I've been doing business with this terrible third-party vendor called EdgePark medical who is selected by your insurance company as the supplier of your durable medical equipment for type one diabetics whether it be your Dexcom, G6 sensor and transmitter or whether it be your Medtronic insulin pump MMT-332A Reservoirs 3ml or MMT-378 Silhouette 23"
I'm trying to find someone who has a connection to begin a class action lawsuit against his company who purposely disregarding your health insurance providers protocols for type one diabetics and insulin pump supplies where Dr notes are not required to send out your durable medical equipment, and this company takes 3 to 6 weeks Every time you place in order to fulfill your order of which you're entitled to one order every three months. Because they take so long for this process. What they've purposely done is not allowed the Customer to get their fourth quarter order once save met their co-pay out of pocket deductible and then are able to get this equipment. Parts at your 80% coverage or at your 100% coverage and they push you into a new year where you now have to pay your full out-of-pocket co-pay deductible again.
They have been doing this for years and years and years. And as much as I try to get my cases escalated all they continue to tell me is we go based on when we shipped. The item. I have conference called in Humana insurance. I have conference called in UnitedHealthcare insurance.
And no matter what I've tried. I can't get it resolved. So now I'm having my insurance company direct me to different providers to where I could get better service. My order of January 11. The transmitter should have shipped on December 10 along with my three boxes of sensors. My order of reservoirs of October 11. That order was placed on September 9 and should have shipped on September 13 by pushing it out to October. It does not allow me to get my order in December.
EdgePark has been doing this for years and years and years taking Thousands of customers to the Cleaners, and making them pay more money. And I really think someone who's in the legal field and dealing with the same issues. Should help me start a class action suit against them.
Thank You! And God bless you one to know Buyer. Beware of EdgePark medical and how they do Business once you Google review them. The owner of the company responds of how sorry he feels and how they're going to look into it and know whenever contacts you either by phone or email, and then you can no longer respond to that post And State that no one ever contacted you. You're locked out of being able to make any further comments.
I am looking for anybody in the legal field. That is a type one diabetic that can assist me in starting a class action suit against his company. You’re going to find that they’re doing this to thousands of customers.
I’m switching to a different vendor because EdgePark medical is the absolute worst third-party vendor that the insurance companies have ever used, and that includes CCS medical, who was also not diligent in working with customers and getting orders out at time we fashion, but they were better than EdgePark.
Edgepark is absolutely the WORST medical supplier! I order ileostomy supplies for my elderly mother. EVERY single order went unprocessed until I called. The first time it happened I waited two weeks before calling because I just assumed they would process it but no. I felt like I had to BEG them to process the order. It got so bad, that there were many times my mother ran out of bags/pouches and had to wear bath towels! Then they would severely limit her and tell me if was Medicare that set the limits but that wasn't true as I found out. They would limit her to ONE BOX - JUST ONE BOX of adhesive remover wipes with only 25 in a box - which is less than one wipe per day. I thought they were joking, but sadly they were not. Those wipes were about the size of a postage stamp and needed two or three per bag change which can be several times a day. They also limited her seals/rings to ONE box per month and there are only 10 seals in a box. The last order was the last straw. They held the order in an unprocssed status for 10 days. When I called, I got the complete run around. Horrible CSR with no people skills. Sounded like she hated her job. Then she told me they needed to call the doctor to get a prescription.
I informed her that they have that because if they didn't have it, then I would not have been able to order supplies the last several months. She said they needed it again to confirm she still has an ileostomy! WHAT?! Are you kidding me? An ileostomy is a PERMANENT surgery. It is NOT reversible! *&%$#! There are just no words! NEVER again. I dumped them like an abusive spouse! I won't go back. I am so much happier with my new supplier. Within 48 hours after calling the new supplier my mom had new supplies on her doorstep! I could NOT believe it! It was the largest order of supplies that she has EVER received! Additionally, she was able to get TWO boxes of adhesive remover wipes - 50 wipes - in a months order and got 6 boxes of seals/rings and 4 boxes of bags/pouches! Edgepark would NEVER EVER let me order 6 boxes of seals and 4 boxes of bags/pouches for one month. I got literally more of EVERYTHING for a single month than I ever got with a monthly order with Edgepark. It was like mana from Heaven! Every month with Edgepark when I tried to place an order, I would get red flags telling me I was OVER the limit. Their website is difficult and a complete JOKE! Edgepark needs to be SHUT down. They are awful!

This supply company is the worst company I have ever used since 2008. Horrible customer service. Rude and inaccurate information is given even when transfered to a manager which was worse than the reps. Management here is where the problem is stemming from in the first place. I tried and tried to get help to rectify the product ordering problem and the management continued the same fake problem as before. They keep telling you the exact same thing which was wrong, inaccurate and incorrect. When I would explain the management would just passify me u ntil I finally had enough and called promedica medical supplies which on the first call in 3 minutes completed my order and sent my doctor the form to sign.it was so easy to do I still don't understand what there issues are and were with edgepark. I would NEVER EVER TRUST them again to get me my supplies that my family needs. Also they have a Extra form they send out with your order. DO NOT SIGN IT... They want your signature saying if insurance doesn't pay that YOU are responsible. Never. Can't trust a company were the problem starts with management. I would not recommend to anyone I cared about that needs supplies on a monthly bases. This company is sure to dic you around..
I ordered ensure product high protein. The gloves they sent were the cheapest gloves I have ever seen or used. I would not trust the gloves either.
BE WARNED EDGEPARK is conducting illegal business practices, and theft from customers:
I am a disabled veteran living on disability, who has had MONEY STOLEN BY EDGEPARK.
On Dec 10th, 2021, and order was placed with Edgepark Medical that included a $160 deductible. My deductible had been fully covered in the year due to hospital visits, and I have not paid a deductible all year as my deductible had been reached in Jan 21. (Edgeparks practice is to show the cost of an order if your deductible has not been met). Edgepark charged me $160, even though my insurance also paid for it. That is theft. They are double charging both insurance and customers!
In January 2022, I received my insurance EOB which showed my insurance had paid for the $160 order, as well as Edgepark taking the amount from my bank account so the order was paid for twice. I contacted Edgeparks Billing department, who after ckecking their system agreed the order was paid twice, and then stated I should receive a credit in 2-3 weeks. So I waited...
In March, I followed up with EdgePark billing department, as I had not received the credit to my account. They checked the account and apologized, as they were unsure why it had not been processed as they saw the payment from both myself and the insurance in their system. I was assured they would resubmit it for processing as a return to my credit card, and that it would be credited to my card within the next couple weeks... I waited again...
It is now May 4th, and I have not received the $160. I contacted EdgePark again today to check the status, and was informed that they don't show credit was due or being processed. They also stated they do not have insurance EOB (which they had on prior calls) to verify insurance paid for the order, and that they would need to verify it with insurance which will take added weeks just... all LIES.
This is now over 5 months in with no resolution or expected date of payment. Taking double payments from both insurance and customers is illegal.
Still Waiting...
Contact your pump supplier directly. You can order direct and eliminate this middle man that has no idea how to manage inventory or business. This company will steal from you.
Avoid at all costs... or it will cost you.
Insulin pump supplies.
I received my last transmitter on December 10,2021 and I was nervous when I saw that my next 90 day transmitter shipment was scheduled for March 16th, 2022. It showed a prescription would be required so I asked my doctor to send Edgepark an updated Rx for my transmitter and all durable medical equipment after my appointment 2/7/2022.
I at the same time ordered the transmitter online 2/3/2022 so there would be ample time to get the Rx in time to ship on 3/16/2022. My only worry then was that my transmitter wouldn't zap out in the over 90 day scheduled timing. Well little did I know when I checked Edgepark on 3/15/2022 that they cancelled my transmitter order from 2/3/2022 because the rep explained to me today that I ordered too early and they can't ship because they have to get an Rx from my Doctor. WHAT? I explained that I ordered 2/3/2022 so they'd have time to get their ducks in a row to ship to me on time and that my doctor sent in updates Rx's for my supplies early February. She then explained to me that they contact doctors for updated Rx's and things that stop prescribed items from shipping AT THE TIME the order is supposed to ship. So now my transmitter is going to zap out any day based on the alarms I've been getting.
I can't or actually won't start a new 10 day sensor that costs me a LOT of money out of pocket just to have my transmitter die and the 10 days sensor go to waste. Plus once my transmitter zaps out, my pump IQ Technology constantly looks for the signal to register my blood sugar and that drains my pump battery in a few hours which jeopardizes my insulin delivery. HOW CAN THIS BE AN OK? This is terrible customer service of critical care items! I might as well be consider going back to shots and monitoring with a glucometer.
When my Type 1 diabetic daughter went back on a pump and CGM in fall 2021, I didn't hesitate to place the orders through Edgepark because we'd used them for years with no issues.
Something significant must have changed in the years since we did business with them because they're now fundamentally an energy and time vampire posing as a medical supply company.
My experience echoes all the other reviews. They claim they're waiting for the doctor or the insurance company, but those of those trusted institutions can demonstrate what they've sent and when; Edgepark cannot.
Each time I call (and I have to call many times for every order), I get a different person and have to start over again. I had pages and pages and pages of notes documenting the weeks of effort it took to get a DIABETES PUMP ordered for a diabetic with 10 years of documented care notes and good insurance.
If the issues had stopped once the insurance approval had been obtained and she received her pump, CGM and first batch of supplies, I'd be fine with Edgepark.
They're a medical supply company. I want them to ship the same already approved things every 3 months. This is in their wheelhouse, right?
The first shipment went to my billing address instead of the clearly labeled and properly entered shipping address where my daughter resides. CSR response: "that's a warehouse issue". My response: "Please send her supplies FedEx overnight because she needs them yesterday to manage her life threatening illness."
Before the second shipment, I called in to ask that they carefully track the order to make sure it ships to the right place. The CSR opted to delete my address - the billing address - from the account. I expressed concern about the credit card going through but she assured me it would work; they have the billing address still entered, she promised.
I bet you can guess what happened next. Her second order did not ship because my credit card was denied. Was I notified? No. No call, no email, no text. They left a generic "please call us" voicemail for my daughter 10 days ago but no additional followup and nothing to me, the person whose credit card was denied.
The first CSR didn't listen well and kept saying "I don't know what's wrong with your credit card" despite my explanation that I'd had the card for 20 years, it was unexpired, and the issue was that they'd paired my name and card with the wrong address.
Once I reached a supervisor, she was able to process my card (the same card magically went through when paired with the BILLING address) and she then said "oh my. Even though your daughter's address is listed as the shipping address, it is still set to ship to your home". What the ever blazing hell do these people think a SHIPPING address is? I don't understand how this can happen. So she makes notes, orders me a FedEx overnight delivery at Edgepark's expense (damn straight), and kindly stays on the line with me until the order processes, my credit card is charged, etc.
One day later, the order still shows as "in process". My daughter is out of supplies because of the delay over the credit card.
Will she get her supplies on time? Will her health suffer because Edgepark can't ship medical supplies properly? Will Byram Healthcare respond to my inquiry to be our new supplier before Edgepark manages to get this order to my daughter?
I'm leaving you with a cliffhanger folks, but my money is on Byram.
If you are not required to use Edgepark, choose a different supplier.
If you are required to use Edgepark, know that the word "supervisor" is your only weapon in cutting through the endless, spiraling, maddening phone calls.
Medical supplies
I complained to the BBB about Edgepark charging exorbitant prices for medical supplies and got a response. I wish to share it. Edgepark said: <
My rebuttal: (avoid Edgepark if you can!)
I am educated enough to understand pre-insurance and post-insurance cost adjustments and how at first, it is simply an estimate and can change. That is NOT the issue. The issue is overall cost, with or without insurance. I contacted my insurance company which said it is Edgepark which determines pricing. So Edgepark is price gouging cancer patients to make a profit of 323%. Yes, they have a markup of 323% on the ostomy product which I use, a must-have supply. Yes, a company needs to turn a profit. But a 325% markup is simply predatory. Your CEO, Petras, has a net worth of over $100million. I hope he feels good about himself while cancer patients scrape by to afford $211 for necessary supplies that may not even last the month. Those same supplies can be purchased without insurance from Amazon for $50. (With insurance via Edgepark, I ended up paying $52 once I'd met a deductible.) I decided to shop around and found a company charging $160 pre-insurance for double the supply (20 ostomy bags vs 10 from Edgepark) but as I did more price comparisons, I found another national and reputable company charging $91 for double the supply (again, 20 bags vs Edgepark's 10). So assuming the bags cost $50 for 10, this company is profiting with a profit margin of 41%, far more fair for the consumer/patient. With insurance, I save $6 (without, I would save $311). I received my supplies just as quickly as I do Edgepark, with just as friendly of customer service employees... minus the "yeah, we charge $211" twist (but it is not Edgepark customer service's jobs to determine pricing. So I don't blame them.) So I suggest if you go with edgepark, to shop around a bit just to be certain you're getting a fair price.
