I signed up for promo for THREE meals for $10.99. Instead I was charged $83 for SIX meals. Not only that, my delivery Is delayed and has been sitting in an unrefrigerated truck for 3 days. When I called to complain, the rude rep basically told me "Too bad!" I was offered a $10 coupon. I do not want a coupon. I want fresh food at the price I was promised. I put in a dispute with credit card. I will NEVER order again. EveryPlate LIED and scammed me. Do Not trust them.
I received my second box from EveryPlate in March 2025. The chicken that was included in the box was a little slimy so I washed it off and went ahead and cooked it for me and my son. After eating, we became sick that night so I messaged EveryPlate and let them know. On March 13 they said that a refund would come through within 7 to 10 business days. We are now April 2 and I have not received a refund from EveryPlate. I've reached out to them severaltimes and they keep telling me another 3 to 5 days another 3 to 5 days and nothing. I would not recommend this mail delivery serviceto anyone Because the food quality is not great at all. And the company must not stand behind their product, as if they did, I would havemy refund for a product that we never use because I threw the rest of the box of food away.
Every Plate is terrible! It was a struggle to find dinner selections that were appetizing. I did not like that French fries were the sided dish for every meal. When I opened my box upon arrival, the ice packs were melted. I did not think the food was safe to eat. Customer service would not refund my money. I did not want to continue the service. I was only able to receive a credit to my account. Very poor customer service.
I have used (and loved) EveryPlate for a couple of years now. Occasionally there are subpar ingredients or something left out, but lately the quality has plummeted. My last two boxes have contained completely unusable, rotten, produce. Potatos that were black and soft, slimy scallions, smashed tomatoes, mushy bell peppers. When I called to inform them, I was given a credit for the cost of the vegetables. But that's not the point. A couple of bucks for rotten produce doesn't make up for the fact that I can't cook the meals without going to the store. I'm writing this review because I have gotten no satisfactory response from EveryPlate customer service. They very politely tell me how sorry they are, but I have yet to hear from anyone who can tell me what will change. I am sorry to say that if it happens once more, I will be cancelling my subscription.
Be careful. They will find a way to charge you. During holidays by moving ship dates sooner without a email notification. Extremely disappointed. Customer service said they could offer me a rebate on the next order. No thanks, cancel everything.listed below was that email notification about them changing delivery dates ( says nothing about date change).
They billed me without me actually placing an order. And tried to bill me for two weeks at once? I'm on disability and every dollar counts. It really financially messed me up. Customer service could explain what happened and refunded me but left my profile there and it was set to bill again! I'm fuming. I'll NEVER do business with this company.
I ordered my first box and was excited to try it. However all 4 meals had multiple ingredients missing, so none of the recipes could be completed. I contacted them through chat and requested a refund. They tried to offer me a credit on my next box instead. Nope! There will not be a next box. They finally gave me a refund, but not a full one. I was ok with that since I did get about half the stuff I was supposed to. And I only spent 40 bucks anyways. But now I gotta figure out what to make with this random food. Very disappointing!
The food is great -- when it shows up. At the moment, though, they keep sending my food to an address literal states away -- it's not even remotely similar to my address. Getting this resolved has been a nightmare. I haven't received any food from this company in weeks, just tons of refunds and empty promises of the mealkits I once loved. Waiting for a full refund on my latest order because -- yet again -- it showed up in New Mexico instead of Washington. Additionally, they charge extra for substitutions. Lots of pork recipes that charge extra to change to a non-pork product. I was willing to put up with that because I was receiving the kits, and they were enough to feed me and my family of three on 3 meals for 2 people each week. But now they don't even arrive so it's not worth it.
Called today because I was unable to cancel my order 24 hours ago. Called to cancel it as it hasn't shipped yet but was told I was unable to do that. I could ship to a new address which makes no sense but there is nothing they can do. I have been with you guys for awhile now and you can see I have skipped the last couple meals. Customer service is $#*!. Won't be returning
I got an offer to restart my EveryPlate account, so I went online to review the menus to decide if I wanted to give it a try again. Unbeknownst to me, just by virtue of logging back into the account, it was automatically reactivated and they have shipped a box out. I NEVER agreed to this.
Such a shady business practice, and completely lacking in any level of transparency.
This company charged me fraudulently for something I never ordered. Then said they could not cancel the box because it was too late. I finally got my account canceled, but they refused me a refund. AND the box they charged me for never arrived. I'm reluctant to contact them because I don't want them dipping into my checking account fraudulently again.
I don't know how a company with such deceptive practices stays in business, but I reported them to the better Business bureau.
So I'm not the one ordering them, but I have heard that the customer support is terrible. But anyway the food is absolutely terrible. The only reason my parents are even doing this is because they are too lazy to make anything else. Yeah some of the food is good like the pork and chicken but the mashed potatoes are terrible, the carrots are terrible, and there is barely any options: I get the same thing every other week. And don't even get me started on hello fresh owning them. Hello Fresh's food looks so good, except my parents are cheap and lazy. Everyplate is literally the cheap version of Hello Fresh. If you want good food, go to hello fresh or any other companies
We tried canceling our subscription 3x now. They cancel that weeks box and pause payments for a month. After that month, they tried charging my card 5 times daily. It isn't just a scam. It's fraud. Luckily, other than one month, we have learned to freeze our card so that the payment doesn't go thru. If they try running my card again literally ever,I will go after them for both harassment and fraud
I put my info in figuring I could just cancel it after looking to see if it would be a fit for my family and I was telling me I couldn't cancel it and that their office was closed. I would never recommend this company to anyone!
This is a scam company. They bill your card twice and never ship anything yet mark as shipped and mark as delivered when you ask for proof of shipment they close your account. Opened bbb complaint filed as well as PayPal chargeback claim opened
Highly disappointed with Every plate because box was missing food and recipe cards even though checked thoroughly. I did call after 2 attempts and did finally get right recipes sent to me via email. They offer a coupon to try the service the first week and then price is more than triple the second week. The vegetables for most meals were just a pile of inexpensive carrots and potatoes. Some of vegetables were overripe.My Husband did not feel like there was enough food even though I ordered an extra portion. Customer service reps were kind. I have tried a few different meal kit companies prior. Prep time is underestimated. While I am an experienced cook who has been told I work very fast in the kitchen (extensive fast food service and higher quality restaurant/mass feeding experience) with prep, these recipes took a lot longer. Not worth it.
I signed up a week ago and was not happy with the portions - literally rec'd 1/4 chicken breasts - recipe card didn't include full instructions - recipe's were sub par. I had no idea they already charged me for my next box before I even got 1 recipe made. Called cust serv the refused to refund. Moved my date out a week and changed my menu - I figured I paid for it so I had no choice. Got a text today my box has been delivered and it contains nothing that I ordered. Rec'd it 7 days early and nothing that I'll eat. Called cust serv spent 18 minutes on the phone and they admitted they saw my changes but for some reason it didn't take. They refused to give me any credit or make it right as a result of the error on their end. She literally read me the chat I had which stated my changes - I even had PROOF. Nope - no refund - no return - no exchange - just sorry. Terrible customer service. I DO NOT recommend!
They are irresponsible, disrespectful and dismissive of the concerns of their customers. They make promises that are not kept. You will be billed for stuff that you never agreed to pay for and when it's time to get refunded you are always promised it in 10-14 business days, bits its been over two months and I still have not received my money. Take it from me, this company is terrible. This company won't allow you to even speak with supervisors, instead your name goes on an imaginary waiting list. Do not be fooled, this company will fail you!
What a wretched disappointment this was. Came home from work thinking I had 5 meals waiting for me and ready to eat. Instead I get a box of vegetables I could pick up at any roadside stand. I'm so mad... I plan to throw the whole mess in the dumpster out back and hope to forget the forget this screw up.
These people are working a scam, imo.
I've been a customer for a while. They removed any way to submit feedback other than a phone call. 6 calls, all to the Philippines. Previously, I spoke with employees in the US. The 5th representative hung up on me after telling me he was in the Philippines. Calls are recorded. Apparently, they've removed any way to correspond with them or offer feedback, and outsourced their jobs (I can only assume). I'll pay more from a company that cares.

Answer: I have tried others, that were more expensive, the instructions either were very time consuming or they didn't send any, you had to go online to get them them. I dont' know of any that have better price.
