Your purse is considered your personal item and EVERYTHING else you pay for. $77. For an item that met their personal item requirements and weighed ten pounds. I am disgusted and dismayed. Fly West Jet or Porter. Cheaper.
Loved my experience! I was surprised by the comfort level for a low-cost flight. We took other flights after (other companies) and had less leg room in regular airlines.
The staff was super kind and helpful. I would definitely recommend.
Obviously, this is a low-cost option: one should not expect the same level of service as a flag carrier like Air Canada, but you are paying a lot less too. To me, it makes sense.
I would definitely fly with Flair again!
While Flair airline may appear to offer budget-friendly options, they often tack on additional fees for seemingly minor things such as baggage weight or size. This can quickly add up and make their supposedly cheap flights not so cheap after all. Therefore, I would not recommend Flair airline to anyone looking for a hassle-free and affordable flying experience.
Flair airlines canceled our flight 3 hours before the flight, they didn't refund the money (more than 900$), worst experience ever!
Avoid this airline at all costs. They find ways to charge more money at every chance they get. My wife and I travelled together, yet our seats were assigned at opposite ends of the airplane. We tried to switch the seats as there were MANY to choose from, but they wanted an additional 50$ plus another check-in charge for the baggage. Even though we already paid the bagged check-in fee, which is $190 by the way. Canada Airline is $65 and for military it is free. Definitely going with them next time.
One- Why would you separate a couple travelling together? We just got married too.
Two- My wife has ASD and a major social anxiety disorder, and was placed between two complete strangers. There were two free seats next to me. This is completely unacceptable and slimy.
What a disappointment.
I experienced the same issues as many others. They charge for seats even when couples are flying together, suggesting a deliberate strategy to increase costs. This practice seems intentional and raises concerns about fair treatment for passengers. The dimensions for personal luggage are smaller compared to other airlines. It feels like an attempt to extract more money from passengers, which is disappointing and seems misleading
Flair's advertised low fares can be deceiving, as they often employ questionable marketing tactics to attract more passengers and then hit them with additional charges during the boarding process. These additional fees are often related to luggage that supposedly doesn't meet their specifications, even if you're carrying a small bag. It's essential to exercise extra caution when flying from Abbotsford airport, as the crew there has a reputation for being unprofessional and seemingly intent on extracting more money from passengers by claiming that their personal items don't fit within their measuring tools. When passengers attempt to voice their concerns or complaints, they are often met with disrespectful behavior from the airline staff.
Flight was cancelled twice after being delayed over 3 hours both times. Waste of a day for everyone flying. No heads up but other airlines cancelled with enough time to not waste a day of travel. Very poor communication at the gate. Poor communication between airline, airport, and employees. Will never fly with them again
I recently had a flight with Flair Airlines, and my experience was highly unsatisfactory. In the first leg of my journey, the flight was delayed by more than 2.5 hours. This delay inconvenienced me and other passengers significantly. To compound the issue, in the second leg of my journey, Flair Airlines took off without me and eight other passengers, leaving us stranded at the airport. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Flair Airlines
Experienced two unexpected delays with Flair Airlines, resulting in significant inconvenience. Disappointed with the service and punctuality, the organizational management appears to face significant challenges and may benefit from improvements. Rated 1.5 stars based on the frustrating travel experience.
I gave them a rating of 1 star for 2 reasons: 1) That is the minimum stars to have this published. 2) The plane did not crash! Took them on January 20, returned on Feb.2 If you like tiny legroom, non-reclining seats, no power outlets, tons of delayed and cancelled flights, horrible customer service, waiting on the phone for more than 1 hour, non-knowledgeable phone agents, paying exhorbitant fees for carry-on & checked luggage, then this is the airline that is PERFECT for you. They had planes seized last year for non-payment to their suppliers, so if you have a voucher or reservation from them, good luck using it. They will be out of business within a very short period of time. A pony express will get you to your destination faster than Flair. I guess Flair stands for: Frequently Late And Is Repugnant!
I will NEVER use this airline again. It was absolute hell from start to finish. They have massive lines to check in, with everyone who gets up to the desk being asked to re-pack their bags right there. So everyone's really stressed with all their belongings out all over the place right from the get go. When you finally get up to the desk, they threaten to charge you for checking in, and say you can avoid this by using their check-in app. So you have to stand off to the side and struggle with this app that absolutely does not work. They charge $80 to check a bag, and they also charge you for your carry on bags, which they invariably make you unpack and re-pack so they can fit into these ridiculously small test compartments. I had a flight with a layover in Vancouver, and they made me pay that $80 twice because it was a long layover. At the gate, it's the same story. Everyone stressed out, being forced to pay extra fees, unpacking and repacking. On the flight, you don't even get water.
Flair website is your worst nightmare…2 of us spent days trying to book, each time we tried, price went up. Eventually booked thru 3 rd party. The information for 2 people was incorrect each time info was entered. Cannot speak to a person, just robot, phone lines tied up for hours. Multiple emails sending verification of input go unheeded. Can't imagine what will happen on flight day! Tickets already bought and paid for!
So first trip Edmonton to Vancouver delayed 4 hours, I get to the front desk staff were rude and unhelpful pointing to an online check in app with an attitude of disdain. Ok not disenfranchised yet BUT then my return flight back had a 12 hour delay which is bad enough but no text to inform me no email, nothing. I would never use again, west jet from now on. Absolute joke, rude incompetence, never again!
They will change your seats last minute and customer service will just give you the excuse that the system automatically did it and they are powerless to do anything about it. My wife was pregnant and it was important for us to stay together in the case she needed some assistance. Flair Airlines attendants didn't do anything to assist us. In the end we had to go around asking people to see if someone would be willing to switch seats. I would not recommend this for anybody. They will suddenly change things on you. Plus they have hidden fees like luggage or carry on bags. I also overheard passengers that they were delayed 10 hours with one of their flights.
Hey there. If you do not have the gumption to take your own life, book with Flair airlines. All your dealings with them will put you over the edge. Like a horse that has to be put down, you will wish it could all just end, quickly and painlessly, rather than flailing about in customer service purgatory where you wait for up to 6 hours on hold, are cut off after waiting, and then follow up with multiple emails and text messages, all of which are ignored. Book with Flair - you'll wish you had that bottle of arsenic and those straight razors close by...
So, what it really means a 'low fare' with Flair airlines? Very high probability your checked luggage will be lost and never returned to you. Mine was lost on the flight coming from Montreal to Vancouver. It's been 19 days now, and they still can't localize it. Four other passengers of that same flight lost there luggage as well. If you ever decide to travel with this company, make sure you have no checked luggage, only hand luggage.
This flight attendant was nasty! She had a horrible attitude, kept rolling her eyes at little kids on the flight and threatened to kick me off the plane for no reason because I very quickly gave my dog water. She was also breathing heavily and bumping into my seat constantly.
Abysmal customer service, my father, dying of cancer, deteriorated faster than what the doctors suspected. Even after calling them, they actively refused any accommodation or alteration to flights. It was more expensive to cancel the flights then how expensive they were in the first place. No expectations to policy, despite my father dying of cancer. Use this airline at your won risk, they don't see you as human your just a wallet.
Flair airlines only offers travel credit if you cancel your flight. What they don't tell you (anywhere on their website) is how to use it and how painful they'll make it for you.
You HAVE to call in. But calling in takes hours till they finally get to you. And they only guarantee the price online for 15 minutes. They do not actually credit your account or provide you any reasonable means to access the credit.
Their ONLY draw is the low price. But considering the hours I would take getting my credit back I would consider that I lost all that money starting on hold. They should have a credit system connected to your account, it wouldn't take long to implement that on a website. Considering that they do not provide any information on how to use that credit and how difficult they make I have to assume malicious intent. Their is no reason it should be those difficult. They know what their doing and they are just trying to stay from you. Do not use this airline, the one draw is just a cover to screw you later.
If their website has an error, be warned, that your credit card will be charged double and they will not refund you. Robots will email and calling in is a long wait for absolutely no resolution. (Prior to check-in, I paid for my luggage and seat selection and they rang it through twice)
Answer: Terrible. ON hold for at least 30 minutes, and no help when you do finally get them.
Answer: Total scam. Wonder if the aircraft will actually get to thr destination on all thr "bandaids" they use to keep it together. And expect extortion rates at the gate for a personal item that will easily fit under the seat in front of you.
