This is the first data recovery software I have. It restores a lot of memories of my childhood that I accidentally deleted, thanks to them.
App doesn't do what they claim it does. When asking for refund, they ask for all order information and problem information, even for a video of the problem. I ran an issue with the software and had to reinstall it. Unfortuately when trying to activate the software. I received a message that the license key was already used. All attempts to contact FonePaw via thier website resulted in no response. Even the reseller "Paddle" was not able to get a response from FonePaw. These folks give both the reseller and themselves a bad name due to their lack of response. I now have software I paid over $100 for that I can not use.
Tip for consumers:
If the reseller Paddle does not do a better Job of screening their clients, perhaps they should be avoided as well.

What a handy piece of software! All you have to do is plug your phone into your computer, select transfer, and the next thing you know, you're sitting back waiting to see how convenient Fonepaw Dotrans is. This is a huge time saver for me! Although the free version would have been enough for me, I purchased the full version after seeing the power of this software.
Well, the program works, but if you need tech support for ANY issue - forget it - they will ghost you. The first time I needed support a couple of years ago, I had to submit a request five times before they responded. This time, I submitted a request three times, over a week ago, and NOTHING. Their tech support is non existant. There are now free versions of this type software that will do the same thing. I've switched to the free version of Winx MediaTrans. There's one nag screen with the free version, but it works.

Do not give these people your money! They lie about the capabilities of their product and don't follow their own return policy.

The worst piece of garbage did not recover anything. Waited for hours for the app to "recover " my deleted photos and came back with what I had. Not a single deleted picture was recovered

I downloaded Fonepaw and got an error message about not having the right verification. When I reached out to them I got NO response. I ended up having to buy a new phone and when I asked for a refund they said if I used the License Key I could NOT get a refund. How do you know if the product is going to work or not if you don't use the license key?
I had technical troubles from the start. I had to choose another app which worked effectively. Asked for refund explaining my reasons. They require lots of info to even consider refund. But first you have to try to have tech support work through your issues. Then you reach an impersonal Emily Watson. Not sure if she a computer generated response as it responds in a cold and unfeeling manner. Anyway I gave up.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It will not backup your group messages so you will not be able to restore them. I have tried working with the customer support team and it is almost impossible. It takes anywhere from 7 to 10 days to get a response and then the response is to view the product videos on their website or on YouTube. That does NOT show me how to backup group messages. There is no distinction on any of their material that indicates that group text messages are not included in the backups. After 1 month, I finally received this response: "We have verified your order information, your situation meets our company's refund policy condition. We will handle refund service for you. Please wait patiently." that was on July 11,2022. On July 19,2022, I asked for the status of the refund. On August 1,2022, I received a response telling me that they wanted to do further troubleshooting and gave me detailed instructions on what to do to provide them the logs needed to troubleshoot the problem. The problem with their detailed instructions was it requesting logs for the FonePaw Data Recovery product which is not what I purchased or even mentioned in any of my communications. This company should NOT be allowed to exist based on their lack of knowledge of their products and more importantly their HORRIBLE customer service.

I purchased this to help recover data from my husband's old phone that crashed. It did not work at all. I had reached out to fonepaw to get a refund and they completely turned it down. I would NOT recommend them to anyone I know. It was a huge waste of money and the company does not back up its guarantee.
Unexpectedly, I got a full refund as of 7/23/20. Don't know why. Never thought they'd do it after fighting me on it for 70+ days. At least they finally did the right thing. This company still derserves 0 stars after the way they treated me. It's like taking a test and you improved from 0 of 100 questions right to 5 of 100 answers right. That grade is still a bad F! I got the refund eventually, but they were still extremely rude and dismissive. Worst customer service of my life by far. I say "they" but really, I worked with only one person. FONEPAW IS A SCAM. I tried to get help from them for the technical malfunctions of the screen recorder I bought from FonePaw for 70 days. I emailed with EMILY WATSON from *******@fonepaw.zendesk.com in about 40 emails and in customer support tickets I submitted on fonepaw.com/contact. She cheated me out of my money, and worse, she sneakily lied, deceived and led me on, trying to tire me out until I gave up on all of our communications. She didn't even have the decency to admit it. I'm going to warn everyone I should about FonePaw. To protect them, I'll tell them to never buy anything from FonePaw. EMILY WATSON at FonePaw is a liar and a thief. She is a swindler and a coward. I hope she quits her job and finds another where she doesn't willfully hurt people for a living. She's a horrible employee. I hope there are decent people working at FonePaw and that she's not a common representation of the other employees at FonePaw.
But after reading others reviews about FonePaw, I believe the whole company is likely led by crooks who are out to steal your money and time. After weeks of trying to get a straight answer from them, they refused to answer my simple yes or no question. "Will you give me the refund I am eligible to receive or break the FonePaw Refund Policy and not refund me?". Emily Watson at FonePaw never answered this question even though I asked and emailed her multiple times over several weeks. She would respond to my emails, but never answer my questions or respond to other subjects I brought up in the messages. She always tried to wear me down so I'd give up. Dragging the pretend help on and on. She was extremely rude and condescending. She thought I didn't know she was cheating me. Even though I called her out on it at least a couple times, she'd still pretend she was caringly trying to help, treating me like an idiot. She's a coward for not being forthright. I wanted the refund of course, but more than anything, I wanted to be treated with respect, courtesy, kindness. I was her customer for heaven's sake! She could've at least been straight with me and said no, we won't refund you. She dragged me on like this for weeks and weeks. I never got the refund even though my circumstances clearly applied to their own company refund policy. I provided what they asked for and followed their directions. And they only used my compliance as a method to deceive me longer. It was a cruel, long con.
If you're considering being a FonePaw customer, don't ever give them your money and run for dear life! Even if you bought something from them and it works, whenever you'd need maintenance or customer support for other reasons, the way they treat and communicate with their customers is abominable! FonePaw should be ashamed.
