This site is a scam! Spent an hour on the phone with customer service when our car wasn't here and no record of it. Turns out it's at another airport in another city! Alice in customer service should be fired. Rude, disrespectful, refused to help in any capacity or pass it on to a manager/supervisor, and kept threatening to hang up because we were "wasting her time". Her time?! The company has $600 of our money! She hung up on us. We are stranded and out the money. Buyer beware!
I'm not impressed with this company. They do not have "live" customer service once you book your reservation. I need to cancel a reservation because there is a hurricane in the area (Ft. Myers). So far, they've canceled the reservation and charged me over a $140 cancellation fee! I've emailed their post reservation support (*******@bookinggroup.com), still waiting for a response. Fingers crossed they waive this cancellation fee.

Worst experience ever! They are scammers 100% When you purchase their "Full Coverage" it's not really car insurance you're getting but some sort of additional coverage that's not really needed because you still need to pay extra to get insurance with the rental company.
They have horrible customer service, I tried calling the same day, minutes after the pick up time, and no one was able to help me over the phone because after the pick up time the ONLY way possible to get assistance is via email. So I had to send them email which they responded to after 10 days with a copy paste answer from their website saying that they could not refund the "full coverage amount" because it was canceled within less than 24 hrs of the pick up time. But how could I possibly cancel before if I found out about their scam when we had to pay all that extra money at the counter! I'm telling you, they are real scammers! Honestly STAY AWAY!

On Saturday (05/18/2019) I attempted to reserve a rental car for an upcoming family vacation on economybookings.com. My visa credit card was declined so on Sunday (05/19/2019) I made other arrangements. Much to my surprise on Monday (05/20/2019) I receive an email from economybookings.com confirming my reservation. I seriously question the ethics of a company that will keep trying to complete a transaction two days after the initial attempt. Economybookings.com has agreed to refund (which I still have not received) $355 of the $394 charge, however I have an issue with being charged any amount two days after the initial failed attempt. Just to be clear, no I did not attempt a transaction on the economybookings.com website after Saturday (05/18/2019). Can anyone please help me to recover the full amount of $394.

A very fair price for a virtually new car. Good sized suv for the week. Picked us up from door at Darwin Airport Hotel. Very good efficient staff who were very helpful & friendly Credit to their company. Wouldn't hesitate to use this company next time I visit Australia. Cheers girls
After a long day of traveling and hassles with airlines, the EconomyBookings was the *best* part of our traveling. They had more than enough staff helping everyone get in and on their way, and getting your car was as easy as "pick any one in that row and the keys are in it." Their process was beyond efficient and the staff were wonderfully kind and helpful. Great experience.
UPDATE 24.10.2023: Economy Bookings have replied requesting more docs and a promise to reply.
I sent them a claim with all possible details and docs available and more than one reminder to contact me back for almost a month. Not even a decent reply, only automatic replies, despite their promise on their own website to contact customers within a few days. Disappointing and disgraceful service and not recommended.

I love traveling "savage" and therefore I have to rent cars to see interesting places. This is not the first time I use this service and I am glad that it is at a high level. Always bring the car to wherever you say and take it from where it suits you. Machines are clean in excellent condition. If nothing changes, I will use it further.
I booked a car with these guys last August 2015, paying with my Visa debit card, which was charged immediately with the full amount of the rental. When I went to pick up the car, the local rental company refused to give it to me unless I provided them with a different (credit) card for the deposit. So I called economybookings and asked them to either change my booking to a different rental company or to cancel my booking and give me a refund. Neither happened and I had to rent a car on the spot with a major rental company which, of course, accepted my debit card. Economy Bookings declined any responsibility on the basis of their terms and conditions and basically retained the payment for a service they never provided. This is a decidedly deceitful practice and one that should obviously be avoided. In the future I will tolerate the service charges of the major car companies in exchange for decent customer service and peace of mind. I strongly advise you to do the same.
We booked a car through economy bookings and on arrival at Barcelona airport we discovered the car hire company were not based at the airport. We Waited thirty mins to get a lift to an industrial park and then there was a que if 25 people in a non air conditioned office. We did not want a cheap car hire place just a vehicle if a specific size so somewhere on the booking experience they should have highlighted the car hire was no where near the airport!
We booked a rental through this company. Paid in full in advance. Had confirmation number from company and from Thrifty. Showed up and no car. Called for help. No help given - automatically sent to an email address to apply for a refund to which a response will come in 7 to 10 business days. I just want the car that I paid for. That's why I rented one. Terrible ethics and no responsibility for overbooking. Brutal.

Overall, I was really pleased with most aspects of the car hire experience. The car itself was in excellent condition and a pleasure to drive. Waiting time to be served was a little longer than I would have liked, however the staff were gracious, experienced and most polite. I will use this hire company again. Thank you.

You can't get a hold of anyone online. Been trying for weeks. No response from emails. Finally got a hold of a employee who was extremely rude and wanted to argue for me adding a day. If I cancel they keep $85.00. Not sure if I cancel if I'd get my money back. Company see extremely shady!
If there were an option to give this company 0 stars I would. For one, they sell cars that aren't available at the actual location and fail to let you know that there are other fees involved when picking up the rental. Then when you bring this to their attention, instead of them being accommodating like an actual company should, they get rude and belligerent and say you're not owed a refund. Do yourself a favor and just order from the actual company.

We booked a 4 door Toyota and pre paid the majority of this. When we arrived at the dealer (Klasswagen) they had no record of the initial payment and offered us a 2 door Fiat which we had to pay for again in full. Economy Bookings has not responded to emails asking for assistance and provide misleading information on their website (such as car size and cost).

Excellent car rental service. My friend and I met at the company counter for about 15 minutes. The machine was cleaned and it is very convenient to administer. The minimum documents that we needed to conclude a lease. The rental price is not high. The insurance can not afford to pay either

When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
