Do not sign up with this company. They sneak bill you every so often figuring you won't catch it. That's crooked in my world. Charging for something you didn't want or authorized is a form of stealing from the consumer. I am but a grain of sand on a beach BUT together we can shut them down if we make complaints to the Feds. Enough complaints and they will respond. Let's become the beach not the grain of sand.
STAY AWAY. Looks like the answer to your prayers. Edit a. Pdf for free, it's advertised. So you spend a couple of hours using form Swift's Tools, etc. Then you find out you've wasted time and effort unless you pay for the document you have just worked on. The joke's on you: It may be free to use the tools, but not free to get your document once you've used the tools. I'd rather walk away than pay this deceptive company a penny.
This company takes advantage of people. They trick you into a subscription service through their trial and send zero email receipts to confirm your payments while they charge up your card. I'd add proof of purchase, but I HAVE NONE other than the $200 I lost on my credit card statement. Stay away.
I've used FormSwift many times. They have so many documents to choose from and it's very easy to use. I've made several documents and was pleased with the ones that I've made. I've tried to use other sites that were not so user-friendly but I would highly recommend using this site. They even offer e-filing for tax services which is a huge plus by me. Simply awesome!
We tried the free trial once, but we forgot to cancel the membership while it was still running. We were having to travel around due to work. Formswift.com charged us $37.00 and could not offer us a refund. As it was past their timeframe. We did not even use formswift.com
Scammy approach! You should tell customers they need to pay before wasting their time!
This is a bully approach to getting money. Will never use just out of principle. I would have gladly paid if you had said so up front.
This company has one star on Trust Pilot and an F rating on the Better Buisness Bureau website.
They state a "free" 7-day trial period and then make it impossible to cancel. Many people mention not being able to sign in again to cancel and then there is a recorded message on their customer service phone number. I am still trying to cancel after 3-days. They are just waiting until my 7 days expire so they can charge my credit card.
DO NOT BELIEVE THESE REVIEWS--LOOK AT THE REVIEWS ON TRUST PILOT AND THE BBB website
Traditional scam based business. Dupe many one time users to accidentally creating a "free" account and enter your credit card information for "identity purposes" then charge them one or two times before the user cancels. I don't understand how owners of companies like this sleep at night.
I helped a friend of mine trace where they were charged $29.95 and it was good ol' formswift.com. This friend walked me through the process they used to upload a document to fill out and share and I never saw the point at which my friend acknowledged entering into a monthly payment plan.
I got sucked into using the one free form 1099-MISC in January of 2016. I just discovered FormSwift has been billing my account@$39.95/months every since for 15 months without one invoice or notice of billing. They obviously depend on this stealth mode of billing hoping to steal as much as possible. As far as I'm concerned, this is intentional wire fraud. I am going to my bank and tell them this was not authorized. We'll see what happens.
I was surprised when my free trial automatically turned into a paid subscription for $26. I definitely did not sign up for that. However, I was pleasantly surprised to call, talk to a live operator, and in less than 5 minutes the charge was reversed. So while I think the charge was a little deceptive at least they very quickly fixed the situation to my complete satisfaction.
I originally wrote a bitter review of this site... But we called them and got a 100% refund! So nice of this company to understand our concerns and give us our money back. This is how customer service SHOULD be done.
I sat for an hour creating my document and when I went to put in my info for the 7 days free trial that they charged me a dollar for my entire document that I had created was gone. That's how you piss off a customer. Try worrying about keeping my document safe instead of trying to sucker me into getting my credit card info. You suck!
Loosing $40 x 5 months at least. Bank of America won't dispute more than two months past. I agreed to their terms by clicking and buried in their statement was an automatic subscription notice.
I couldn't review my bank statements as I was flat on my back for 42 days with a brain bleed. I was lucky to pay the statement. Now I notice the monthly charges.
I would call it dishonest, deceptive and underhanded. Do no business with such.
I did one form and updated it once..
I wanted to use them once. They chatrged me monthly $40 for at least 7 months before i caught on. I was in 4 hospitals and lucky to be able to pay bills and taxes. 42 days on my back. They just happily kept taking my money. When i called they credited me for 2 months before I was hung up on.
Scoundrels
I needed to print out some applications and found them online. In order to finish it requested my credit card for the 1 week free trial. I wasn't impressed by the site so I submitted a cancellation request. I didn't pay attention after i sent in the request and saw 3 months later I was getting charged $30/mo for nothing. I sent a message to the billing department asking to cancel and refund, never responded. Saw a charge the next month, messaged again and got no response. When they switched the contact us portal to an actual email I finally received a response with 3/9 months payments back and they never responded after I asked for all of it back. Good business
When I searched on google for templates it automatically popped up and I started entering all the details and spent 30 minutes creating meeting minutes only to know that I need to provide payment details. If it had mentioned anything about payments up front I would not have wasted 30 minutes and provided lot of details. Deceptive practise shows this is a really BAD company and need to stay away
Bunch of crooks, need to be kicked out of the bay area. Seriously popped up on google as a free pdf file service to fill out docs. Nope as soon as your done typing all your info and want to save, bam! The want credit card info and you have to cancel the service to not be charged. Straight jokers, we don't need companies who lie in the bay area. Please leave, you guys suck.
Needing legal documents for some personal and business matters, I can't explain how wonderful Formswift was. Now mind you to get a normal lawyer would have cost me a couple of hundred dollars due to the timeframe i needed this done. So being tight on money I did search for a free document. Many people say it is a bait and switch when it is free, but you are offered a trial period, but think about it, a free trial vs a lawyer. I will take the trial even if it requires my card, all you have to do is cancel within 7 days and no charges. Simple, but for the rate of 40 a mnth, that is cheaper than a lawyer for on call documents (as long as they are available). The conversion services are great. Give it a try, and if you have any problems, just contact customer service, they will get right on it.
Looked up PDF writing to complete my quiz. This comes up, first thing it said that it was free and very easy to use. I use it and do my exam for an hour only to finish and find out I cannot get my work without entering my credit card information. I would have loved to get that information in the beginning
It's just wrong and doesn't make me trust this company
I was in a rush to create a professional bill of sale and landed on Formswift.com. In no time at all my document was ready for printing. If I were a professional company in need of these types of services I would be subscribed to Formswift without a doubt. The ease of access and document organization is a time saving tool. The Support staff are also customer oriented, as they should be.
See review description!
Was "Free" in add - Turned out $1.95 for 7 days. Then $37 for 30 days - Forgot to Cancel - No Refund
Theft of Soul - and Lossing Trust in Humanity!
Answer: No. After I agreed to pay $1.95 for one day's use, I filled out the 1099 form and printed it. The form says its just a 1099 information for and warned you cannot submit it to the IRS or you will be charged penalties. I looked up the IRS regs and you can only submit a 1099 form to the IRS that you order from the IRS. FormSwift's 1099 information form is worthless so selling it as if it was the real IRS 1099 form is a scam. Worse, I only agreed to pay $1.95 but FormSwift charged my credit card $39.00. I disputed the charge today with my credit card company who gave me a $39.00 credit it says is permanent. It was a complete rip-off.
Answer: Min cost is $1.95 and goes up from there. No free services are offered in spite of advertised as free.
Answer: Would not convert to Word. Only offered pdf format.
Answer: I used the privacy app so they won't have a chance to charge me again.
