I started every plate in august of 2023 and had it 2 times and cancelled or so i thought. Sept 1 i got an email saying "welcome back" and i never reactivated my account but havent received any boxes, so had no reason to wonder what was going on with the account because i thought i had cancelled anyway i got $60 taken out of my account sep 2nd and then i got ANOTHER $60 taken out if my account on sep 4, so legit a day apart which for some reason i didnt notice nor got a box anyway fast foward to October 23rd i noticed i got another $60 taken out of my account and this was the 1st time i had even had a reason to check the account after cancelling it. Had my SO call the company on that monday and they said that they couldnt help but then randomly transferred him to another person who said they could send a refund and the like 2 secs later said Nope nvm we cant and then my SO mad sure the acct was cancelled and they said it was. Wednesday came and i had a gut feeling so i checked the app and the ACCOUNT WAS REACTIVATED so i called the customer service line and i explained what was going on and she hung up on me so i called back and spoke to a different person who was listening and could tell i was upset and i was being nice and then the lady couldnt let me finish talking and kept saying " i cant help you" or kept repeating her policy like she was reading off a piece of paper and i asked her if she could refund and not send me the box and she said "nope cant help you with that and its not in the 5 day period" i said "my SO called monday which was the 5 day period and you still wouldnt help then, i asked her to keep the box and she said it was already in the process of being shipped and i said then dont finish the processing and just keep it there and she said no she cant help, i let her know 8 times that i had cancelled my account in august and she kept telling me it never happened and/or never got "approved"? I was like i have to have permission to cancel my account and she told me yes and i said well is my account cancelled now and she was like no the account is not cancelled i asked if she could cancel it for me and she said she doesnt have "authorization" to cancel the account i was so confused on what her job was then, so at this point i had $175 taken out of my account from the beginning of sept 2 times at the beginning of the month and then nothing for the rest of sept, kind of sketchy and then nothing at the beginning of October but at the end? Like whats going on. I had asked this lady to give me information on why it wasnt "cancelled" and why they randomly took money out of my account when A) my account was closed B) it is a weekly subscription so why take it out random dates. I had to try even take my debit card off the account and it wouldnt even let me do that. This lady hang up on me for the 2nd time. At this point i at the point where im so mad im ready to rip my hair out, i tried calling a 3rd time and was explaining my situation again and i was transferred to the lady i just spoke too and i let her know that i know it isnt her fault bc i work in customer service as well but when a customer is upset i do whatever i can to help and make the customer less upset and she ignored me for a second and then started reading the policy and when she was finished she hung up on me again. Anyway moral of the story, they wont cancel your account, they randomly reactivate yiur acc. They also randomly take your money without sending a box and they wont give you a refund. This food subscription is a JOKE.
This is probably the worst food I have ever eaten and when I call to complain about it and cancel my delivery the 1st time they told me it was too late to cancel the delivery and I was going to be charged anyway which I was and then all of a sudden I am getting charged again for this food the 4th time it comes to my house the Box is ripped open I can call and complain and ask why am I still receiving this c*** and they said well They didn't know and the cancelation hadn't gone through and so I said has it gone through this time again they sent me another Box even after the c*** Box was all ripped open I called to complain about it then I called again and the company guy hung up in my face when I did when I called to complain to make sure my empty was canceled and I did not get charged again then I had to call my bank have a letter signed by them that I didn't want their food and now they're fighting me to charge me The $69 but they will not give me the delivery feedback which is another $11 this company is c*** has the worst reputation worst customer service I have ever dealt with in any company every my life I would strongly strongly strongly suggest that no one ever used every plate as long as they live they have horrible foods supposed to be strips and it looks like chunks and so on and so forth just a bunch of garbage not to mention half their ingredients weren't in the boxes when we went to put prepare the meals so this company Has yet to mature to the responsible nature that a company should when they're delivering food products to the American public please please and I employ you do not use every plate you will be sorely sorely disappointed

I am writing due to EveryPlate charging me an incorrect amount for my transaction placed on January 6,2023. I received a promotional e-mail from EveryPlate for previous customers asking them to come back and receive a promotional offer of $1.39 per meal. I clicked the promotional email's link, it took me to EveryPlate's web site, I logged in, and the promotional discount code was already filled into the promotional box. The code was 4J-MQSAV. I chose to order 5 meals at 4 servings each (20 total meals). For $1.39 per meal in addition to the $10.99 shipping fee, minus the $72.00 discount, the total came out to $38.79 (from $110.79). I took a small screen snippet/screenshot at that time, as EveryPlate has incorrectly charged me in the past. In fact, my bank can view on my statement that I was charged $109.79 on November 28,2022, and then refunded $70 by EveryPlate on December 9,2022 for making charging me the full amount of an order even though I applied a discount code. I checked my online statement today (January 11,2023) and saw I was charged the full, undiscounted amount, which was $110.79.
I immediately called EveryPlate customer service and spoke to a man named Omar (who refused to give me his last name or initial of his last name). Omar stated this promotional code was for new customers only, that it was my responsibility to know what I was being charged, and that there is nothing he could do for me. I explained the above process, where I logged in via a promotional email and the amount was deducted. I explained I had a screenshot, and for the order I placed on January 6,2023 for a delivery of January 11,2023, the order amount should be $38.79. Again, Omar refused to offer me any sort of adjustment. He refused a refund, store credit, and even refused to transfer me to one of his superiors/supervisors. I explained multiple times that when I placed the order, the amount shown was $38.79, and that I have the screenshot, and Omar insisted that it was my problem to deal with, and not EveryPlate's. I also explained to Omar that this type of issue occurred in the past, and that is why I took a screenshot. After again asking for a supervisor, and Omar again refusing, I advised I would be filing a dispute with my bank and ended the call.
Im a mom that takes my daughter to work everyday and I thought I would try out every plate as I found I didn't care for Hello Fresh (Too overpriced) and I need something easy to cook on week nights. I had some trouble with the website 3 times all together; I was trying to skip a week (2 of the 3 times) and it told me it was skipped but I did not receive an email confirmation, it just showed me the date on the website for 04/26/2021 as my next delivery. The other time I deactivated my account as I had previously cancelled my order only to find out that it wasn't deactivated according to a representative named John. I use a computer all day long, it was not incompetency on my behalf- the website just wasnt working. I did receive emails that I had deactivated my account, and was very disappointed when I found the every plate charge on my bank account when I didn't want it anymore, had already canceled, and needed the money for my daughters formula.
I hit up the help chat and John was terrible. I kept trying to explain the situation to him and he wouldnt listen at all, he kept saying the same thing over and over about the cut off date (which i knew of and had followed the rules) and then he kept treating me like it was all a joke or something. He made me send snap shots of my bank account, snap shots of all the different emails, and then went in circles saying he wouldn't refund me. He claimed that even though I had skipped the week a week before, that i wasn't allowed to deactivate my account without a penalty but it shouldnt have mattered with the week already being skipped. He did not care that I was out the money and that I needed it for my daughter, he just kept arguing with me. I asked for a manager multiple times and he claimed his supervisor was there and would refund me half the money I paid and that was it. Not only did I end up with food I didnt want or need, I only got back half of what i paid even though I went by regulations, and the customer service guy john was terrible, uncaring and rude.
I wont post my bank account since my name is on it, but I will post pictures of the emails and convo with the ridiculous representative.
Find a different place, this website is terrible when it comes to honesty and customer service.
I haven't even received the order yet and the website doesnt allow you to look at what you got unless you reactivate your account.
