Paid deposit prior to rent. When arrived to pick up point the rental agency could not process the payment with provided credit card not could accept cash as deposit.
When contacting service desk, economy booking refused to return prepayment.
Would never suggest have anything to do with this company, be aware.
If I could give this company zero stars I would! Do not rent from this company! My flight was delayed so I ended up arriving to pick up the car late. I get to the airport & the company says that "they could not honor my car rental booking" because I had arrived a day late. NEVER EVER in my life have I been denied a rental because I showed up late. Also, this company has the worst customer service ever. I called & they told me to go to their website & contact their support page instead of immediately handling the issue. It took them WEEKS to get back to me, I constantly had to call them to get updates, the # for the US never answered, anytime I spoke with someone they were in Latvia & they said they could do nothing about it. They said that the reason they wouldn't give me a car was because I no showed and because, the #s on my cc were not raised. I did not no show & that is the most absurd thing about the #s! They gave me no refund, no credit, even after I provided documentation!
I will never consider booking from this service and I advise you should not ever give your business to them either. I had cancelled a booking over 48 hours in advance and when credited in the e-wallet I am short 16.5% of what I had paid upfront. I am entitled through the cancellation policy to a 100% percent refund. Their agent says I have been shorted because I purchased a last minute cancellation. There is no mention in any of the emails regarding the booking about last minute cancellation. All in all, last minute cancellation charge would apply if I had cancelled less than 48 hrs.
I reserved a car at Fort Lauderdale airport 9/28/24 for pickup on 10/16 at 11PM. My booking was active, my flight was early. I ran to the FOX counter to beat the line (10:15) and I was not in the system. I left the line to call Economy. The rep said that my res was active but I can get a refund. I needed a car. Back to the counter...the man pulled it up by the FOX res # and the screen showed I was canceled. He said that FOX never cancels and he's out of cars. I've booked with FOX before with no problems. I called Economy again. This rep also said that my res was active. She offered a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. No supervisor. I said I NEED A CAR! She said that I could request a refund. OMG! She asked if there was anything she could help with. I had a great deal so they sold me out. I looked online and none of the rental car sites had anything available.

I booked a rental through EconomyBooking and selected their "Cancel Last Minute" package, which I believed allowed me to cancel up to 1 hour before pickup and receive a full refund. However, upon canceling, I was only offered a credit, not a refund to my original payment method. This was hidden deep in the terms, and the website's language is extremely misleading.
To make matters worse, I contacted customer service to resolve the issue and requested a refund, but after over a week, I still haven't received any response. The entire experience has been frustrating, and I feel deceived by their unclear policies and lack of communication. I would not recommend booking with them unless you want to deal with misleading information and unresponsive customer service.

The booking process was straight forward and easy.
Europcar at Margaret River and Perth International airport-service staffs was very friendly and helpful.

Booked rental and paid in advance. Went to pick up rental at my destination and rental not available. Had to rent from another company. Then had to return to airport next day and return new rental. Then pick up rental that was booked thru economybookings (EB) because rental now available. Could never get thru to customer service for EB. I requested a refund for the day I had to rent another car. Rental company said I needed to get money back from EB because I paid them for the rental. After weeks of explaining the situation to EB on emails, they would not reimburse me. Customer service is crap. It takes a week or longer for email responses. And based on there email responses, you can tell they will never give back a refund. Using them is only good if you don't have any problems. However if you should have problems, you can expect to receive ZERO HELP FROM EB. -- DON'T USE THEM, IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

Their email did not state the address of the car rental (only said "downtown Penrith") and when we clicked the link it took us to the hertz cars when the ACTUAL car rental place was sixt (no where in their confirmation email did it say to pick up our car from Sixt) meaning we wasted money on a taxi to hertz from the train and back when we only needed to walk 5 minutes to sixt car rentals. Absolutely do NOT recommend booking with economy bookings - what a waste of time and money thanks to their incompetence

The car I rented from East Coast was practically brand new and incredibly fuel-efficient. The rental process itself was a breeze, and the best part? They even provided a shuttle to get us back to the airport afterwards. Top-notch service all around!
EconomyBookings gave us access to a car rental provider at the Chiang Mai airport that wasn't on any other site. We got a great car for a great price, and they had an option for us to pay the staff to stay late so we could rent the car when our flight arrived very late at night. Everything worked out perfectly.
We travel internationally often, and had an excellent experience with EconomyBookings.
I have never rented With this company, so I was a bit skeptical to be honest. They were extremely nice clearly not trying to cheat, which is my fear when I go to the smaller companies because they have a reputation for making the money by keeping the deposit for some weird unjustified reason. Solo is totally transparent shows all the scratches, include pictures in the contract. No fuss on delivery. All good

When I arrived at Auto Via in Reggio Calabria the agent told me that the booking that I made on economybookings.com was not valid for a Canadian Driver's license. He told me that he had to create a new booking and that the booking that I made on economybookings.com would be refunded. No other car rental company was still open at this time, so my Wife, Newborn baby and I had no choice but to pay for a new reservation. I filed complaints with Auto Via and economybookings.com but neither company responded.

Don't buy a full coverage insurance from this site. It is not fully covered and you need to buy a new one at the rental company.

On Sunday, September 8,2024, I arrived at Orlando International Airport and caught the shuttle to the rent a car site. The site is an out of the way rental office and I didn't see any cars on the lot to rent.
When I arrived to pick up my reserved rental car, I had all the required documentation. The representative stated that he could not rent me the car because he could not accept my renewed Virginia driver's license paperwork, along with my pictured driver's license.
He refused to rent me a car or refund me my deposit. I contacted Economy Booking and the company states they have the right not to refund the deposit or rent the car for a "No Show" if the documentation doesn't meet their requirement.
I requested an explanation for why the company would not accept my driver's license and they refuse to give me an answer or my refund. I had to file a disputed charge with my credit card company to receive my deposit.
Also, beware that the company charges you $10 dollars a day if you use your own insurance and there are a host of other charges, they will hit you with when you arrive at the rent a car site. In my opinion, this is not a credible rent a car company and I will never book another reservation with them.
I gave it one star because I had to give it a star rating in order to have it posted. The company doesn't deserve any stars.

I booked a car through them and when I showed up on the same day as agreed at the car rental company they hired the company said I only had 2 hours from noon, mind you there's nothing on economy bookings contract mentioning 2 hours because I would have never agreed to it. I even send the rental company and email earlier in the day letting them know Iwas coming. At the point Pricecarz, which is a local very small rental company tried to hike my price prom 780.04 euros to 1720 euros. Your standard bait and switch. So now, we just arrived in a new town and were without a rental car because of their shenanigans. Don't put yourself in that situation and just stay away from those guys.

Refund is first a "credit" to be used at another time with them. So this so called credit goes to a "wallet". Then to actually get credit to your form of payment you have to go back and forth with email and links, the instructions are not clear and wording is very tricky. Then it says credit was posted but may take several weeks. Beware.

I was trying to book a same-day rental car for myself and my sick mother to get from Chicago to Sioux Falls, SD. I took a call from the hospital while booking, and the website reset the return point back to Chicago after I hung up. The rest of the info stayed the same: price, vehicle type, dates, etc. It wasn't until after receiving the confirmation email that I realized the location had changed. Which was a problem, because the discount rental place they connected me to doesn't even allow drop-offs to the town I was going to. I called customer service five times before the pick-up time, and was dropped while on hold for four of those calls. Once I got an agent, I explained the situation and he said it was simply not possible to do a refund. I hadn't used the vehicle. The company is out nothing. Yet they still refused a refund. I sent a dispute into my credit card company, and I'm hoping for the best. For everyone else, don't risk it. The company is pure trash.

Answer: They do not just delay. When something goes wrong, they never intend to make good ony any of their promises: they do not call or write back, they do not follow up, and sure as hell they do not pay you anything unless you force them to, and that (in my experience) can only be done via the courts. This company is rotten and everyone should stay away from them.
Answer: Economy Booking is based in Europe and is impossible to deal with. I would never use them again. I got my money back (the down payment taken off at the time of booking) by using better Business Bureau and going after the US rental company.
