I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst ‘company' I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Unfortunately I booked through a third-party website (economy bookings - don't use them either as they facilitate this scam) and therefore did not read the countless poor but accurate reviews found on Google and Yelp.
I booked this vehicle yesterday. We were not coming from the airport as already in Miami so we had to find the ‘office' without the shuttle. This in itself was a challenge as it is based inside the park'n'fly building aptly next to the toilets. The office consists of two booths with tv screens. There is no face-face service but video conferencing which is clearly outsourced and they are reading from a script.
Upon showing your booking details they make you sign several other documents. Your insurance you have already purchased with the booking is not enough you have to pay for second insurance. Then they force the toll pass on you even if you are not using toll roads. When we spoke to other customers that said they declined this we queried and were told that this was just a ‘recommendation' when they had actually said we had no other option other than to pay it.
For two days car rental I paid $80 including ‘full coverage' insurance online. By the time I had spent 40 minutes talking to them in the booth they had already claimed I owed them another $120 dollars on top of what I already paid. At this point I walked out as i refused to pay any more towards this scam. Every other customer in the building were subject to the same hidden fees and dishonesty. All right cars had to say to themselves was to read the full terms and conditions as allegedly in the fine print they tell you you will end up paying 3 x more than what you agreed to. DO NOT USE. Considering how bad RIGHT CARS are as a company why are they still directing customers to them.
No one should book a car rental through this online booking website unless they are prepared to be fleeced. My one and only experience was horrible. I booked a car rental online through this site and no where did it say that the office of the car rental company I was picking the car up from closed before my arrival. When I realised that, I cancelled my reservation immediately but because I didn't cancel the reservation by 48 hours before pick up I forfeited 100% of the entire rental cost. Highway robbery.

I made a reservation for the wrong city by accident at 12:24 a.m. and cancelled it by email at 12:35 a.m., just 11 minutes later. After several polite requests, Customer Service refused to provide a refund or a credit for a future rental. Bad business practices... avoid at all costs.

I used Priceline.com which reserved a rental car through Economic Booking for a Thrifty rental car. To pick up my car I still had to make the line for 1hr, plus I returned the rental 4 days early since my personal car was repaired in 2 days instead of the estimated 5 days. I was unable to get my refund after calling, and even emailing proof of receipt. I lost $120. Book directly with the car company. It's not worth the headache just to save $50. Trust.

I booked an Avis rental car with this company at the San Francisco airport in October and confirmed that the rental company accepted debit cards at pick up, so I planned to use my Chime bank card and they declined it, causing me to have to rent as a walk-up to National (who happily accepted my card). My Chime card is not a pre-paid card, and is where my salary is deposited. Economy Bookings is now refusing to refund my payment (they were closed by the time I was at the airport to pick up my car, which was 6:30 p.m. on a weeknight - super inconvenient). I would run far, far away from this company, as they have no ethics (and now $192 of my cash - how do they even reconcile that in their books when it's money they received with no service given?). I'd give them no stars, if I could!

Horrible, scam, and saddening that this is happening. Why would I be expected to have proof of flight tickets if I am not flying? Shouldn't that be a question prior to making payment to stop the reservation process?

After paying in full up front they denied me the car and refused to refund me any of the 400$ I paid! I would never use them or refer them to anyone! Just bc it's cheap doesn't mean it a reputable company. Be warned.

I booked the vehicle at a certain price but I was told later that the price was changed/increased during the booking process and I had to pay extra. However overall experience was good as I was given a choice of whether to accept the change or refund the money.
I found the Economy booking web site offers very good price and really easy to use. It also give me a bit more time to write my review to the car rental company that I used in Iceland, Fara Car Rental.

Booked my rental for 9 days in calgary and this was the best price overall. I had a modification clause on the rental if I wanted to modify something up to 48hrs prior with a minimal fee. I checked the prices 48hrs before and they had significantly dropped I made the request and received my refund 1 week later. I was specticle at first using this company but I would not hesitate to use it again. The rental at the desk was easy and I was out of the airport within 20 minutes.
I had a terrible experience with economy bookings. The reservation was not ready when I arrived, there was no way to reach economy bookings to resolve the issue, and I ended up receiving no service and lots of extra charges for last minute alternative transport. Scam.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
