The overall reputation of the company is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to perceived deceptive practices regarding refunds and subscription management. Many users express frustration over the lack of suitable matches and the prevalence of fake profiles, leading to a sense of wasted time and money. Customers frequently highlight inadequate customer service, with limited access to support and automated responses exacerbating their concerns. While a few users mention positive experiences, the overwhelming sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency, better quality control of profiles, and a more responsive customer service approach.

If you don't believe my title just try it for yourself and you'll agree 100% so worst experience you'll ever have in your life. Don't waste your money go someplace else try Our Time. This review comes from an actual padt user by the way
Where is the 0? Seriously this is the worst site and as many other reviews say, it's a SCAM! I purchased a year membership and then canceled the auto renew in the app before it was set to renew. Nevertheless, I was charged for another year. My credit card recognized this as a scam purchase, and I disputed the charge for it, thinking that was the end. Nope, three months later, I get an email saying I'm expected to pay for these fees even though I canceled and even though I disputed my charge (and was not charged), and even though I didn't use the app since I canceled the auto renewal before the fake charge. I reported, complained, called, and said this was utter bull****. That didn't matter because I was sent a collection notice for the fake charge. DO NOT USE!
Well, you might as well look for a date at a Grave Yard. But seriously, I realized I should just ask out that cute girl w/out a ring on her finger at my favorite restaurant instead. Now "eHarmony" doesn't let you pay for a simple one month to try it out, NO... your assh has to pay for minimal of "6 months" or 2years (LOL) just to use their sick, sad grifting site.
---So yeah, it's expensive because you have to pay for many months of sh*t service all at once.
And when you do finally chat with someone who's real or an active member - they'll prob. Have massive baggage, live 500+ miles away, and come stock totally angry, which reminds you why someone divorced them in the first place...
Few matches and often matched with the wrong gender! Little or no interaction between matches. Can't buy just one month to try it out. Locked into several expensive months. I don't recommend eHarmony.
None of my matches were even close to where I live. Most were over 100 miles away. Some were even over 150 miles away Spent a lot of money with no responses.
Very deceptive business practices. You basically can't use the service without paying (unlike a lot of dating apps). And the payment plan is for the full year, so it cannot be cancelled early, even if you're not using the site. Also, there are almost no options to match, so it's not even worth the money. Use a free dating app instead.
Please! Don't waste your money on this crap site. Most of the profiles don't even have pictures, because they're not actual members. Their matches are terrible, and their prices are outrageous. When you try to cancel, they will not cancel you. They will let you cancel the auto renew, but they will continue to charge you for the full year! Even if you remove yourself from the site, they will keep charging you! This site is a total ripoff, and they are selling pure crap! Please! Don't be like me and get suckered by these scammers! I gave them one star, if I could I would give them negative a hundred stars!
EHarmony bills itself as some kind of different dating site, well it's just as BS as the rest of them
This site purports to be different in that its users are more serious and generally looking for real relationships. One would therefore expect a more mature and positive experience than is typical for less serious sites. After 5 months, I can say that the opposite has been true. I have been overwhelmingly ghosted, not responded to, and scammed. Despite nice photos (rated over 8 on photofeeler for attractiveness) and a complete, positive profile, I have been messaged only a handful of times. It is NOT worth the money and fosters negative feelings.
Be warned: Customer service responds like automated robots and the answer is always 'no.' Even after deleting my account after using this service for one month (with no free trial period) I decided the service was not meant for me. My matches we unpersonalized and were difficult to navigate as the whole website felt outdated. I wanted to pay for a subscription to avoid interacting with individuals who were not serious about dating but the way payment and cancelations are handled is a serious concern.
Despite my cancelation and account deletion after one month, I am still being billed the full $271.96 for my subscription. They don't care if your low on money. They don't care if you canceled your service. They don't care if you deleted your account. They only want your money and will use you as a nameless money bag. Not even worth 1 star!
I've dated many men through every dating site over the 9 years since my husband died. I hated to spend this money, the expensive charge eharmony demands. Finally, I gave in. I thought I'd been missing out and approaching meeting someone the wrong way. NOT. This was a waste of time and money that I didn't have to waste. Never met one man here. Other sites much friendlier and I met people I liked, even loved. Do not waste your effort. There are better places to look and find true romance.
I had technical issues not addressed in any of the lists of preselected issues & there is NO WAY to get help from a live customer support agent. I spent 2 weeks trying to figure out the problem with no luck, so I contacted my bank credit card's customer service and had eHarmony's access to my money blocked & disputed the initial payment for a refund bc eHarmony has no protocol for refunds. You are stuck paying eHarmony, even if u deactivate ur account with them. The lack of direct customer support means that it is impossible to address issues that are not on their lists of frequently encountered problems.
Also, most of the matches they paired with my profile were beyond the 100 mile radius that I specified on my profile.
Overall, my experience with eHarmony has been a well of frustration. I have no confidence in their program & resent the fact that dissatisfied customers are still obligated to pay for the entirety of their membership even after they close their eHarmony account. It's a rip off!
I think I will have better luck on a free dating app.
E harmony provides a false platform by enabling people with fake profiles send you messages before you get premium membership, however when you pay for premium membership with E harmony, then the messages from matches dry up. There are member who message you but are only out to get you thrown out. There are lots of fake people with questionable profiles. God help us.
This company stabs you in the back with fees - they send you to credit just for trying them out. Do not trust them.
If you do buy membership, pay upfront because they send to credit collection for absolutely no reason
They do not care about members or membership
Signed up for what I thought was 6 months, but they're telling me that I somehow signed up for 12 months? Tried to cancel but they said I'm stuck paying for the full year (over $480 dollars!) even though I'm trying to cancel after only ~2 months (most of which I haven't had access to the site because they locked my account) and they're threating me that if I don't pay they will send me to collections.
For the brief period I did have access- the matches were pathetic (didn't seem like anyone I'd want to date or be compatible with -i.e. I have multiple degrees and they're matching me with a bartender who only finished high school!?!). I'm very disappointed. Also - to increase your number of matches they try to match you with people 50-100 miles (or more) away! I'm convinced their algorithm is garbage and that Eharmony is a total scam.
I think if people really understood the business practices of eharmony they'd be bankrupt from lack of customers. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
Worst dating app. All of the matches are far away. No new matches come up. Same faces all the time unless you count the multitude of profiles with no photo. There is no one to talk to at eharmony for assistance.
They kept charging me for a period of 3 mnths for services I did not sign up for. A major bank in Florida REFUNDED all of the money and labelled it FRAud. I had to get a new debit car bcz of it...then they did a robo and got the new card number and charged it! Bank said it was FRAUD! Now it is with a collection company that wants to destroy my credit. FRICK THEM! Buyer be AWARE!
They just want hundreds of dollars for years to come, they don't care about your relationship life or helping you find your special someone.
Look at their plan:
I agree that I will be charged $99.39 today and 3 subsequent monthly payment(s) of $99.39 each for a total of $397.58 for a 24 month term, including estimated sales tax of $24.62 based on my current location; additional or different sales tax amounts may be assessed if I relocate to another jurisdiction; my subscription will automatically renew at $310.80 (plus applicable sales tax), charged in 4 payments of $77.70 (plus applicable sales tax), for a 12 month term and continue to renew on these same terms until I cancel; I authorize eharmony to charge my account now and upon each monthly payment and each renewal; and a cancellation will be effective on the next renewal date of my subscription.
I have just had a nasty, nasty, nasty experience with eHarmony. There is nothing harmonious about their rude, insensitive customer service.
First of all, I was not happy with the profiles. I have had a feeling that the two that responded were fake. These could be created by the eHarmony team itself. This is probably aimed to retain unwitting customers thinking that the website is working. You will soon realise that the person that responds to your profile/response in the early days will slowly reduce the frequency of their interaction with you.
Second. I cancelled my subscription within hours after buying a 6-month subscription. I was hoping that since cancelling within less than half a day would enable a full refund. But no, I was told I would be given only £30. That was a rip-off. Basically there was no 'cooling off' period.
Third. When I questioned why I was getting a small part of my huge subscription fee towards refund, I was told that the rubbish 'PERSONALITY PROFILE' eHarmony created for me was worth £130. That's utter NONSENSE. The 'personality profile' is generated by the computer. I didn't even bother reading it. When I looked at it, it contained too much information. I realised it's nothing more than the stupid 'astrological or star sign' profile websites develop.
Fourth. EHarmony should provide an option for subscribers if they wanted a 'personality profile'. I know my personality better than a stupid computer. They create some stupid report through the computer and assign a monetary value to it.
Fifth. When I felt that I was only going to get £30, I requested to reinstate my subscription. I was told that once the 'subsription' was cancelled, then I'd have to buy a new one. What 'daylight robbery'?
Sixth. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY for you to get in touch with the customer service. No phone number. No online chat. You have to raise a query through their website and wait. They will take 48 hours to respond. If you could talk to someone over the phone, then you can ask basic questions about 'cancelling' the subscription. Since you have to write, it is not practically possible to ask successive questions because of the time factor.
Seventh. Anyone reading this, think a MILLION TIMES before subscribing not just to eHarmony but to other dating sites. They are all the same. Completely DISHONEST. You have money-minting rogues sitting behind some website, creating fake profiles and utterly intent on stealing your money through 'legitimate' means.
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
