 2014 and were immediately deemed fraudulent charges. The billing of this was credited and rebilled on/off of my card over the 5 months Gap staff kept assuring me I would "see it taken off in next statement" which obviously didn't happen, or I would not be complaining. Approximately $3,300.00 worth at that. Finally just closed the card. More sadly I still have to pay the bill that is not mine to maintain good credit standing. They SUCK!
I ordered 2 dress online and received my order not only late but both dress still have the store plastic security tags attached! I spent hours trying to remove it and hurt myself so I contact customer service and request a printed return label to send to so I can return it. They refuse and said company policy do not send out printed return label to customer. I already told them the nearest store to me will be hours for driving so I need to return it by mail but I don't have a printer to print, they still refuse to send me the return label and demand me to drive hours to the store to have the plastic security tags remove from store.
They are using overseas CS for online chat so they do not care how their customer felt and they don't care about return customer.
I recently ordered three necklaces and only received only one which was damaged. I was told I will not get a replacement because it's out of stock. They said that one necklace was "lost" in transit and they claimed to ship the other one yesterday. I will believe it when I receive it. Horrible company with very poor customer service.
I have been shopping on gap.com for my family for years. Most of our clothing basics come from Gap. I especially love their waist cinchers for kids clothing. But the best thing about them is their sales. Can even get up to 40% off.
I miss the classic Gap. You could always count on them for a solid set of basics: long sleeved Ts, basic skirts and trousers, cute dresses. The "trendy" clothes they are trying to venture into are like overpriced Forever 21 clothes. Hey, Gap -- we aren't really 21 forever.
Gap.com truly is perfection when it comes to online shopping. My orders always arrive on time and customer service is excellent! The return process is so easy and fast too. They seriously couldn't do it any better! Thanks Gap!
Though I prefer to do my shopping elsewhere, gap.com is still a place I check out for basics - plain v-neck t-shirts, socks, stockings, etc. Gap's always good for that. Actually, Gap body is quite good for underwear, pajamas and even sports bras. It's important to know your size before buying online because Gap can run small in some things and bigger in others. However, the quality is always pretty consistently Gap, and I appreciate that I can count on their customer service to be pretty good.
They have really nice clothes, although i also find their discounts extremely deceitful, in fact this is rather obvious. Their clothing quality is good, i got a $150 dollar jacket there of course with the $75 dollar coupon and its still great but i also bought a neck warmer shirt which doesn't wash well and that cost me a whooping $75 and is now so stretched. You think you are getting a deal, trust me you arent.
To be clear, I like their kids clothing line, but their online services are just awful.
As much as I love shopping in stores for Gap kids clothes, their online shopping is a disaster. I placed an order on 11/29, as of today my order still shows pending shipment status. I sent a follow up email to customer service on 12/6, no answer. The odds of receiving the items in time for kiddo Bday on 12/15 are pretty slim. Sad. Their return service is equally slow.
I am trying to find them an excuse but it's really hard considering how well the competition is doing. There is a spike in purchases between Black Friday and Christmas, nothing new here, so why is it so hard for GAP to anticipate? Last year was the same mess. Next year, I will just pass on GAP.
I will never purchase anything from this store again. I purchased online and by the time I received it tried it on and figured out how to do a return. It was too late to return so now I'm stuck with clothing that has zero value to me and I can't even get a refund. When I tried to call their customer service I got stuck with someone who didn't even speak English and hung up on me. Horrible experience.
They have really stepped up the style factor and I love the sale prices especially. Online often has exclusive products that do not come into the stores. So exclusive limited editions are only online- drawing you to the online site.
I would give them a 0 star if possible. I ordered 18 items on 11/26/20.9 of them were lost in transit and showed no shipping movement since 12/2. Called Gap last week and was told I had to wait until 12/21 before they could do anything. Called today as items still had not arrived and they said they could issue me a return that would show up in 3-5 days and repurchase everything at my expense today. When speaking with a supervisor was told their company never reships items at no cost to customer. That no matter if items were damaged, missing, wrong item shipped, etc, that customer is always asked to repurchase the item(s) again as they wait for their return. Epitome of bad customer service and I will never purchase from this company again. Beware of this company.
I have to write this coz i am amazed on quality. I wore my old gap puffer this winter and then decided to do simple laundry ( tag says dry cleaning only but i looked at this tag only after i washed it lol) how ever... its dried and as new, nothing destroyed< down back to its original condition... thanks God! And thanks GAP
A lot of good options, and great sales. I have the card and they are always offering extra discounts so I would recommend waiting if you see something you like. Still good quality materials for the most part, can buy a good cotton shirt and jeans.
I purchased a 2 piece swimsuit from the GAP. When it arrived, one of the sizes was incorrect (mistakes happen). I called customer service (the rep was nice, professional and helpful) and they overnighted the correct size to me at no charge and didn't charge me for the extra piece. I simply had to return the incorrect piece within 30 days (very reasonable).
Unfortunately the suit didn't look great on me so I'm returning all the pieces, but will definitely shop there again because they have been so nice and everything has been so easy!
Answer: During the pandemic, it is actually impossible. They do not have customer service reps and the call just simply says they cannot help you.
