Im having identical situations with Edgepark for diabetic CGM, being told conflicting information and timelines, order is shipped, doctor had not sent information, insurance not approved order, documents received and under review. I contacted my insurance company who said payment was approved three weeks ago, The insurance rep spoke to Edgepark who said order would ship, waited 5days and no updates. So I contacted again and now told need information from Doctor!
I am on SSDI and cannot believe the disregard for professionalism and jeopardy they put ID Diabetics in.
I am a diabetic and need my insulin pump supplies. I called to order my supplies and they said that they need prior authorization. So I waited a few days and they said that they had to send my doctor a form that they forgot to send back. This went on for a couple of weeks. In the meantime I have ran out of my supplies and haven't had any insulin here it has been a month and still nothing. I have called my doctor, and insurance as well as Edgepark. They keep changing their story every time. They also said that they are waiting on a fax from the doctor and that was sent a week ago. Plus they are working remotely so there isn't anyone there to get the faxes. I have questioned what they have said and they keep blaming the doctor and/or insurance. They don't care about peoples lives. They just want a pay check for lying. I have been trying to stay healthy and I can't do that if I don't have my supplies that I need. I know that if my sugars get to high it will damage my organs and if my sugars get too low I could pass out. All this is really stressing me out.
They keep sloppy records so now my type 1 diabetic son has to go DAYS without his supplies. I received his supplies 2-14-2019, they didnt file until 2-23-2019 with my insurance. So until the 23rd I cant even get his supplies shipped. Put him without his supplies for 2plus weeks. They are joining in with the pharmaceutical companies in killing people. I WILL be taking my business elsewhere. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
I received a $12.64 bill dated 7/6/2022.
On 7/18/2022 08:46 AM Pacific Tim, I called to *******591 ignored the demand to enter my birth date. I waited for a live person to answer the call. The name of the lady that answered was Katie. I explained that I received a bill from their company which I am not familiar with. I gave her my first name, their account number and the amount due. She demanded my full name and date of birth. Of course I refused to release further information and asked to be transfer to a supervisor. After a long wait a lady by the name Iris. The almost copy paste conversation as with Katie. Again I refused to give my full name and date of birth and again I was refused to receive any information about the $12.63 that I was billed. I asked to escalate the call to Edgepark headquarter, executive office. As I was waiting to be transfer, I google the name of the company and look at this page. I was very surprised and started to think about maybe a scam or fishing company. After the hold time Iris said that she can not transfer me to their headquarter office. My direct reply to her was that i am refusing to pay their bill unless I receive a full detailed information about the money that supposedly I owe. On the top of it they are welcome to repot to all the credit buraus.
If indeed this company is legit I will accept an explanation of the bill and if not they have two choices:
1. To report my unpaid balance to the credit buraus or
2. To clear my account to ZERO.
I am happy that I did not corporate and demanded to upscale my call, they will never be pay for an unexplained bill.
I have been using edgepark medical supply company for several years. You order your medical supplies and they file the insurance company, etc. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. The mark up for the supplies are astronomical. After about a year i was having difficulties getting my orders and was going to find a new company. Then i read several articles that they were losing business and they stepped up their game and it seemed better, it didnt last. Since you can only order when you get down to a few days worth.or else your copay is ridiculous. Admittedly i have a stoma and im sitting here with no supplies and no its not pretty. A local company tried to help but my situation is complex. Last friday i talked to edgepark 3 times and a different story each time, i think two of those people were lying? I was told i would have my package saturday, its monday and i got their email that my package shipped, today, not friday. Oh and the reason my order was held up for 12 days, because (not sure which story is correct) the doctor wouldnt approve the leg bags or the insurance company wouldnt approve them. If i wanted them my price would be 234.00 for 6 of them, they cost about 8.00 0nline. Or heres an idea ship everything else until we can sort it out. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER VENDOR.
It appears that I am just one of a long line of people who have found Edgepark Medical supply to be a totally inept at what they are advertising to be. I have been dealing with them since March 9th, 2021 on getting Dexcom CGM items. It has been the same issue others have had and I spoke with them on a three way call with my insurance company and was told that everything from my doctors office was completed and all the paperwork to complete the order was finished. I was told that it was sent to the doctors hands to ok everything. I was told it might take 1 to 2 days and then the order would be shipped. Today, I received a letter from Edgepark telling me they had been trying to get in touch with me about my order and I needed to call them
To avoid any delays in the shipment of my order. I am tired of the lies from this company. I am going to seek legal advice on what can be done. I am considering a class action lawsuit against them at this time. It is time that somebody shows them it is peoples lives they are messing with and we are tired of it.
They will not call you with any problem.
My guess is all they have is problems or hate their customers to death!
Seriously, A V O I D!
Edgepark used to be a great place to order my diabetes supplies. I was enrolled in the continuous care program so didn't need to remember to order my supplies. HOWEVER, my transmitter was dropped from the continuous care system. I didn't realize I needed to order another one until my receiver notified me. At that point, I only had a few days left on the current one.
My current order for sensors has been a disaster. I received an email asking that I confirm the order. I did. Two days later, I received another email asking that I confirm the order. I did. Two days later, I logged onto my account to check the progress. It still showed that it needed to be confirmed but wouldn't allow me to do so. I called and the agent confirmed it for me. The ship date was changed from 3/25 to 3/29. When I didn't receive an email that the order had been shipped, I logged on to see what was happening. The order was listed as in progress. I called Edgepark again. After three calls, they told me that they needed clinical notes from my doctor. Then they told me that they had received them but hadn't reviewed them yet. After I was transferred again, I was told that they needed more details from my doctor.
I am now out of sensors for my Dexcom because Edgepark can't figure out its own system.
This had been a great place, but I no longer trust them to complete orders for me.
I definitely do not recommend them.
I've been an Edgepark Customer for 5 years. I order my Colostomy supplies. Never an issue, fast delivery.
I have been using Edgepark for more than a year to order Dexcom G6 sensors and transmitters for my two daughters, but recently I decided to stop doing business with them due to several issues that have made my experience more of a hassle than a convenience.
Firstly, I was required to provide a credit card for Edgepark to keep on record to charge my orders. Although this is not a major concern in itself, it does add a level of uncertainty to the purchasing process. Edgepark fails to provide clear information about the order value at the time of purchase, leaving customers in the dark about the amount they will be charged.
The main problem, however, lies in their frequent calculation errors and incorrect charges. It is disconcerting to see that a company providing essential medical supplies for patients is so careless when it comes to billing. I have discovered multiple instances where they charged the wrong amount to my credit card on file. To make matters worse, Edgepark does not send you any record of these charges, making it difficult to identify and address these errors unless you are diligently checking your credit card statements.
The last straw came when Edgepark charged the full amount of an order to my credit card and then billed my insurance as well. However, this was far from the first or second time I had to contact them to correct their mistakes. It is incredibly frustrating to have to deal with such recurrent incompetence, not only from their employees but also from their supervisors.
Overall, my experience with Edgepark has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Their lack of transparency in billing, frequent calculation errors, and overall incompetence have made me decide to move away from their services. I cannot recommend Edgepark to others, especially when there are alternative suppliers in the market who offer reliable and transparent services.
I am a type one diabetic I have a lot of damage due to diabetes I currently has been on a insulin pump and getting my supplies from Edgepark since I've been getting my supplies from Edgepark they've been giving me a headache and now after one year they do not want to give me my supplies even though they are getting paid from my insurance they even have prior authorizations for my supplies and they're still saying that they do not want to have anything to do with me that is like so terrible so rude it's like they're picking and choosing who they want to ship out supplies to that is so terrible I am taking them to claims if anybody has this problem you guys should definitely contact your insurance and claim Edgepark that's not fair what they're doing somebody can get very ill without insulin pump supplies they obviously don't want to do their jobs correct but they want to get paid it does not make any sense this is stupid and it's sickening they are peoples life at stake learn how to do your guises job and take it more serious I don't even want to give them one star but in order to share my review that's requested They discussed me
I am NOT a Medicare recipient, Edgepark knows it. But every 6 months, Edgepark requires that I submit a Medicare Advance Beneficiary Notice before they ship my insulin pump supply order. So my insulin pump supplies sit for a month waiting for my submission of the ABN (which Edgepark doesn't mail to me because I'm NOT a Medicare recipient)(AND Edgepark doesn't call to tell me about it). I submit my own version of an ABN that carefully explains I'm NOT a Medicare recipient, Edgepark never mails the ABN to me to fill out, they need to fix their broken system, and that Medicare should be alarmed that Edgepark is telling a non-Medicare recipient to submit Medicare documentation to them. I submit/resubmit my version of the ABN dozens of times.
I call customer service (which seems to be based out of south Asia), they tell me "your order will ship tomorrow", "we will call and text you when it ships", and they say nothing about the ABN hold on the order (customer service has absolutely no idea why orders don't ship). Of course, the order sits for another couple of weeks with the ABN hold. A few more phone calls to customer service and the ABN hold disappears, and my insulin pump supplies ship 1.5 months late.
Then there's the story of my Dexcom supplies, order placed in March is finally received in July. Customer service could never explain the issue.
I ordered incontinence items Feb. 5,2022. Nothing sent, lame excuses. Sick of this company. No service at all.
Always delays, poor communication and problem solving! We have ordered diabetic supplies from here, but I'm changing companies!
I am writing this because this is my 2nd bout of back and forth of several weeks of who is responsible with the hold up of my diabetes supplies. When the company I worked for switched from Blue Cross to MVP it required me to purchase from Edgepark. I used to purchase from Omnipod and pay less for pump supplies and now I'm forced to use Edgepark, and they charges me more. It took me 3 months to get the transition completed from Blue cross to MVP and I had to go without a pump during this time. It was very frustrating when they charge $1475, for which I pay out of pocket and I still can't get my supplies. In early August I spoke to Edgepark and authorized payment for my Dexcom, and 3 weeks went by and I still didn't have my sensors. I called Edgepark and they said they are still waiting for my doctor to send authorization. I had my doctor send me the fax with dates and times showing the transmission was successful, I sent this verification to MVP and still no resolution. It seems they sent an old verification to MVP that was apparently out of date even though they had a new one, and the issue is happening all over again. I do not recommend any insurance company to do business with this company.
I am a diabetic and Dexcom user, get my supplies every 3 months from Edgepark and every 3 months I go through the same frustration. The website is more than useless. Every time i have to call and speak to a representative to process my order even though i went through all the steps on the website only to find my order was never received, then go several more days with out my supplies. That i can deal with. However, this last time Edgepark ran a payment for $1394. 45 for my supplies which should have only been $350.00 dollars. Only to find out from my bank saying my Mortgage check was being sent back for insufficient funds. This should have never happen if Edgepark would have done their job of verifying my insurance plan, they would have seen my Family deductible was met and I had less than $1000. 00 dollars of my family out of pocket to met before my insurance paid 100%. When I made that phone call i was told Edgepark may reverse the charges. May, no that should have been immediate. This is now 4 days later and the refunded amount is $1044. 00. This is the amount minus the $350.00 I should have owed them to begin with. They didn't even have the decency to refund the full amount they took since they are the ones the messed it all up because they could not do their job. Yes i owed it to them and they would have gotten their money, being i have never had a past due balance but they screwed up and now I have to deal with my mortgage company and take a ding on my credit cause they did not do their job. Money is a luxury right now and I am so annoyed and frustrated. Their tag line is " we believe health comes first"" that is a joke. It should be " we want money first, then health" If you have a choice to go anywhere else, please do. You will be thankful you did.
I have been fighting with Edgepark for the past 2 years. They used to be somewhat competent (total of 6 years using them), but something has gone terribly wrong.
I am a UHC insurance member and Edgepark is an approved DME vendor. They have missed delivery dates for both CGM and insulin pump supplies for the past 18 months. They repeatedly claim they have to renew a prescription for supplies when my doctor gives them a 12 month script, and then once they claim to have received a script, they will call me 10-20 days later to let me know that I have to approve the order again before they can ship it - even though I originally had to approve it before they resubmitted for a new script.
My recent orders had me approve the order on 8/5 on their online portal for shipment on 8/5. On 8/10 I called because going online I saw it had not shipped yet and was then told that it takes 5-7 days for them to get approval from UHC, but it would be shipping on 8/11 as the approval was completed already. On 8/12 I received a call from their automated system letting me know that they could not ship the order until I approved it for processing. Upon calling customer support, they told me the order had been re-submitted to the system on 8/10 and was awaiting my approval. After approving the order, I was told it would take 5-7 days to ship it because they had to re-submit it to UHC for payment.
Kind of like being on a bad merry-go-round.
My supplies ran out on 8/10 so I would be without supplies needed to maintain my diabetes right now. Had to make a trip to the Dr. to get some backups.
The customer service rep handling this kept repeating the same thing to me each time I would ask a different question. "Company policy says it takes 5-7 days to process and ship an order". No matter what I asked, that was the answer.
Never EVER do business with these people.
