I got my first box from Every Plate today and was disappointed that 2 of the meals I ordered were missing. They only offered me a small credit that I can use only after my promo offers have run out. I left Hello Fresh because they too cannot get a box right and offered only a small credit. I explained to both companies that a credit for future boxes does not alleviate the problem. I need the meals not the credit. After doing a little more digging I discovered that Every Plate and Hello Fresh are essentially the same company. I was told it was an issue with the carrier. The carrier is Hello Fresh so no wonder I had issues. I DO NOT recommend using either of these services. It's really too bad because the food is good and the price is decent. But if you can't rely on it and they don't make it right when they do mess up, it's just not worth it.
First, the Prep and Ready times given are wrong, unless you have staff to read the instructions and do the chopping, zesting and peeling. The "what you'll needs" are also a little deceiving because the assumption will be that you are ready with a stockpot, a zester, peeler, etc.
On the plus side, the food ingredients are complete, and the food "what you'll needs" are likewise, but the portions are devoid of additions such as salad greens and bread. However, the entrees are very good.
Every Plate is a time and decision saver if you're interested in you absolutely don't want to grocery shop nor find a recipe. But thoroughly reading the instructions can take 30 minutes alone.
Bottom line: we saved some market time, but not cooking time and still had to provide some side items such as greens and bread at times.
They lock you into meals and have you pay for them before you even know what you are getting. You also can't indicate any special dietary restrictions or allergies. They sent me a ton of stuff my family can't eat
I saw some of their reviews and shock they ever got a bad one, I have been using them for around a year and never had bad food, missing items or any issues with them at all. I think people are more likey to take time to write when something goes wrong, then when it goes as it should, so I am taking the time now. It has been going great, I would recommend them.
If you want to dig through a pile of little packets to sort out the ingredients for each meal. You will get the opportunity here. Meals are ok. No ingredients that you probably don't already have.

My son is a full time college student, and also works full time in a "big-boy" job; takes care of his own house about 5 hours away. He's only 22 but he's been cooking for himself for a couple years. EveryPlate makes life so much easier for him, and so much happier for me, knowing that he's got fresh food to cook during this incredibly busy time in life!
I have tried many meal delivery kits and I really like Every Plate! The price is very reasonable and the meals are tasty. I have found that the cost of the kits is lower than what I would spend at the grocery store so it has saved me money on my monthly meal cost. I whole heartedly recommend Evry Plate!
I've been with EveryPlate for about 9 months. I usually skip boxes that I don't want. I forgot to go in and skip one for this week. Having never forgotten before, I was hoping for assistance from customer service. While it is my fault for neglecting to skip this week, I would have expected some kind of help. The food was fine, but the service is terrible. If I want to do a meal kit in the future, I'll look elsewhere.
The recipes from every plate are excellent and the food quality is fair. I'm a long term customer and have used their service since the start of the pandemic. My wife is immunocompromised so this is a great choice to minimize time in grocery stores.
However, they have had significant billing issues a lack of customer service.
I have been double billed for my last two weeks of orders & this isn't the first or only time. They eventually resolve the issue, but it can take weeks. Meanwhile they have taken or tied-up hundreds of dollars that could be used elsewhere.
Looking at other plans. Even if they are 'more expensive' it'll be worth it if they don't double-bill
They make it impossible to cancel orders within a reasonable time. My order delivers in 4 days but their customer service agents refuse to do anything. They actually just gaslight you saying "Why didn't you cancel it sooner, it is your fault." So customer service actually doesn't care to do customer support. In terms of the food, it's not too great. Most of the food is very unhealthy and takes a lot of time to make. My box was actually missing some veggies. Overall, disappointed with the customer service and the food itself.
I definitely would not recommend you use this service.
Do not sign up for this service! I did and it's become a fiasco. I canceled it and got an email a year later. I clicked on "Welcome Back" so I could see if they had any additional items and little did I know it signed me up for the service again. When I called and told them to cancel I didn't order anything, they just paused the service instead of canceling anf a month and a half later it happened again. Then the CSR said he would not refund the.money! I had to talk to a supervisor to get it back. Seriously, this is a scam that you could click a button saying, "Welcome Back,"and sign you up for a service you didn't want
But for them to take money out of my account after I canceled is theft, pure and simple. Wouldn't order from this company if I was starving and the.box was a dollar!
We tried this company for a few months. Everything tasted great, but we had problems week after week of spoiled food or damaged packages. Today's box was the last straw when we received a package of ground beef sliced all the way down the side. There was no way this could have been missed in the box packing phase, or *IF* someone did miss it - that's just as scary! We had to toss our entire box because everything had been sitting with exposed raw meat at least since last Thursday when the box was shipped out. Today is Monday. A smashed tomato is understandable for something shipped. A rotten onion is unfortunate. Open meat is unacceptable. I just cancelled this subscription and we'll move on to something else. Hello Fresh was too expensive, we may try Dinnerly next. Oh, and Every Plate seems to be the nearly-rotten leftovers from Hello Fresh - sometimes the veggies even came in Hello Fresh packaging! Now we know why they're cheaper. Sad.
Opened a box and had a bunch of flies come out. Bunch of other flies inside dazed from the ice packs. No way I'm eating that and really makes you wonder what's going on at the shipment or packing facilities.
They refused to cancel the account 6 days before delivery and we'll be on vacation. They will just bring and waste food that a homeless person could be eating. Trash company, never again, awful customer service, food is not good and not worth it
The first thing I was wary about was that I needed to pay before I could even see what they offered as their meals. So I took a leap and bought the first week. When I saw the meals... they are not healthy at all! So high in calories, fats, and carbs. One meal offered was over 1k calories per serving! That's more than half of your calories for an entire day. Nothing about these meals is balanced, and there are no options to choose what kind of meals work best for you; PLUS, you have to pay first and be stuck with the first week to find that out. It's all very sketchy. I'm scared to receive my meals after seeing all the reviews that stated items arrived spoiled.
So I ordered my 1st box and had coupon for free box. Well I used it says 10.99 shipping which I was fine with. Paid it then ways charge 82$ when I called they said it was used on other account which is not true. So I call them and of course they can't do anything about it no help me. I'm so mad they just take your money please beware!
I paid for my first box, never got the first box. Contacted customer service, they issues a "credit" to my account to be used towards my next box. Then they charge me full price for my next box instead of using the credit. I call and the agent tells me I was misinformed and that credit won't be applied until 2 boxes later. I have not even tried the damn food yet to know if I want 3 more deliveries, yet, I am paying and not being issued a credit.
Horrible customer service and i literally cancelled before even receiving my first shipment.
Canceled this after one time. Customer service claims I didn't. Refused to stop shipment. Asked for supervisor, refused. They are in Mexico and don't follow USA guidelines! On chat, said no problem for refund. On phone, refused. This is by far the worst! Filing a FTC complaint.
Dissatisfied with first order canceled immediately. Over a month later, my account was mysteriously reactivated and I received another shipment that I did not want. A Rude representative hung up on me After I've been on hold for 32 minutes. I called back and waited another 36 minutes to only get another representative that was unprofessional and unhelpful
Just received a discount card from every plate in the mail today. Did a quick search online, and found out that the majority of customers are unhappy with this company. So I decided to write this review and tell every plate I threw the card in the trash. I won't be wasting my time with every plate

Answer: I guess the sucess story is i have been using them a year it goes smoothly as it should, and I have no complaints.
Answer: I have tried others, that were more expensive, the instructions either were very time consuming or they didn't send any, you had to go online to get them them. I dont' know of any that have better price.
