We used Forward2me to ship some items to Greece. Initially all was good, order got to them, they repackaged it, but the repackaging could not complete until costs were added. It was not clear if it was cost of package or cost of individual items. As it turns out I doubled the value of the good shipped by assuming it was per package I think,
Shipping costs calculator said the max cost would be £200with UPS so we selected that. The cost of shipping was £842 😳. But once selected I could not change it.
Customs and duties are neither included or taken care of so we then had 2 weeks of trying to negotiate Greek customs to get our packages. All in all a massive headache and a really expensive one too.
Will be unlikely to use again.

Thanks for the feedback.

We believe that you have shipped some duvet products from John Lewis. The actual weight of the goods is 72.82 kg. Due to them being divided among multiple boxes, we suggest combining and repacking them to reduce the number of boxes used, this why your packaga are marked as repacking required.

Every customer has the option to override this repack required tag if they prefer not to proceed with the repacking request.

When submitting a repack request, you receive an estimated price range based on the current weight and dimensions of the package. The cost of shipping is generally calculated by the amount of space that your shipment occupies, rather than the actual weight. This is called the volumetric weight. All couriers (examples: DHL and TNT) use the volumetric weight to calculate their shipping prices. However, if the actual weight is more than this volumetric weight then the shipping price is calculated using this actual weight.

I see on this occasion the volumetric weight is higher than the actual weight 72.82 kg so the shipping fees are calculated on the higher volumetric weight 135.63 kg.

I recently used forward2me to ship a large package containing an air portable conditioner, and I'm extremely pleased with the service I received. The entire process was smooth and efficient from start to finish.
Jane from the customer experience team was particularly helpful throughout. She provided excellent support, keeping me updated on the status of my package and promptly answering any questions I had. Her responsiveness and professionalism were truly impressive.
The delivery itself was handled with great care. Despite being a large and potentially fragile item, my air portable conditioner arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was secure and the item was delivered right on schedule.

A great service not without its problems.

I tried to submit my purchase invoice in a jpeg format as required but it kept telling me I had an incorrect format. Nothing I could do but wait till the item came in and was reviewed for shipping.
After all that I got the message that the parcel requires repacking and as usual had to pay a premium to have the item shipped to me regardless of the "repack for savings". I have now found that the service is becoming way to expensive to use anymore and will most probably close my account.

Got a delivery from UK to Germany. Fast delivery and nothing was damaged. Ordering, repackaging, etc. was easy and worked. I didn´t really know if repackaging would save me money due to the description on the forward2me website. Did it anyways. I had to pay a lot of Taxes when my Package crossed European borders. Thats what i didnt like. It was imported through the Netherlands and the people there actually took the time to correct my low evaluation for my imported products. So i payed double the amount of taxes i had estimated. Not the fault of forward2me. They could however give the option for me to import through Germany. Pretty sure they would not have corrected my evalutions. Overall very good service provided by Forward2me.

I accidentally sent DHL labels that had already been used in Ireland to the UK warehouse to return packages to Harrods. (These labels were already used in Ireland to send packages back to Harrods). DHL said that these labels would not have been able to be scanned twice. So they would not have picked up the packages from the UK warehouse. It was my mistake to send the incorrect labels, I admit that. But Forward2Me keeps telling me that the packages were delivered and to contact Harrods. Yes! The packages were picked up and delivered from Ireland. You can clearly see that on the DHL tracking. The packages were NOT picked up in the UK. This has been going on for 4 weeks! And about 20 emails back and forth. If they can't find the packages, let me know. But don't keep telling me they were delivered. If you started looking for the packages when I first contact you 4 weeks ago, you might have found them. Now I'm out HUNDREDS of pounds. Not helpful

Won't Help Find Package Lost in Warehouse

I ONLY use this forwarding place. I like there responsiveness to communication and emails. I had an item missing, sent picture of my order from the retailer, described the item and provided pictures of delivery and they located it. I'm very happy with their service and the service Kat has provided to me. I do recommend this company. Just pay attention to your orders and provide details you need they genuinely want to work with you and make it right!

Got a Broken Laptop with a hole in the screen

It appears that UPS was used as your courier and that no Protect+ was added to this shipment. Therefore, we will be filing a claim with UPS, and any compensation offered will be provided by them according to their terms of trade.

Please note that your items were not repacked by forward2me and they were shipped as is. We unfortunately do not have control over how it is handled once it leaves our warehouse or during its time with UPS.
