My games never came! FedEx never received them. GameStop told me to wait 8 days for a replacement. On the 8th day they tell me I have to wait for the case to be reviewed for an additional 3-5 days! This is ridiculous! Ended up placing another order because I didn't want to miss the sale prices and the "new" games were used. Not sealed and disk is scratched. NEVER AGAIN and I spend a lot of money on games for my family. I will not be renewing my pro membership next year. BUY FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I ordered 4 items from GameStop.com on 11-10-23. Shipping is $7.99 for 1-3 shipping. 1 of my four items arrived on 11-15-23. Today is 11-26-23 and 3/4 of my order still hasn't arrived. 1-3 shipping is now going on 16 days. The only updates I can get is that it still says that it is preparing to ship. And it has said this for the last 13 days. I have reached out with several emails to GameStop and all anybody could tell me is that they will try to speed up the process. This was my first time ordering from GameStop online and it will definitely be my last.
I ordered a playstation at 9:33 am today, chose "same day delivery" option, paid for it, received a confirmation email stating "You will receive your order by 8 pm today".

At 7:20 pm I called customer service. The guy told me that order has not shipped yet, and I have to wait 24 hours.
When I asked him why my e-mail says: You will receive your order by 8 pm today, he hung up on me. Simply hung up.

GameStop is unlike any other store when it comes to returns. The store does not allow opened items to be returned for any reason other than that it is defective. I had bought a VR and got super motion sick from it. I tried to return it the next day and they did not accept it. Therefore leaving me with a game system I could not play. They never warned us that they do not do returns on new opened devices. It does say it at the very bottom of the receipt in little letters.
It says open at 11am and it was close. Nobody pick up the phone. Wasted gas. Waited 44min and the store didnt open
Orders a PS5 for a birthday gift for my son on said 1-3 day shipping. Two days in no shipping information I call get no answer from uninformed staff ask for a supervisor and get hung up on. Offered no expedited shipping to fix mistake so went on Walmart it will be here tomorrow. Thanks GameStop for losing my business
Don't buy trading cards from GameStop they sold me resealed packs. They were bad double cards in packs, packs to easy to open, glue is not the same glue on normal boxes. Don't trust GameStop on reading cards
Ordered an Xbox controller charging dock from their clearance section and it came MISSING the battery. It was literally missing the key component that makes this item function, it is useless without the battery. They don't allow returns on clearance items (which I could understand if the customer simply doesn't like the item) but when you basically send me an empty box I think they should make an exception. I emailed them and they told me "to bad" basically. I've shopped at GameStop for over ten years and we all know they need every customer they can get. I'll never go back now because of a 10$ item but that's their choice I guess. Also, ordered a clearance item that was a shirt and it came with a stain on it lol, I just let that one go but the lesson here is never order anything on clearance, it is on clearance for a reason. They will rip you off.
Been a member for a long time and when you go to them with receipts and they tell you we'll we can't do anything to help you well, let's just say over 300.00 worth of crap controllers and no help. Kiss my $#*! gamestop I will never be back...
As an enjoyer of video games (who isn't) i love my merch and will basically buy anything with a zelda logo, game stop has a lot of the things i love or have loved and since i shop in-store the only real problem i could see is them running out of a particular thing, its not they're fault though. For example Pokemon cards, i love Pokemon cards, but if i want new release ones, i have to pre order or go to the store a minute before it opens and be disappointed. I'll enjoy Pokemon until i die, but side note; people have no restraint when it comes to Pokemon and will rip the joy away from kids, i will never buy so much of something that kids wont be able to have and get them, they deserve it more than adults, or at least a chance to get it.
I had almost 120,000 points built up as a My PowerUp rewards member. I've bought several consoles and countless video games and other products from GameStop over decades of being a customer. I've spent thousands of dollars there. I recently cashed in my lifetime worth of points. I had some issues getting the app to work right after I cashed in the points. I came back a couple weeks later and all my points were gone. After multiple phone calls I was finally able to get a refund... for 1/6 of my total points. They refunded me 20,000 points and said that was all they could do. F**k GameStop
So I ordered a game from GameStop the other day and still waiting for it to be shipped and if I don't see it in the mail today or tomorrow I'm never shopping there again
Bought a funko pop from them online that was on clearance. The item arrived severely damaged because they didn't pack it properly. I reached out to customer service and was informed that because it was a clearance item, their policy is to reject any and all refunds, returns or exchanges for the item. Even though the item could have been damaged before mailing it out, or in transit, they refuse to rectify the issue. Don't but anything from this greedy crap $#*! company. Let them die already.
I purchased Samsung Monitor. Received yesterday and it's damaged. They didn't accept in store return and told me to call Samsung customer service. I called them and they asking for repair charge for the monitor.
I paid $300 and now I am in trouble.
I was charged handling for an order(for fragile items, but have order game consoles and games and never been charged), even though the website clearly states free shipping over $79, and this was even selected when the order was placed. I asked for a copy of this policy and no agent or supervisor could provide that to me. I placed a second order with the exact same items and was not charged this fee. I cancelled both orders and made the purchase somewhere else. Terrible customer service. I hope to see the day that they go bankrupt for being such a corrupt company. I will celebrate when each store closes their doors for the last time, because if they continue with these shady practices that will happen.
I ordered a digital giftcard online. The money came out of my bank account almost immediately. I never received a confirmation email or the download code. After 3 phone calls, I was told they cannot refund my money! I will never use Gamestop again. The BBB will be aware of their practices. It clearly says on the website no money will be taken until the code is received. That's a lie! Be careful ordering online with Gamestop! No wonder this company is always on the verge of bankruptcy! What a joke!
I had a bad Nintendo Switch pro controller and while looking for a replacement I ordered one from GameStop merely because it stated same day delivery. It has now been 6 days and it still hasn't made it to the USPS for delivery. (I paid $7 for shipping by the way and could have gotten it from Amazon and paid zero shipping) When I called 3 days after ordering they said I couldn't cancel it because it had already been processed for shipment….when in fact they created a label only. I will never order anything from GameStop again.
I bought a second hand Ps5 game for $25.
I just received it in the mail, I couldn't use it because I was going on a family trip for a few days, when I got back a week later and went to use the game, it didn't work and gave error.
After checking it well I realized that it was broken in the reading part and that's why it didn't work.
When I contacted the customer service and asked for a refund they told me that the return period is only 7 days and that it had expired and they were not going to refund the money or exchange the product.
I think they should check that the games they sell work and if they don't, they should attend to customer complaints.
I think they may do it intentionally to get defective product.
I do not recommend at all co for products in this online store, also the prices are similar to the PlayStation store.
I went into the GameStop in Lakewood in bunts and Detroit. There was an assist manager from an Elyria store running the this store alone. She was so bubbly kind helpful and assist. She needs her own store. Very sweet
Will take money fast, if you return a game expect a hassle don't like to refund you in any way. Will not buy from them ever again would rather pay more at Amazon and know if I need to return something no hassles!
