These crooks used to be Medco, and they had so many complaints and investigations, they changed their name tom Express Script. They kept the same criminal leaders and staff.

I wish I could give them -0- stars. Express Scripts recently put a pause on a blood pressure med that I depend on because my existing balance was supposedly too high and they said I needed to make a payment before they would send the script. I immediately made a full payment, but I've come to find out that they still hadn't sent out the drug and now I will be out of it well before they can get it to me. When I called them, the first customer service rep kept interrupting me and when I made that known to her she immediately said she was getting a supervisor on the phone because she had a stroke in the past and didn't want to have another one! The supervisor then said that even though I made the payment, I still had to call them and let them know about it so they can release the drug. Now, I've spent years in IT and I have to say that this is a result of a poorly designed system! The drug should have been automatically released from the pause once the payment had been made. Further, no communication sent by them about the balance ever said that I would need to call them after making an online payment in order for it to be shipped! Poor customer service and a poorly designed system makes is a dangerous combination for a life-sustaining drug supplier. I told them to cancel all my refills. I'd rather give the business to my local pharmacy and save the headaches and possibly my life!

When MedMark was separate that company was great. But, now that Express Scripts took over it has just been an absolute pain to get medications. It used to be that I would have to call in my medications as a military retiree. The customer service was so bad that I ended up getting a single person to speak with to get my prescriptions filled. Now, that they are doing prescriptions via mail and online it is NO BETTER. I have been using them since 2002. I did not use their service in 2020. Now, in 2021, I have to use their service again and now they state that I do not have an email address with them. That is BULL, as I just recently got a prescription filled by Express Scripts. They want my life history it seems with full name, service number and other items that they have as I have been with them for nearly 20 years. Someone is trying to get my information for who knows what and perhaps sell it off. I do not trust them, but as a military retiree they are the only ones that we can use for mail order prescriptions. Get Congress to investigate them, PLEASE.

If there is one thing I don't like about my job, it is that we are forced to use Express Scripts. I have medical issues that I am working through with my doctor that require medication management - meaning that I do not take the same thing in the same amount for 90 days at a time. However, Express Scripts demands that patients fill 90 days worth of medication at a time, regardless of their doctor's orders. I wanted to pick up a prescription from my pharmacy on Friday evening, and I was shocked to hear that I owed $178.70 for a prescription that was previously under $20. When I tried to call Express Scripts, I waited on hold for 10 minutes before the line was disconnected. Since the service over the phone was horrible, I tried the online chat and spoke to Shanika who informed me that my only options to get my prescription Friday night were to A) call customer service and request an override, B) pay the full out-of-pocket $178.70 for the medication, or C) talk to a pharmacist about possible side affects of not taking my medication until Monday when I could contact my doctor and request a 90 day prescription. Absolutely terrible customer service and no regard for the health of the patient.

Let me first start off by saying, I am only giving one star because zero is not an option. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes about nine months ago and every prescription order I have had since then has been the worst experience I can imagine. I regularly have to call them 4-5 times to get my prescriptions correct, paid for, and sent to me. Fine if I have to call once, but then I have to call 3 or 4 additional times because they are physically incapable of doing what I ask them to do on the first call. I have asked for certain prescriptions (ones that I need to stay ALIVE) to be sent to me and have others paused until I can pay for the full cost of all prescriptions and they paused the prescriptions I needed and tried to send the others. I have asked them to pause prescriptions and they cancel them entirely. I just would like to call and have my issues resolved with only one phone call. This calling 4 or more times to get a single problem resolved has me at my absolute wits end. If I didn't have to use express scripts, I wouldn't. If you don't have to use express scripts, I strongly encourage you to find literally any other place to get your prescriptions than through this mess of a company.

They won't deliver your medicine. They won't answer their phones. They will completely ignore your requests. Stay far away from them and freedom fertility and United healthcare in general.

I'm forced to go to mail order due to retirement benefits or else I would go elsewhere. The prescriptions are sent after the original one runs out even though they received the order in plenty of time. I travel a lot and was told no problem they would send scripts to my location. When filling out form I completed the dates and address of where to send scripts and they still were sending it to my primary address. When I called they could not tell me when it would arrive at my alternate address thus I did not know whether I would still be there. It was a 16 day window. 90 days ago when I was trying to get a prescription filled I spoke with 3 different persons who gave me 3 different answers from the prescription had already shipped out to it wouldn't ship out for 2 more days. After being on the phone for over a couple hrs trying to track it down I demanded a supervisor who then was able to make it right, but that still put me with days of being out of my medication. Now here it is 90 days later and here we go again... I am not a person who writes reviews ever... but this is unacceptable.

They don't cover some of what the physicians prescribe. Some of the co-pays are outrageous: $1,200/month. Others are as much or more than without insurance. Will be canceling asap.

MY PCP called in an RX for my thyroid medication. Walgreens alerted me that they would have to order the medication and it would be on that Friday (sent over on Tues Nov 1). I called Friday; they cancelled the order. Reordered it 3 more times all of which they cancelled. After 10 days of not taking my medication because I was completely out I started calling other pharmacies in my area to see if they had it in stock. Another pharmacy did but it couldn't be processed through insurance because Walgreen had processed an insurance claim (and it was paid by Express Scripts) and I wouldn't be eligible for a refill for 3 additional months! Luckily, I called my doctors office they called the RX in again to the pharmacy that had my meds in stock but I had to pay out-of-pocket for the medication due the the fraudulent claim from Walgreens that was processed on November 1.
Hello Express Scripts...insurance fraud is a felony offense! You think they would have taken action but after 4 calls nothing has been done.

Worst for cost ever

Express scripts is 100% about profit. Not the patient. Example... 1. wife's Dr orders script she needs, express scripts deny coverage and then tell you (I am retired military) you can pay 1200. 00 to 1400. 00 for the script or your not getting it... even though the Dr stated this is the pill she needs... express scripts denied it... 2. dexilant... wife used for 10 years with basic copay... this year if she wants it 1200. 00 to 1400. 00 for the same 12.00 dollar bottle we got for 10 years... nothing else works... dr agrees... express scripts denies. Now, if you don't have insurance... the same meds are free or 30.00... this sounds fair... if your on welfare and sit on your butt all day with no insurance you can get the best price... if you served your country 21 years and retired enlisted... the med will be 1200. 00 to 1400. 00... the same amount as my disability checks from ssn disability... fair... no... do they care... no... it's a billion dollar biz... it's all about bonuses and rewards for the owners... for us... we just get crapped on... They did tell me I could stop using them... very caring folks.

I get Xarelto filled byb Express Scripts and they have shorted me 2-5 pills several times. I am tired of being ripped off by them. When you call them they don't care.

HORRIBLE AND INCOMPETENT

This is absolutely the MOST INCOMPETENT company on the planet. They were unable to fill a simple cheap prescription. They refused to fill it as written, contacted the doctor asking for a 2nd prescription which they then did not fill correctly as well. The doctor's office called again trying to straighten things out and they STILL did not fill the prescription correctly. They then demanded yet a 3rd prescription! The doctor's office had to get involved numerous times and I spent over 5 hours on the phone talking to customer service representatives, patient advocates, pharmacy assistants and pharmacists! The entire lot of them were complete imbeciles. I then called the corporate office in St. Louis and they did nothing! FIND ANOTHER PRESCRIPTION DRUG COMPANY!

I am currently a asthmatic patient with COPD and use Spiriva Handi Haler daily along with various other memdications. I have been trying to get my perscription filled, the doctor sent along with the pre authorization letter and it was still denied. This has been going on since January. I have spent endless hours on the phone with the doctor and with express scripts. Express scripts wants to put me a different medication that is 14 mg less than I have been taking per day. They have no compassion, just keep saying try this one or contact the Doctor. I am at my witts end and ready to seek legal counsel. When they do this type thing, they put the patient's life at risk and all they can say is call the doctor and have them call this phone number and nothing is working. This is becoming a full time job and it is unbelievable. I was on the phone with Ostendorf, Debbi L. On Friday 7/14/2023 and it accomplished nothing except provide a letter for the denial. PA Case *******

Horrendous

I had a good experience with Express Scripts for about 5 years...the last 6 months have been an utter nightmare.

They can't get any of the prescriptions correct. They continually are missing the automatic refill and this week was the final straw. I went through the process of getting a prescription, pre-approval for Mounjaro...then was told it was fill and shipped and the same day I got a note it was in short supply and can't ship. Have the doctor call in another prescription. HUH? Can't fill it but reorder it. Did this three times all the same result. My doctor then called in a replacement in Ozempic. All seemed good, then got another note that it needed pre-approval. That was given the and got a note the NEXT DAY...it needed pre-approval. I finally called them and talked 25 minutes to get this refilled and was told it was approved and processed. TODAY.I get another note that I have to start the entire process over. Forget them...they are amateurs and really screwed up. I am going back to local pharmacies.

My husband is a diabetic and needs his supplies to survive. When we first got Express-Scripts, they took about 2 weeks to deliver my husbands insulin. What I was told was I'm sorry for the inconvience. He had run out and we had to go to the doctors to pick up a vial. Recently, hehad went on a new pump. Only to find out they don't cover his test strips. Does anyone know how much they are? If no one knows, they also charge a dispense fee on every medication you get from them. We had to get a start pack for the pump and could have gotten it at a local pharmacy, only to be told by the local one, they do not carry it. So, we had to order it from Express-Scripts. They charged $146.94 instead of what the local pharmacy would have, $75.00. ES response? We charge 20% of the total cost. Seriously? Why wouldn't the presciptions be the same price? It isn't a 3 month supply! IT was a starter kit! My husband gets this horrible insurance through work and we DO NOT LIKE them! Horrible service! If we could go elsewhere, we would! STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU CAN!
