The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

Terrible policies, don't give them a cent. You will get nothing for your money and absolutely no help from their terrible customer service department.
Fake profiles abound and profiles of interest don't exist unless they are fake.
Please help get this company out of business. Never give them a penny!
I joined! Man got my phone number and email. I did not provide. Phone calls, $#*! pics. Had to chg#. When I brought this to their attention they tripled my bill and threatened collection.
BEWARE!
Received a message from some guy wanting to know if I wanted to see his penis. I didn't pay for a subscription to have to put up with this. AND... I can't cancel my subscription as they will still charge my card to pay out the term of my 6 month sign up. Keep clear!
Absolute scam!
They label a 100% match a person that has 0 (zero) compatibility with me, and is not in my geographical area.
They charge enormous amount of money and then do not give refunds when experience is absolutely negative.
Sneaky enrolment process to make the site look ok and to get your money. Absolute scam!
I did manage to meet some good contacts, but none within 200 miles! Many were even in other states! Even though I set my contact radius at 50 miles I realized their algorithm was not going to match me with anyone close. In talking with a girl friend in my city I discovered she was having the same results. We had very similar match characteristics and were never offered to each other. There had to be quite a few eHarmony clients here that eHarmony would not match me with simply because with distant matches they could keep me subscribed. I don't know if any match services will give you honest service, but you should not get sucked into their subscription scheme!
I signed with eHarmony 1/22/22 for $153.25 for a 6 month trial period to use eHarmony's dating service. To be frank the quality of the woman were poor to fair at best. I did spend a lot of time on the dating site to try to make it work but my result was 3 dates with 1 woman that did not turn into a relationship. I decided not to continue the dating service when my 6 month term was up on 7/22/22. I was shocked when I received my July credit card statement that I was charged $766.24 for a 12 month term. I called eHarmony customer service department and told them I did not have a good experience with their service and had no intention of renewing. They claimed when I originally signed up that their was some stipulation in the contract that unless I called them to cancel before the 6 month trial period expired I would be charged $766.24 for a year membership. After checking the correspondence that they sent me I told them honestly I could not find what they were referring to. A normal business would of done the right thing and refunded me the $766.24 or at worst prorated 1 month of the service which of been $63.85 and refunded the balance back to me but they refused to do that. I've have better luck with free aps like Bumble or Hinge or paid apps like Match.com. Please don't make the mistake that I made by signing up with eHarmony!
EHarmony was unable to provide the service they promised in my area (flathead Valley Mt). That would be 0 matches that meet my criteria after the first visit to their site. Only 4 possibilities.
When I contacted them they suggested I look for someone 10 years older or younger. What?
I requested that my contract be terminated. They then told me they were under no obligation to provide the service they promised.
Buyers beware. The profiles they show you, to begin with, are not necessarily members and are not available through their site.
I live in a small town, (just over 10,000 people). Three local matches, despite wide search parameters and a willingness to drive 1 to 2 hours and many months. Tried to get together with all matches. Was able to see one and it didn't work out. Many months have passed with no local matches. It's an expensive subscription. Don't sign up unless you're willing to travel, (lots of matches five hours away). Or, you live in a largish city. Never again with this subscription service.
E-Harmony offers you nothing over free dating sites, you are just paying for a name at this point in time. The most frustrating part of E-Harmony is in the fine print. I followed the cancelation instructions on the website and thought everything was good. A year later I get a letter from a collection's agency, E-Harmony decided that I owed them money. This is not a monthly subscription service and if you do not read the fine print, you are in for a big surprise. With all these dating sites out there, this one is just overpriced and follows some very shady business practices.
Hello, as a single man raising a child with autism i need all of the help in the dating department i can get. Ehamony misrepresented the monthly charge and continues to bill my account over a hundred dollars at a time and my bank allows it to go through because of fine print that says you will be billed the whole year irregardless of anything including cancellation. The women on the site were great but the company is going to take advantage of you in every way they can. Beware unless amounts over $400 do not matter to you.
After trying to delete this dating app I was told I could not delete it but didn't know about the auto renewal. Was automatically charged $805 on my credit card even though I tried to delete it and haven't used it in months.
If you ask me this is nothing short of a scam plus the site itself sucks. I highly recommend people save there money and use bumble instead. Bumble has a way better setup with more users.
Hope this was helpful and will deter people from ever using eharmony.
I have been single for a year and wanted to just see what was out there. They have you go through a 20 minute questionaire. Once you get to the end they ask you to sign up with 3 plans. It says you hae 3 days for a money back guarantee. After checking out the site I knew it was not for me! I called LESS THAN 24 HOURS LATER and asked to canel and get my refund. She said my state Michigan was not one of the states that is able to cancel within the 3 days. Apparently there are only 12 states included for the cancellation! I have never ever heard of something like this. Absolute scam! They LOCK you in a 12 month plan where you will be paying almost $500 for the year. I suggest you do what I did and cancel that credit card and get a new one so they don't keep charging you. This disgusting company took my $114 and I have deleted my account! However I called my bank and disputed that payment! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY!
I went to the eHarmony site and answered all the questions. At the end they offered Premium light 6-month plan for $69.90 in large bold letters and then they have "month" beside it in microscopic font (see picture below), which I did not see. I am 67 years old and it was late at night, so I thought, that sounds good so I put in my credit card and paid the $69.90 on 9 Jan 2023. I receive my credit card confirmation (see below) via email shortly after I approved the charge, and it showed the price of $395.40 all in the same font. I immediately wrote back to eHarmony saying that I felt their advertising was misleading and asked that they cancel my service and refund the money. I am retired and living on a limited income.
Customer service informed me to read the contract and that I am bound to the terms and conditions of the 24 page contract and that I should have read the terms and conditions before submitting my payment. They will not refund my money even though I notified them within 10 minutes of receiving the invoice.
I am tired of large corporations ripping off elders and I am going to fight. Taking them to court next week. Please wish me luck. Also, if this has happened to you, we might want to put together a class action lawsuit against eHarmony for misleading advertising. I am also planning to report them to the FTC.
Deceivingly signed me up for a 12 month contract after offering me a 7 day trial period. I called in the 3rd day as their app barely had matches in the area I live in, to then get denied and harassed to pay my full membership.
It's a bait!
This site has very few members and if you cancel subscription before 14days, you will be automatically charged £65.
See what I got
Please review clause 11.2 on our Terms and Conditions page to know more about our cancellation policies
Because you have paid less than the value compensation due there is a balance owed to eharmony, which we have calculated as follows:
Already paid by you: £12.95
Value compensation: £65.00
Remaining balance: £52.05
This remaining balance has been charged to the payment method you provided, and your account status has returned to a free, Basic Membership.
The constantly send me links to other dating sites that have robots with just pictures! There personality quiz is a joke! They bait you in with blurry pictures of totally incompatible and not active girls on their site. I have paid for 6 months with them and I haven't been impressed yet with any of there service all you get are robots for customer care! They are as close to a scammer site as you could get without totally being one! They also rejected my photos with me in it. I suppose they only want me and nobody else… but that's what you would expect from a robot running the site. Stupid in the photo you will notice my greatest frustration is the green check marks showing the message I sent first with only one. She couldn't see the message but the smile afterwards she was able to see. Bad system if you ask me! I paid for the membership and paid to send the message! It's like buying a cellphone plan that works 25% of the time!
I spent a few hundred bucks on Eharmony and was contacted by scammers one after another in the first month, be aware of fake profiles everywhere on the site. I have to cancel my membership and get out of the nightmare.
Don't waste your time or money. Too many phony women who play games, and really don't want to meet. E-harmony sucks.
The worst dating site after 24 hours u wanted out they make you pay before you get chance to see site and so I tried to get my money back they told me I lived in a state where I can't get it back. I am forced to pay a year subscription to something that does not work and is useless. This is a scam to get your money. Read entire thing before committing. Beware!
Not worth the price. Was not impressed with the matches or diversity. Won't give you a refund even after only a week. Now have to wait 5 plus more months till I'm free. Biggest purchase I've ever regretted! Bye bye $350
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
