Why are all these document software companies using the same lame marketing strategy. If your service is a subscription service, SAY SO. Don't pretend to be free until you get their email address and then say "just kidding. We're actually a subscription service but we'll give you 30 days free if you give us your credit card number." Thanks for wasting my time FormSwift. I'll be sure never to use or recommend your services to anyone. Does honesty and integrity mean nothing anymore? I guess I'll never know how good the service really is because the marketing department just cost FormSwift a customer for life.

I am so impressed with their customer service. I spoke with David in the chat when I couldn't get my documents to print. With just a couple questions, he knew what my problem was and offered ways to fix it. The The error was my fault, I accidently started a new account by opening the website in a different browser. He asked if I had any other email addresses, and realized that that was where my paid trial was.
Because I created a document in the wrong place, he took my document and email it to me so I could open it and print it. He went above and beyond and was very polite and very fast. I'm already enjoying the website but because of his customer service I am more than likely going to purchase the year subscription once my trial is over.

I spent quite a bit of time going through their reasonably smooth process to generate a codicil to a will. When I click on the link that gives the details of what I was agreeing they could do with the information I had entered (some financial info, my address, who I was leaving money too, etc.) They were as far as I could tell saying they would be sharing that info (selling it?) to others.
I was appalled. It was disturbing enough that I had to quit before printing my form.
I suspect I thereby got my answer to my nagging question regarding all the sites that offer to generate legal and other forms free (which was "why/how are they doing this free?")
That is, I suspect many of the sites that offer free form preparation are, like FormSwift doing it to get access to your info.
Their assurance, which I think I read on their site, that they don't sell your email address is minor compared to what they imply they will do.
READ THE FINE PRINT OF THEIR AGREEMENT before putting in the work to generate a form, I suggest. That is their terms of service and/or privacy policy.
I gave them three stars instead of just two because as far as I could tell the form they would have generated would have been appropriate.

As everyone else here, I assumed this service was free until after I'd already finished my document and was ready to download. Luckily, they have a 7 day free trial period followed by an automatic charge. Somehow, I must have accidentally signed up for the wrong membership so instead of 7 free days I was charged the full annual price (not sure how this happened but I think it was probably my fault, rather than a glitch in their system). After reading the word 'scam' a lot here, I was scared about contacting them. However, they repaid me in full immediately with no problem. Still only 4 stars due to the time I wasted creating my documents thinking this was a free service, only to realize at the end that it was not. Customer support was good though, definitely not a scam!

I was on FormSwift and somehow they charged me for things that I did not even order. It started with $1.95 charges which I did not catch and they started to charge 29.95 per month. All these transactions were definitely fraudulent and without my knowledge nor consent. Be aware when you are on their site and they ask for Credit Card information. Making sure if you do use them, that it's one time charge and not repetitive. Review your credit card statements since I did not catch this until today, February 10,2018 and they started charging back in September 2017

After signing up for their trial membership for $1.95, I received access to their glitchy software and immediately realized this was not going to work for my business. So I called FormSwift to cancel and was told there would be no further charges or action needed. Given that, I filed this away as complete and didn't give it a second thought. Months later, after doing an audit of my account, I now see that they continued to charge my account! I reached back out to customer service on 5. 14. 20, and "Tasha" claims that there was no record of my cancellation. How convenient. Especially when I now see HUNDREDS of similar negative reviews and complaints on the same issue. Now I continue to receive automated emails that are asking for my bank account, routing number, and address (!) so they can provide a refund. Why would I ever give them confidential banking information!?! They were able to charge my credit card monthly without it, they should be able to provide a refund easily!

I recently signed up for a free trial to edit a couple of pdf's had to put in card details to be able to export them. Completely forgot to cancel until I had an annual fee of $135 Aus dollars. Once cancelled I can no longer use their services that I just accidentally payed a full year for. They are absolutely scummy please do not use. I will be contacting consumers affairs about this.

Disgusting company, I downloaded one form 3 years ago, since then they have debited my account almost $500. When asked for a refund they refused. The email attached to my account was an old work email that was not monitored and closed down, they received bounce back emails but ignored them and still debited my account even though I did not use any services from them for over 3 years. Make sure you are careful downloading anything from this company.

Black hat marketing tactics. They make it seem like you will be able to export a business plan for free until you have gone through the process of completing it. Then you will find that you have to submit your credit card information for a "free trial" where many reviews site an extremely difficult process to do so. The unclear limits and capabilities should be removed from their sales process.

Yes, it's a good PDF editor BUT there's NO MENTION before you spend all of your time editing that in order to download your new document, you MUST sign up for a plan entering form of payment! No way around it.
I screenshot my 1 page but that makes it even more work to send it in document form. Don't waste your time unless you don't mind entering your financial info for a 1 month free trial. I didn't see ANY totally free option.

As I inserted my name and email for a "chat" with customer support numerous times it kept popping up that I must fill in all required fields. I did that, a lot of times! Could NEVER get thru to chat with anyone. I scrolled to bottom of page to try the "contact us" part, kept saying that a page error had occurred, but miraculously if I tried one of their selling point tabs, such as will and testament and such, it took me right to that page. I wish I could put less than one star!

On all sights they have 1-to-1.5-star rating. This business is not BBB accredited, with 1 star. Which makes me question Sitejabber.
When I looked at your FREE form swift. I had to Ok a charge of $1.95 with no mention of $33.00 membership, just to look at your FREE forms, I never used any of your forms. You can see and you know there has been no activity on it. A credible company would not keep pulling out money from a account you say I opened with no activity. You have pulled $825.00 out of a card I was paying off. You now put me 2 years behind on paying it off. I will search for every investigation I can find on this Scam. FBI Internet Scam Div. Discover is not pleased either. Formswift is known to be a scam. I have seen on numerous reviews. On your FREE forms turn into hidden charges.

I desperately needed to convert my pdf to a word document and I stumbled across this page in high hopes of achieving this goal. After I inputted all my data (which included about 8 pages) I was notified that I had to pay for this. It did not tell me this before i actually started and instead waited until I clicked the download button. As a college student, I simply am not in a steady financial position to be spending ridiculous amounts of money like this. After exiting the payment page, I was greeted with my blank document. ALL of the data that I inputted had somehow disappeared. I was very upset and disappointed as I had worked quite a few hours trying to complete this.

Used one-time, when asked for a credit since I had not accessed the service since, was told no twice by their "Chat Bot", Jamie. Really disappointed, and the form that I used, a bill of sale, was very difficult to manipulate. I strongly recommend people avoid.
