These watches will basically only last about a year before completely breaking down. Both my wife and I had Fitbits that have stopped working as they should.

What good is this device if it can't read your heart rate? They offered me a 35% discount for a new Fitbit but after this happening again on my 2nd Fitbit Versa 2, I'm out.

While it might cost more, I'm just going to get an Apple Watch as I can easily say those are higher quality.

Run away, it's cheaper for a reason.

Terrible Service
May 28, 2023

I tried complaining to them about their adds because there was a curse word in them, but they kept talking about the watches. I'm mad now. They deserve their rating.

After many hundreds of dollars spent on new and then discounted replacements, my wife is left without a smart watch because her Versa 3 and 4s - and the discounted replacements for each - all died right after the 45 day return window.
FitBit got somewhere around 500 bucks from us and we got nothing but dysfunctional products.
Customer service is a total joke - don't expect them to care one bit about you or your issues with them selling garbage products.
STAY AWAT FROM FITBIT PRODUCTS!

Refusing my recall. Then they won't respond back like they say they will. This is a nightmare of a company. Nobody knows what they are saying or doing. Bad business model. I bought a product that is a fire Hazzard that can burn your skin on the wrist up.

I owned Fitbits since they first came out. In 2021, updated to the new Sense. Over the course of 14 months, it failed 3 times. They replace it twice. The last time, I was told I could get a discount if I purchase a new one. Seriously? With the replacement cycle, I got 11 months of use out of it. But silly me, after tossing my Fitbit and deleting the app, I forgot I had a Premium subscription. So it renewed. No discount for that, their policy is no refunds. Be sure to read their policies, because no matter how bad their they fail, you are stuck. I've NEVER seen such a poor customer service company.

Broken strap - Garbage product
April 19, 2023

I owned the FitBit Ace 3 and the strap has broken twice in eight months. I went to the FitBit site for a replacement and there are pages and pages of complaints about people's straps breaking, FitBit offering a warranty, and then refusing to replace their strap for a variety of reasons.

Well, I decided to apply for the warranty, chatted with someone live and sent them all the pictures and documentation the requested. They told me they would review my claim, ended the chat, then THREE MINUTES LATER sent me an email stating my warranty was denied. They didn't want to deal with an upset customer so they pretended to not know my warranty was denied while I was on chat with them.

They denied my warranty because they claim Amazon isn't an authorized seller and I should have bought it directly from FitBit, even though they have their official store on Amazon selling their devices!

FitBit is a horrendous company that makes garbage products and takes people's money. Avoid!

Worst customer support
April 16, 2023

I've been a loyal customer of Fitbit over years, also sent them as gifts to my family and friends. If someone would told me Garmin/other brand is better, I'd defend Fitbit because I loved the mobile app and how it presented sleep, activity and other data - so user friendly. A couple of years ago, my device's band broke and they sent me a replacement. I paid back with purchasing Premium membership. That was when Fitbit was independent and tried to keep customer happy.

A couple of weeks ago I started to see another issue with Luxe not syncing part of the data to my iPhone. I attempted to fix it using resources online (re-install app, restart device, etc) - nothing helped. Only then I contacted the customer support and after 3 hours of chatting through online chat, twitter account and over the call, I wasn't able to resolve the issue. All of these reps gave me different reasons for what's causing the issue and steps to address it. I requested to be connected to a supervisor and was told they'd be contacting me within 3 days. It's been almost a week, not word from them. What a waste of time and a disappointing experience.

Work week hustle
March 31, 2023

I've been using fitbit for a few years now and I've enjoyed the work week. Hustle that's what gave me the motivation to get up and move by looking at other people in my group and seeing that they were getting ahead of me. It wouldn't make me get-up-and-go now. That has been taken away and I can't see what I'm doing what anyone else is doing and I'm losing interest. It needs to be fixed. I want the workweek hustle back.

Dont buy fitbit charge 5
March 27, 2023

Dont buy fitbit charge 5

I followed the advice to take off when showering and even did not submerge in water.
It still died in 6 months and I was out of luck since without receipt, fitbit will Not warranty.
They have my device tracking that shows I used daily for 6 months and then stopped logging / working.
I believe a company given todays tracking should stand behind its product, needing a receipt is just a way to lose more customers. I had a fitbit 4 and now 5 and will NOT buy any more fitbit's.

Not what it Seems
March 14, 2023

Fitbit is taking away challenges and adventures along with trophies and open groups these are features that are used by a lot of users including myself therefore I canceled my Premium and won't purchase another one they are falsely advertising that fitbit has challenges and adventures which is going away on March 27th.

As of March 27,2023 Fitbit is canceling the challenges, the feature that distinguishes it from other Fitbit trackers and smartwatches. Fitbit.com is still advertising these features to unsuspecting customers and premium memberships are not being refunded if cancelled. Many users have the premium membership for the bingo challenges. Google has bought Fitbit for the platform and have introduced the Google Pixel smartwatch (which is being sold now on Fitbit.com). It appears that they will be phasing out Fitbit and push users to their smartwatch. However, Garmin, Apple and Galaxy watches also provide health analytics, track steps and tell time. They all do it better than google pixel such as auto-detect exercises. I will not be investing in any further Fitbit products or google pixel. Google/Fitbit is removing the features like challenges, adventures and open group which provide connectivity and social motivation.

Don't waste your money
February 26, 2023

2 Fitbit charge 5 's in less than 2 years. The first one it was about 3 months in and the heart rate exercise tracking was way off like 190-200 bpm while I was just warming up. After jumping through hoops for 3 weeks with tech support they sent me a new face. That one worked until it didn't, just a few weeks shy of a year. The screen went black after I updated the software and synced it to my new phone.
I contacted support, we tried some resetting etc. to no avail. They sent me an email with no explanation as to why my 11 month old device stopped working. The just said it was out of warranty and sent me a 35% off coupon...read the room Fitbit.your devices are substandard and I'm not buying another just because you gave me a coupon. I will never buy anything from Fitbit again, I've also contacted everyone I recommended Fitbit to. Just get a cheap one from Amazon or spring for an oura ring which I have and love.

12 months
February 7, 2023

Well I have been through three Fitbit devices that have failed within the 12 month period I was success in replacing my Fitbit Versa 2 and 3 within the 12 month period but after the receiving the replacement it again failed within 12 months so this is not a product to be relied upon or to be purchased in the future. I have three consumer friends with similar experience. One star.

Fitbit is inaccurate to say the least
January 26, 2023

I've been using Fitbit for almost a year. I was at my goal weight months ago. My versa 3, and previous versa 2, both have a habit of pausing during workouts. This causes my calorie count and exercise time to be wrong, also it loses my heart rate when I sweat. I'm now at a stage where I am trying to build muscle so I don't look so skinny. Fitbit is only good for losing weight. I get no answers to questions in groups, little to no calorie count for weight workouts, and it constantly reminds me to get my steps in even though I have disabled it in app.

Dont bother buying g one they give u a 2 year warrenty. I have had 4 fitbit devices the first were good. The last 2 are rubbish. I had a charge 2 I think, it went wrong within the 2 year warrenty it would not upload the information with my phone, they said it wasnt a warrenty issue and gave me 40% off a new watch. I wasnt happy but accepted it so I brought the versa 3 within 6 months it would not charge. So I contacted them they sent me a refurbished watch so I contacted them and said I'm not happy. I got a standard email saying they will not change what they have sent me. I dont want a reconditioned watch when I bought a brand new one less that 6 months ago. So I wrote to them saying this. To date they have not responded. The build quality and customer service is clearIy going downhill.
I wouldn't buy recommend fitbit watches now, which I previously have done. Would review it 0 if I could

Worst customer support contact ever?
January 20, 2023

If you ever try to get in contact with Fitbit customer support you know why I put worst customer support ever? Its because you can't contact them so how do you know if they are the worst, can only assume as they make it so difficult to contact support they have to be terrible. The watch was good, but now can't get into my Fitbit account, without account can't sync or set time on watch. Watch is now useless. Used Fitbit for many years but this has really p***** me off, so no more orders from me.

FitBit/Google has started cleaning house on their forum. Anything that appears to be a complaint about how FitBit/Google has handled the release of the Versa 4 and the Sense 2.

They sold the Versa 4 and the Sense 2 smartwatches as next generation when they were actually lite versions of the prior Versa 3 and Sense 1.

They have ghosted any and all calls to "Do the right thing" and open the SDK development section for developers, they have disabled Google assistant, they have disabled the WiFi capabilities, and disabled almost all the third party apps except for a few basic apps.

There have been calls for class action law suits or just a plan out boycott of everything FitBit or Pixel.

I purchased the Versa 2 two yes ago because it said it supported Pandora. However, it rarely worked. This year it's working great, but just got an email notifying me Fitbit is dropping Pandora in March. What a huge disappointment!
