The company is the worse I have ever dealt with from mistakes on prescriptions to rude customer service to charging multiple times to setting up an auto payment without consent. Avoid this company at any and all cost.
Never ever use this company for prescriptions! Ever! I pulled my prescription from Summit Pharmacy (another online prescription service) to give to Express Scripts, just so I could save $15. I am still waiting for my prescription to be received, and it's been almost 3 WEEKS! Unacceptable. Everytime I call, the tell me it takes "5-7 days". Well it's already been way more than that, and I still don't have it. I will give my future prescriptions back to Summit Pharmacy. Trust me, it's worth the $15 out of pocket.
There's Nothing professional or knowledgeable about their SO-CALLED company. They lie to cover THEIR mistakes, SEND Wrong medication, HOLD LIFE SAVING medication for RANSOM for $20 That YOU DON'T owe because of what they SCREW UP and then Expect you to pay for. THEY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS BEFORE THEY KILL.
Terrible customer service. Trying to establish new prescriptions was impossible. They actually hung up on me. But, you have no choice. If your insurance uses them, you must use them if you want prescription coverage. Therefore, just like any insurance, they really don't care how they treat you.
The sales team is very nice and really will sell you to try them. When you realize they let you run out or you need help with a script, uh oh! The service is worse than a bank card company! First talk to a computer, second, talk to six different people, third, hope you can understand the language they speak, fourth, get no where, fifth, call your doc and explain why you need to have them re issue scripts to your local pharmacy. Buyer Beware of Express Scripts.
If you're a diabetic be aware your diabetes medicine will not be delivered. ONLY the diabetic medication is held longer. Sure wish my allergy medication could keep me out of hospital like the diabetes medication does. Perhaps this is a strategy to expire me to stop serving a diabetic. Screen shot of blood sugar drop from stressful phone call with express scripts trying to get them to send me diabetic medication
Express Scripts refuses to ship my prescription until I get approval from my Doctor (from the same Doctor that prescribed the medication). Express Scripts was happy enough to take my payment but refuses to send the medication. Their policy of requiring approval for an online order shipment is the company's own arbitrary obstacle to ensure they make this process as difficult as possible. Over 2 weeks of waiting and phone calls and still nothing has changed. This company isn't even competent enough to find the correct phone number for a given Doctor.
I have had 2 incidents now of the pharmacy sending me prescriptions after deliberately communicating to the company that I did not want any of their over priced medications sent. Terrible customer service and computer phone system. Use Good Rx
Medication sent requires needles. Sent none advised it had to be a separate RX…didn't bother to ask the dr when having her jump through hoops to even get it approved. Separate complaint customer service is always a challenge to understand when they answer.
An hour on hold trying to get a prescription refilled. It never happened. Unable to comprehend general math and how long a 90 day prescription lasts. Yes, 90 days but can't fill till next week? Someone needs math lessons. Total disappointment. Thanks Walgreens for coming to the rescue.
Express Scripts only cares about money. It does not care about its customers. They constantly harass you to get your prescription drugs through them and they do not take no for an answer. They say they are trying to save you money, but all they care about is making money. Avoid at all costs!
I have been a customer of Express Scripts for a few years because they are who I use through my insurance.
Every time I place an order they $#*! it up some magic how. I place an order, get charged for it, then on the day when my order should be arriving they inform me that the order couldn't be processed. Then I spend an hour plus on the phone trying to figure out why and how I can get my medications THAT DAY. They hire incompetent agents on the phone that dont complete orders or update information when its given. Causing an issue when you need to place a new order. And when they call YOU its someone from goddamn India that cannot be understood then you have to call them and wait on hold to see why the hell they are calling you. There phone lines are also terrible the automated voice is terrible and doesnt understand what you say (Your name/reason for calling) and if you call them expect your call to drop 2 or 3 times before you reach someone.
Express Scripts has a terrible process that doesnt work and they hire people that have no idea what they are doing. I couldnt tell you how many times I have had to go a day or so without my medication because of them $#*!ing up my orders.
If you are using Express Scripts and see this review make your own assumptions. But the only advise I can give you is EVERY time you call in to place an order speak to a manager. They are the only ones who will give you some kind of straight answer and can make things happen.
If you have the ability to use another company besides this one do it. Express Scripts is just hot garbage and they do not deserve my money or insurance money for the job they do.
This is the worst customer service I've ever received. Prescriptions aren't filled in a timely manner, customer service contacts you and doesn't take the information you give them, and the representatives sound incoherent and not at all present while you're talking to them. It's been two weeks since I've been able to fill a simple multivitamin refill for my child express scripts is totally incapable of helping me do so.
When Express Scripts informed me they could no longer provide one of my medications a couple of years ago, I took advantage of the opportunity to move ALL of my prescriptions, not just that one, away from them and to a small local pharmacy. Since that time, I have gotten threatening letters from them if I don't return to allowing them to provide my medications, all of which I have ignored. Like other reviewers have posted, shipments are unpredictable, lame excuses are offered (if you can actually speak with anyone) and, according to them, everyone is to blame for the confusion but them. Consider for a moment how much money insurance companies save every year for prescriptions never filled due to their incompetence and it isn't hard to figure out how they stay in business and why so many insurance companies force you deal with them.
Prescription payments are always messed up you tell me I owe money I don't I've sent checks out two months ago and you say you still haven't gotten them. I'm done dealing with Express scripts they are the worst ever to deal with. I'm going to Walgreens I don't care if it cost me more money my sanity it's better off with Walgreens then with express scripts you people could care less that your system is jacked up.
They haven't covered a single one of my prescriptions and I've spend about 5-10 hours a week for 3 months on the phone with them and my doctors trying to get my medications. If and that's a big IF they happen to cover one of your medications, the script has to be written perfectly how I want it. After 3 failed attempts to get a birth control, I finally found one they covered but they denied it because my doctor wrote it for 1 month with 12 refills and they required 3 months with 4 refills… my doctor is fed up, I'm fed up, I've just started paying out of pocket because my time is worth more than dealing with this.
They don't care about you. Every 3 months when my prescriptions are filled there is always a problem. I have to call, they promise a call back which never happens. This time I'm going away and will run out of one of my medications. They escalated it and today I was told "there is nothing more we can do to help you."
I contacted my lawyer is going to deal with them. They have no common courtesy or care about your problems with medications. Just pay them.
All I can say is the staff is lazy, unproductive, and give different answer to the same answer. Plus no conman sense. I can't find the the words to describe the low level of service I was provided
I should have received a refill for an expensive medication through TriCare 4 Life but when I called Express Scripts today to tell them that in spite of the tracking information on the refill telling me that the package had been delivered I have not received the refill. They informed me that according to their records it was shipped in one package with another prescription. I did receive the second prescription. I believe the lost prescription was not placed in the container with the second Rx but that someone at ExpressScripts failed for whatever reason to include the lost Rx. This drug costs me a $29 co-pay and the government $600. ExpressScripts now says that since it has been more than 45 days since they mailed the Rx there is nothing that can be done. In January I had a similar experience except that at that time I was told I hadn't waited long enough to get a replacement for a non-delivered Rx. Someone needs to investigate this company. I believe they are ripping off the US Government and its beneficiaries.
They intercepted and filled a one time prescription that was sent only to my local pharmacy, not to Express Scripts Without my consent they filled the medication mail order and billed for it the medication was ordered to be taken that night, not days later after mail
Answer: Easy to get hold of, but a total waste of time, they will just give you their preprogrammed script and not listen to a word you say.
Answer: It's a legit company with the worlds worst service
Answer: No. And since hell would have to freeze over before I ever actually do purchase anything from Express Scripts I want to have a success story.
Answer: I pay a monthly charge which is part of my Medicare Supplement Insurance. The total premium is $439 a month but it also covers other charges Medicare does not. Then for each drug Express Scripts charges a maximum of $20 for 90 pills if generics are used. Non generics depend on the medicine; they can be much more expensive.
Answer: I had no choice, it is the only option through my employer.
