There are LOTS of bad reviews on here about Flair and I understand it's frustrating that you have to pay extra for a seat selection or baggage etc. But this is common now with nearly all low cost airlines. It gives people the option to travel cheaper and the option to add in any extras they require. When booking you just have to research and see if it's more cost effective to book with a more expensive flight initially.
There are also lots of reviews about flight changes from AM to PM etc. I understand this is inconvenient but flight paths change and airports have to accommodate accordingly for all flights. And while it may be annoying you can generally move plans around to accommodate for the day. Though, my flight has been changed by a whole week! I had booked a flight with Flair Airlines back in December from Puerto Vallarta to Vancouver on 29th April. Then 2 weeks ago I received a notification to say that the flight had changed to the 4th May. This obviously is not convenient being that it's a whole week later.
I'm already in Mexico so it's not like I can just cancel my trip all together.
There was no way to respond to them via the email so for the last 2 weeks I have been trying the online chat, Facebook and other email addresses that I have found for Flair but I'm getting no where. I need to be back in Canada by the 28th April so I'm looking to see if they can still provide the original flight (I have no idea why it changed). Or if they can ideally book me with another airline or provide a full refund. The annoying thing is also that I paid a fair price for this flight and now because the flight is just over a week away prices have tripled so if I have to book another flight I'm going to loose out big time. If anyone has a form of contact for flair please let me know!
My worst experience with airlines. Don't waste your time and money. Staff is unwilling to provide any support, they charge you for everything extra.
I tried to book two tickets to Vancouver from Regina, and two return tickets. The website gave me the wrong return date. Immediately within 3 hours of booking the flight I began the process of trying to cancel the flight within the 24 hour time limit stated on the web site for a full refund. I sent flair air approximately 8 emails set up by the web site to cancel the flight. The website claimed they received these emails but over 48 hours later I still have had no contact from Flair via email, text, or phone. I tried emailing them many times and the emails were rejected from their servers. I was put on hold for 2.5 hours and 1.5 hours. An agent picked up after these long waits and immediately hung up both times while I was trying to say hello to them. In desperation I tried to change the flight without canceling first the flight first as I could not get an reply to any email, text, or phone call. The web site messed up my flights completely while trying to change the return flight date, now instead of a flight to Regina to Vancouver, then return from Vancouver and back to Regina, they booked me for two flights coming back to Regina from Vancouver! They charged my credit card for over 50.00 for this mistake on their behalf. One of the complaint venues they have listed is the exact same number in which they will put you on hold for hours and then hang up on you as soon as you have a connection! I am in the process of trying to get my money back with the Better Business Bureau, The Canadian Travel Agency, and with my credit card company. I have screen shot all my phone times, emails, and web site forms that I filled out repeatedly within the 24 hour time limit. I was forced to rebook the flights with West Jet. This company owes me close to 600.00,2 days of my time, and a 500.00 missed overtime shift from work because I was trying to unsuccessfully communicate with a human being on the other end of the texts, emails, and phone calls in order to cancel a flight because of an original wrong return date.
Flight was canceled by flair and they didn't rescheduled any flight for us. I try to reach them for refund but they refuse to give me the money back.
This company is a bunch of gangsters. They doublecharged me and admitted it but I cannot get my refund.
I cleared security there was no flight posted so first I went on their website using free wifi to speak with an agent they could not tell me the terminal or gate my flight was leaving on and told me to see a gate agent which I tried to attempt but flair has no agents at the airport I was traveling with then as my flight was boarding I paid a bunch of roaming to call them to ask which terminal to go to and they said they didn't know. At this point i asked them how do you not know where your own plane is flying out and their customer service was less then helpful. Ended up speaking with a Broward County sheriff who got on the radio found out it was terminal 3. I then jogged from terminal 1 to terminal 3 to try and get on a flight that should be almost done boarding after a good run and having to clear a different security ran through that terminal caught the flight as it was boarding the last few people,because it was delayed. These flights serve nothing of any substanamce and hoping to catch food at the layover in Ottawa I had 30 min to clear customs and reclear security then run through another terminal to catch a flight honestly this was a very affordable flight but i will never use flair again not only could their unimformed customer service have cost me a flight they offer no help what so ever to their customers on the flight from Ottawa the head flight attendant named Andrew discriminated against a person wearing g a medical sling telling him he needs to take it off for take off he was short with anyone who spoke with him often interrupting people asking him questions then telling them they didn't understand what he was saying when they were trying to question them
The most disrectful employees today a woman naned Kathy was super rude and with too much attituded. Do NOT use this airline their employees are too disrespecful and give HORRIBLE customer service.

Charged me $73 for a "personal item"
(i had a bag that was 4.5kg and the policy they have is a limit of 7kg) - I guess they all of a sudden cant read numbers.
The staff at the gate were very rude and unprofessional as they were not willing to comply nor listen to anything I had to say as I was trying to read them their OWN POLICY.
One flight attendant (who was unwilling to give me his name nor show his name-tag) was rude, unprofessional, and VERY RACIST. As I was trying to wait in a empty seat to go to the washroom as there was a big line up, he came up to me and started yelling in my face for me to get back to my seat causing a scene, told me he didn't care what i was sitting there for, yet every other white person was allowed to get up and go lay down in empty 3 seat rows and sleep (which multiple did for the whole reminder of the flight). As I brought it to his attention he did not care and just kept getting louder and louder and kept telling me this none of my business and he is SPECIFICALLY TALKING ONLY TO ME.
This airline staff doesn't even know their own policies, hands down are the WORST OF WORST, they worry about the wrong things. They hire a overweight 300lbs+ racist to board the plane and have him represent the company, they worry why my school bag isn't round or thin enough, they worry about picking on people of colour instead of worrying about hiring people with discipline and honest work ethic.
I purchased aticket for my son. It changed the name at the end to the card holder name ( my name) without any prior information. So rather than my son name the ticket appeared with my name. I contacted support to help. They asked me 99+ TAX to change the name. I asked the to provie me what is their policy an dgive me in writing. I told them this is not my mistake...but they mention it doesnot matter. After some srgument they said now we cannot change name. I asked support to cancel my tiket, let me know how much is refund and i will use that to purchase a new ticket. The new ticket cost me twice what I purchased initially. I didnot argued his time but soon they mention it can be under your nameonly becuase you initially bought it in your name. Im still puzzled how this air line is working. Similar issue happend to my family freind going fron vancouver to toronto. This is a SCAM Airline. We have start asking our fiends and social circle to avoid it and i will inform all community to make sure avoid as much as possible. My money is gone I had to buy another ticket with Air Canada...I learned my lesson...hard way.

So we booked 5 tickets for me and my family from YYZ TO YXX. We get to the airport everyone's checking in and getting their boarding passes. Comes my turn I provide my drivers license with the SERVICE ONTARIO RENEWAL PAPER. Which clearly states the drives licence is valid WITH THE PAPER. The one guy who was doing our check in said no we can't accept this, then I provided my health card and my social insurance number along with my student ID he said no we need a drivers license. Mind you out flight was set to leave at 11:20 and we got to the airport because of covid very early at 7:45. So then I tell him I have my citizenship paper at home if he can let me go because I provided him with 3-4 GOVERMENT ids already. He goes yeah. I UBERED home payed 90$ back and forth just for him to look at the paper he told me to go get and say NO. My whole family went on vacation and I was stranded at the airport and had to pay another $45 to Uber home. The next day I went to service Canada at 8:30 AM when they opened. To ask if there was any other paper I needed theyre like we've never heard this and this is the only paper we provide. So again I came to the airport because flair had another flight the following morning. TELL ME WHY THE GUY AT THE CHECK IN GATE WITH THE SAME ID AND SAME PAPER WORK ALLOWED ME TO BE CHECKED IN, in the matter of 10 MINUTES. But I had to pay an additional 350$ for a one way to YVR now from where I have to drive 80Km to get to my family. I will be reporting FLAIR under the "air passages protection regulation" because NO ONE EVER SHOULD GO THROUGH bull$#*! like this.
My 20 year old son saids something is trash when something is bad. Flair airlines is trash.
I was flying back from Toronto to Vancouver and was checking in via the Flair website. When I got to the seat selection, it showed any available seat had a zero cost to it. So I chose a seat and then it showed me it actually had a cost to the seat. So I tried different seats every single seat had a cost to it. I didn't want to pay the fee so I phoned customer support (you can actually find the number if you keep searching).
I told her about the problem and she told me she couldn't fix it. So I ask you (for the 1st time), is this their corporate strategy or incompetence? Corporate strategy to get you pay (for the seat) or incompetence. She told me I had to go to the flair counter at the Pearson to get the problem solved. The support person told me she made notes and counter agent would see it and fix the problem. So I had to leave an hour earlier (than my usual time to leave for the airport) to see the counter agent.
When I got to see an agent, she told me I had to signin to the flair site to prove I had a problem. Otherwise a $25 service fee would be charged. I was pissed because:
- does the counter agent think I coming to see her to waste my time and her time
- also the support person said everything would be ok and I wouldn't have to do anything.
Again corporate strategy or incompetence? Corporate strategy - trying to charge the service fee
So I signed in and she saw problem. After a minute, she said she couldn't fix the problem.
Again corporate strategy or incompetence? Corporate strategy - say the problem can't be fixed so I would pay the seat fee; incompetence - she never actually had to fix a problem because most of people would just pay the fee.
I didn't back down so she asked another agent who told her how to fix the problem. In the end, I wasted 1.5 hours for a problem which should never have happened.
Finally corporate strategy (get you to pay more) or incompetence (don't fix things to get you to pay more).

Le 14 juillet, de Ottawa à Montréal, deux passagers on est embarqué l'avion avec 2 sac à dos et un petit sac à main sans aucun frais supplémentaire et sans aucun problème mais aujourd'hui le 23 juillet, en revenant à Ottawa de Winnipeg, les mêmes deux passagers avec les mêmes items ( 2sac à dos et 1 sac à main), on m'a chargé 62$ pour les mêmes items!
Maintenant 2 problèmes
1) Canada, c'est un pays bilingue! Je peux pas bien parler anglais et étonnant personne francophone parmi les employés de Flair à Winnipeg! C'est catastrophique.
2) pourquoi le même airline, mais les différentes règles dans les différentes villes!
Alors pourquoi pas de frais en allant et oui en revenant?
Le comportement d'une employée qui s'appelle Mélissa à Winnipeg et la directrice de Flair était vraiment désagréable malgré je leur ai dit que je suis pas capable de me débrouiller avec anglais!
Et quand j'ai essayé d'expliquer en anglais concernant pourquoi pas de frais à Ottawa mais 62$ de frais à Winnipeg avec les mêmes articles, la manager m'a menacé si je continue à disputer, elle va me recharger de plus!
C'est une fraude pour compenser le frais des sièges vides dans l'avion parce que la moitié de l'avion, c'est sans passagers et je vous demande le remboursement de 62$ que j'ai payé pour rien!
Je suis pas contente du tout avec Flair et c'était ma première expérience et je vais pas recommander cet airline à mes autres amis!

Answer: Total scam. Wonder if the aircraft will actually get to thr destination on all thr "bandaids" they use to keep it together. And expect extortion rates at the gate for a personal item that will easily fit under the seat in front of you.
