This platform has become overpriced in the last 2 years. I used to love eyeconic and use it as my first choice for insurance redemption but now its a back up due to the prices going up by what seems like 50 to 100 percent an item.
I used to love eyeconic and would make it my first stop shop but now it's a last resort when I have remaining benefits. Every time I log on prices are higher then the last more than double when I first started using and hikes year over year.
The prices for contact lens on eyeconic (only in network retailer for my vsp) are extremely overpriced compared to other retailers
My last order experience was for my annual supply of contacts. It was very quick and i received my shipment sooner than the estimate.
Had to reupload the photo of my prescription multiple times about a week after I had tried to order which was a bit frustrating. The text was readable and there was contact info for my doctor if they needed to verify what I had put in the drop downs.
I had a large remaining balance in my insurance and it wasn't carried over into my shopping cart, so this website said that I couldn't use any of my insurance balance. When I called, I spoke to a really excellent customer service agent who was able to manually carry over my insurance balance so that I was able to actually purchase the contacts using my insurance.
Shopping for my new prescription glasses at the Eyeconic website was the best and easiest process. I didn't have to face walls loaded with hundreds of eyeglass frames. On Eyeconic's website I was able to narrow my search by style, shape and frame color. And uploading my new prescription was super easy. Delivery was very fast also, It was a pleasant and painless shopping experience.
I like the options of being able to search for glasses by face shape, brand, style or color. It makes the process much easier than going to an eyeglass store and staring at a wall displaying hundreds of frames.
Ive used eyeconic for several years to order custom prescription sunglasses and the process is very easy. They provide all the tools necessary to fit, view and even define pupillary distance for your prescription!
Never knew insurance could get worse until I had VSP. Now, I can only use my benefits on a limited selection of frames. Pricing is high for frames, lenses, and contacts compared to everything available on the internet (or at Costco). I went to one of their in person offices last year, it was the worst experience I've ever had in an optical office. Really hate that my company chose Eyeconic/VSP. I doubt they'll publish this review.
The try-on feature was slow on a lot of the frames. Many did not work at all. I would have enjoyed the shopping experience more if I could have seen the details of the arms better. A filter would have been nice for "decorative ear piece, or glitter, or rhinestones.
Seamless. Selected frames from wide variety, uploaded my prescription and checked out! It was that simple. I've ordered 6 pair between me and my daughter and have been happy with every pair!
Overwhelmed by the process of choosing a pair of glasses, I decided on functionality over style for a quick selection. The pair of frames I selected got the job done, they looked nice on me, and they didn't break the bank.
Easy to use with VSP insurance. I'll probably still end up purchasing another pair of glasses elsewhere as the selection is very limited and did not really appeal to my personal taste. I was thankful to find the one pair for a decent price, but I'm not thrilled about them.
