Had the tickets reserved for 2 months so me and my mom could watch this movie and make a mom and daughter day out of it. Come to find out the show had been canceled because the auditorium it was going to be in was down and so I try to get refunded for the tickets and fandango didn't want to refund me after I had called and complained. Sense they and the theater are linked together somehow they should have sent an email out saying the show had been canceled and everyone was going to be refunded. Will not be going to the theater anymore and will not be dealing with fandango.com anymore as they completely ruined this day for me and my mom. Should not have had to deal with this after having the tickets reserved for 2 months for the movie we were going to see. Very upset with these people and I hope they end up paying for it in the end
Used the App, spent $75 to gain a measly $5 reward to learn it had already expired a less than a month later when I tried to purchase for another movie. Talked to customer service, useless, nothing they can do. Basically, if you can't afford more than one movie a month, too bad, screw you!
What do I need Fandango for? Nothing.
Purchased tix Via their app to the wrong theater, my mistake yes, however I quickly noticed the error and clicked the refund/exchange link. It wouldn't allow me to refund or exchange due to it being too close to the movie start time. We bought tix to the right theater for an hour later as that showing had sold out during this whole fiasco. I chatted with a rep and later had to also email for a follow up and was told I wouldn't be given a refund for the same reason the link listed-it was beyond the limit-so anyone who purchases within 30 minutes of the movie is stuck with it-no refunds, no exchanges. Don't sell them that close to the showing if that's the case.
We bought tickets at 10:29, intending to purchase them for a 10:30 showing the next week but bought them for a 10:30 showing that day on accident. Within seconds we tried to change the date but the showtime had already started. A complete waste of 35 dollars that we can't get back. We had to wait until the following day to talk to a representative. I was hoping if not for a refund to at least be heard (I strongly believe there should be at least a 5 minute window to cancel an order for any business.) Instead of getting any sort of explanation as to why the app works in such a dysfunctional way I left the phone call dissatisfied, ignored, and disrespected. Don't waste your time or money and just buy your tickets in person.
Fandango sold us a movie in Spanish. The movie theater is telling us we have to go through fandango to get a refund. We purchased new tickets because the movie was getting sold out, & because we didn't get a refund before the movie started they will not refund us.
Bought tickets through Fandango. I got to the movies late due to traffic. Theatre, Alamo in downtown Brooklyn, would not admit, because they said after 15 minutes, no admittance. Theater was willing to refund, but tickets were purchased through Fandango. I called and spoken to 2 representatives, including a supervisor and none were willing to refund 6 purchased tickets. They were very rude and unfriendly. Please do not buy tickets for movies or anything else through Fandango. Customer service is reprehensible and they steal your money.

If you are looking for a way to completely waste your money and allow a money laundering ring to continue to exist, then please by all means use this service. However if you are looking for any other outcome I would suggest using any other method to make reservations, acquire tickets or generally be treated in a manner one would expect from law abiding citizens.
Worst movie app out there don't waste your time customer service is horrible ticket I won't ever use
Cinema would not accept confirmation number. Fandango refused to give me a refund. WTF. Stay away.from using this service.
On Monday I ordered tickets to see a movie for Wednesday (today). Today I go to check the tickets to double check them and in horror I realize they were for Monday! They cannot give me a refund even though it was them who scammed me. My issue got escalated but I doubt anything will happen. I will NOT use Fandango again because of this.
I was given fandango gift cards. I have tried numerous times on numerous days to purchase tickets and the site always errors out. Their site is VERY poor as it is overloaded and won't allow you to buy tickets. The customer service was no help...they just said to keep trying. I recommend that no one purchase gift cards or tickets from fandango due to thier inability to serve their customers.
Gave us wrong seats, gave us wrong movie type from what we paid for. Convenience fee is a ripoff...and is terrible. We got wrong seats and had a theater with subtitles only...what the hell.
I purchased tickets through Fandango. Then when I arrived at the theater and scanned my card at the kiosk, it said transaction could not be processed at the kiosk and to go to the ticket counter. I went to the ticket counter and there was no one there. As it was time for the movie to start, I had to buy tickets at the kiosk. I ended up buying four tickets (two unusable and undelivered) through Fandango and two from the theater directly). When I got home, I tried to request a refund. I couldn't get a refund because the showtime had passed. I chatted with a customer service agent, but Isabelle G couldn't help because "the showtime had passed". First, what was the most logical thing for me to do? Make my kid miss the movie while I try and straighten things out with the theater and your customer service team? No. So really the "after the showtime" policy is a special kind of stupid. Second, why even have customer service if they cannot make judgement calls or escalate. I managed a call/chat center for several years. I can tell you the most effective customer service representatives are empowered and look at issues as an opportunity to build long term relationships with customers. Not to escalate the level of irritation. What is the point if they just repeat the policy that is delivered by the automated responses? It is unhelpful and a waste of time. To be clear I will not use this service again.
Their ticket confirmation number that they sent to my email didn't work. Then they refused to refund the ticket because the movie had already started. Don't use fandango.
I went to order tickets to the theater near my house and they gave me tickets half way across America in Illinois. When getting my refund they did not refund the "convienece" fee of $4. Nothing about this was convenient. Never again
Fandango used to be a great way to book a movie and seat in advance, but now they want to con us all by syphoning convenience fee charges out of us customers pockets! Useless and pointless Fandango VIP accounts who just want to steal money from us. Completely taboo and scandalous on Fandango. You should be ashamed of yourself for being greedy.
Business policy refuses to help customers! I accidentally scheduled a movie for a Thursday when I wanted to surprise my wife with a movie on Friday. When I learned of the mistake on Friday morning, I called Fandango and admitted my mistake and requested the same movie, at the same theater, and to even pay for the differential if needed. Fandango policy refuses exchanges after the airing of the movie. I argued that I never turned in my ticket, that it's known my tickets were never used because they weren't scanned at the theater, and, again, was willing to pay a differential. Fandango said there was nothing they could do. I'm very dissatisfied as I am now lost the funds for a service I didn't participate in. It's taking my money without confirming the trade of services. I immediately uninstalled the Fandago app and will not use them again.
This was terrible customer service! The email group got back in time however said no refund or exchange could happen after movie time has passed even though I placed the order to cancel before movie time with email time stamped. Movie needed to be cancelled due to something out of my control (friend cancelled date). DO NOT BUY TICKETS ON THIS FORUM. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
I only gave one star because I can't go any lower. This is the first time I ever tried to use this app. I bought a ticket to see the new Mario movie. When I completed the order, I noticed it was for a theatre clear across the city 11 miles away instead of the one in my area. I canceled the order and reapplied using the credit, and this time I made sure to select the theatre in my area. Despite this, it gave me the same one 11 miles away, so I decided to go there instead. I got there with just a few minutes to spare, but parking was so bad, I sat in a line in a parking building for 20 minutes before giving up. I immediately tried to get a refund or exchange, but the link kept redirecting me to me to a bogus website that asked for a user name and password. Anytime I clicked on the forgot password link, it would claim to have sent an e-mail or reset it, but it never did.
I spent the next two days trying to refund my ticket or at least get a credit to see another movie. It claimed to have sent an e-mail with a credit, but I never got it, and when I tried to buy another ticket, no credit came up. Also, it set it up for the same movie theatre even though I selected the one in my area again. Clearly I didn't go through with the purchase. I finally found contact info through google and sent an e-mail. They told me to call instead, and gave a phone number to call. This one is different than the one I actually found on google and actually worked. I had tried calling a number earlier, and the number was no good.
The lady on the phone said their policy was clear, and that they gave no refunds or exchanges after the movie showing. I explained that I didn't want to go to that particular movie theater and that I tried to refund it as soon as I saw I was going to miss it. She just doubled down and said it was their policy. Really!? If it was clearly the policy, then why did Fandango have me freakin' call someone instead of just telling me through an e-mail. That was a total waste of time!
This is the first time I ever tried to use this service, and I just lost $18. I eventually went to the theater in my area, and bought a new ticket there just to see the movie. Stay away from this service!
...because thier customer service sucks. Ive been a customer for over a decade and never had to use the customer service...wont go in2 to much detail but they refused to issue me a exchange on some tickets that were NEVER USED...I later bought advanced tickets from the theatre directly...convience fees were a couple of bucks cheaper and it hit me if I ever had a issue I can take it up with the theate directly...there is really NO NEED for fandango...#fandangosucks... #f...fandango
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Fandangos customer service is not good so I wish you luck. Thank you for your service, hope this helps Rose
Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
Buy movie tickets in advance, find movie times, watch trailers, read movie reviews, and more at Fandango.
