I ordered a refurbished Dell Laptop in September 2016 which the battery does not work within a year as well as i had to replace the laptop charger 3 times since purchase. Total purchase price was $474 plus $17 process fee and $18 week was deducted each month and my final payment would be due Dec. 6,2016 I thought there return process was more of an inconvenience, hassle and it would be less stressful to keep it and replace the parts. I did 90 day same as cash and in December when I attempted to make my last payment, I was unable to log in and got an error and to call customer service. I called and spoke with David and processed the $216 due to pay the balance. I found it odd that after he processed (or pretended to) I asked if there was any confirmation number that I could refer to and was told: "No but if there is any problem with the payment that I would receive an email, other than that you should be fine. Months later I checked my account and Monterey Financial was taking $75.00 from my account which i discovered was the the cause of the domino effect of overdraft charges. During that time, I fell ill and was dealing with a family crisis and was unable to deal with the stress. When I did speak to someone from there they were extremely aggressive and rude when trying to explain to them that the balance was paid within the 90 days on December 16,2016 and I do not owe. I now have derogatory mark on my account owing $315 outside of the $75.00 for 9 months they have been unjustly and illegally robbing me of. The only proof I have is the day I called and paid it off and the duration of the call from my phone bill. As life was already stressful enough, I feel the are predatory and do this to consumers in order to pay that ridiculous high interest and do not process when trying to call within the 90 days to avoid that. I will be seeking legal counsel and demand they remove that false balance due as well as reimburse me for any fees outside of the $216 that was paid off within my 90 days. I am a single parent on a fixed income and I they purposely seek out individuals as myself that may need a payment plan. This is predatory lending and no different than stealing money that does no belong to them. It took awhile but while my family is in order as my health I am fighting back and getting all moneys back that I don't owe and seek legal action for damages due to this!

They have been bothering me for over a year for money I do not own. After I placed an order in November 2016 and read their reviews I cancelled my order and close my account. They harass me for months. The items were refused when they eventually were shipped. After speaking to a manager last summer I never heard from them again and thought everything was good. I just received a collection notice from a collection agency. The name of the collections agency is n a r. I just hung up the phone with them, they are no longer accepting accounts from Emporium as they have gotten a lot of complaints from customers that these bills don't exist. Collection agency is sending bills back to Emporium and will no longer be doing business with them. I would not purchase anything from this company. They will bill you even if you don't get the items. Their customer service and management are ignorant.
I ordered 3 laptops and didn't receive them. Emporium cancelled the order and never told me. I kept getting a bill and when I called them they passed me around stating that it is billing's fault, billing said it was shipping's fault. Both would put me on hold but then the phone would hang up. Phone number I was given would not go through.
I sister-in-law order some shoes for my husband for christmas, she ordered them the beginning of October- still haven't got the shoes (today is jan 9,2018) They give a fake tracking number. She finally got fed up with it and cancelled the order and ask for a refund. Lets see how long it will take them to give her the money back

I tried to leave them a message on their FB page as well as their contact us link. Both links are not working. These people are scammers!
I ordered a gift for my boyfriend over 2 months ago... was told 2-3 weeks for shipping... requested a tracking #... it never showed up as legit. I have contacted them many times and all I get is "it takes time" and then "there is trouble with the shipping company"... and then "the distributor lied to us"... and then "we're contacting our insurance to handle it"... meanwhile I told them either give me what I ordered or refund my money. Ordered in October... said it shipped on October 31st. Then November 15th said problem with tracking numbers but will not delay shipment. Then get email on December 9th that item is reordered. Told them I want to cancel. They ignored me and reshipped on December 18th. Doubt I will ever get it! But they have had my $ since October 26th!

Well they informed me that my balance was 2200. 00 and it was for 24 months, And I would need to contact emporium to find out why. I call emporium who says they can't help me I need to contact Monterey that who has the contract now!# I explained that they said they couldn't help me I need to talk to you. I will never order again. From this outfit again stuff is cheap, bought two Children ipad which lasted 2 1/2 month. Clothing was $#*!, sizing off bought a man's extra large could have fit my 12yo grandson that was a boys medium
Purchased a tablet through Emporium. Took forever to process and get my merchandise. Shortly after I am notified my account was "sold" to another company, Monterey Financial Services, who has been ridiculous. They called to notify me my account was one month past due. I asked how since its automatic withdrawn from my checking account and my account shows the amount withdrawn. They ignored answering my question and interrupted me to ask me what account they can get the money from otherwise they were filing legal action against me by end of business day as well as defaulting my account PLUS 35% to credit reporting bureaus. I wouldn't have purchased from Emporium if I was aware they would sell my account to a third party and I would be treated this way.
