Do not pay in advance!

I booked a car for 12 days and payed EconomyBookings with a virtual card. When I came at the counter of Alamo, Alamo did not accept the same card I payed with and I didn't get my car. I asked for a refund or voucher but EconomyBookings did not want to give me. I asked today if I can have a car for the remaining five days but they told me no. I will never use EconomyBookings again. They took my money and I got nothing in return. It totally destroyed my holiday plans.

It is a scam

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! IT IS A SCAM! We booked a car a month prior to the trip through the site. We showed up at the airport in Riga where we were told by Enterprise that no car is available. Speaking to Economybookings customer service, they simply said that "something must have gone wrong, fill out a form and you will get refunded". Please note that we had received a confirmation email and money had been drawn from our card already. Following the incident, we filed a form that took 5 days to get a reply to. The company did refund the money but offered nothing else as compensation (the car we managed to book on site in Riga was 2.5x as expensive). Worst I have been treated as a customer.

Scammers.

If you book here you will not receive any confirmation email. All they send is an email with 1 button. When you press that button, money is immediately withdrawn from your credit card. There is no way you can get this money back. Immediately after it happened I called but with 0 results. I was within 24 hours of picking up the car and therefore not entitled to a refund. What they could do for me was send an email with where and how I could pick up the car.

Update/Answer.

So you say: It is my fault and you dont care i payed for a insurance i didnt want. You got the money and not even think about it to give it back? That is what you say! Scammers. That is what your company is. Nothing more nothing less. SCAMMERS!

I booked a car rental for 11 days in August in Spain through the Economy Brookings website. OK Mobility was chosen as the car dealer. When I came to get the car, I was told I couldn't get it without an international driving license. I had no international license and that's entirely my fault. As a solution, I selected one of my friends with an American driver's license to be the main driver. It was impossible to make the change since the booking was made through Economy Bookings - and there is no option for making those changes on the company website and I cannot speak to anyone at EB about it. As a result, I made a new car rental reservation with a different company and paid EB the full amount even though I didn't take the vehicle. Even more disappointing was the fact that EB declined to compensate us even partially for a car we didn't take. Due to EB's lack of communication with its clients, we had no choice but to pay the full amount. My recommendation - don't ever use EB services - it will cost you dearly in the

I reserved a car at Fort Lauderdale airport 9/28/24 for pickup on 10/16 at 11PM. My booking was active, my flight was early. I ran to the FOX counter to beat the line (10:15) and I was not in the system. I left the line to call Economy. The rep said that my res was active but I can get a refund. I needed a car. Back to the counter...the man pulled it up by the FOX res # and the screen showed I was canceled. He said that FOX never cancels and he's out of cars. I've booked with FOX before with no problems. I called Economy again. This rep also said that my res was active. She offered a refund. I asked to speak to a supervisor. No supervisor. I said I NEED A CAR! She said that I could request a refund. OMG! She asked if there was anything she could help with. I had a great deal so they sold me out. I looked online and none of the rental car sites had anything available.

" legal " scam

Prior to booking, I spoke to an agent to get more information and I mentioned that I wouldn't be in need of an airport shuttle or other transportation to the pickup location. I say this in order to prove that this agent KNEW that I did not have a flight and never mentioned that in order to rent the car that a flight was mandatory. Neither was this mentioned on the website which let me book with no problem despite not having a flight.
Long story short, they did not let me pick up the car, which is understandable because it is policy that it was necessary to have a flown in to Illinois to pick one up however, they refused to give me any type of refund for this issue or offer any other option to resolve the issue. $400 down the drain all because an agent and a website were incapable of communicating and informing on company policy. Scamming your customers is a horrible way to go about business.

You'll never get a refund

I paid extra to rent an automatic. Rental day comes and no car is available. I submitted a claim that day and here we are, 28 days later with no refund. Run-around stall tactics. Totally unprofessional and unethical behavior.

Insurance scam
June 19, 2024

Today when trying to pick up the car from Carwiz, I was told that the insurance coverage I bought is not valid in this company and I must buy their insurance which is 30 EUR/day. And any minimal scratch will be valued at minimum of 1800 EUR and I will be charged immediately charged for this if such thing happens. In the end I refused to take the car with those horrible terms.

As a result my day was wasted as I ended up in 10+ hour bus rides. I was clearly misled by the Carwiz and it the responsibility of Economybookings to handle this miscommunication.

I wanted a full refund of my money and my time but the support keeps telling me nonsense

It is a SCAM

I search the website and noticed that Economy Booking has of the cheapest offering for car rental. I took the option of full insurance coverage + free cancellation with a total of US$798.73 (22 days in Europe). I paid a deposit of US$42 and it show that I will pay US$756.73 at the counter when I collect my car. But when I logged into the economy booking website and view my account, to my horror, it indicated that I have to pay a full amount of US$798.73 and still have to purchase protection option. Thus, I then choose the "cancel" option on their website and to my horror again, I have to pay US$26 for cancellation fee and then the remaining amount will credit into the e-wallet in economy booking website itself. Basically, the amount of US$42 is NON-refundable at all. Please avoid economybookings.com or the bookinggroup.com as it was a fraud!

I would like to warn all customers of this website, which is operated by a group of swindlers and scammers. This is what happened to me during my visit to Bosnia, where I made a reservation, paid 100 euros, and requested the car at Sarajevo Airport. When I arrived there, I did not find anyone in the company with which the car was reserved, and I had to visit them in the morning. They assured me that there was no reservation and that this company had a lot of problems with us. When I contacted them trying to recover the amount paid, they told me that I could not do that because it was my fault, and this is of course a reason to laugh. Unfortunately, I did not find a headquarters for them or any office for their cases, so I warn everyone against dealing with these people. Scammers

Do not make a reservation from this website. Because even if you make the cancellation on time and in accordance with the rules, they do not refund your payment, they keep it in a place they call "Wallet".

If they stated this from the beginning, there is no problem. But they don't.

This website is a kind of fraud. I have not received a refund for the case I will describe below for more than 4 months. And their support team never responds, they are very good at spinning the ball.

Their scam operating profits may be more than their actual operating profits.

STORY:
On 24 February 2024 I rented a car through the economybookings.com website.

Before renting, I checked for free cancellation. 2 days before the free cancellation date, on 26 February 2024, I cancelled the booking due to a change in my schedule.

I then saw that the refund was made not to my credit card but to a place they call "Wallet".

I wrote to Economybookings.com about this through various channels, but you gave me answers like "you can still cancel" "check our cancellation policy". The problem has not been solved for months. They haven't refunded my money for months.

Order a car through the componey for family vacation. When arriving to pick the car the rental componey ( ECH) refuse to give a car when claiming that names on documents not match But they had no problem to give a new car order with more than double the price i made with Economybooking. When asking the money back (pre payment and full coverage i already paid) they refuse to do so while i didnt got the car and hiring never was done.- shamless and sad that such componeys exist and give such poor service

Overall i got a car but it was huge issue with an insurance where i spent extra money for new insurance from car rental. I booked a car via economy bookings on Madeira with full coverage insurance as i do always because don't want even to think about any possible damages, theft or whatever. Story started when it i was at pick up desk of rental company where i was asked if i want insurance coverage. I was surprised of it but long story short. Economy bookings did fraudulent action and giving misleading information where they stating that car was booked with full insurance. In fact it was third party insurance with excess of up to 1700EUR that's what "Full coverage" for economy bookings and that's what i think misleading. Eventually i had to buy a real full coverage insurance from rental company. I tried to explain my case to economy bookings my case and that i want my money for insurance, that's the only answer i got "As you have taken our Full Coverage option, your excess is covered by this product in case of an insurable event up to a maximum amount of 1 700 EUR." and then they started ignoring me. Awful experience of the support, fraudulent car insurance policy of the company. Will never do it again and not suggesting because at the end the prices at the company which i rented were the same but the process much more transparent and honest.

Scam Company- beware!

Two weeks ago, we arrived in Houston to pick up a rental car that we had purchased and did a pre check-in for. Upon our arrival to the rental car company, they told us there were no cars to rent (confusing since they asked us to complete the pre check-in prior to our flight just a few hours before). There were no cars in their lot or any if the other rental car lots. We were told it was due to an influx of people attending the Texans game and a national baseball tournament being held in the area. We had reserved our car weeks before but at that time it was clear they had given our car to someone else. We were on a timeline for our daughter's college visit and needed to get to our destination, so we asked about a refund. The car rental company said that since we had made the reservation through economybookings.com, we would need to contact them about the refund. We did so right away from the airport, initially, we were told to fill out an online form and that someone would be getting back to us. We were asked to submit an explanation and after two weeks with quite a bit of back-and-forth, we were told that we would need to contact the airline about getting the rental car refund. However, our flight was on time and had nothing to do with us not being able to get a rental car. We tried to explain the situation multiple times, but to no avail.Economybookings.com continues to refuse to reimburse us for the cost of a rental that we never got or never made a rental agreement with. Very unprofessional and unbusiness like. Sadly, we have learned a difficult lesson, but I would like others to know to be cautious about using third-party vendors when renting cars or making reservations. Definitely do not use economybookings.com!

My Experience

I arrived to the airport of Luxembourg to pick my car in Europcar and I received the surprise that even thought EconomyBookings had sent me a confirmation, there was no car for me. This caused me big damages and delays. I am still waiting for the refund of the prepaid amount. It is impossible to contact them by phone and they do not reply to my mails. I strongly recommend to avoid working with this company. 11 days after this I have not get my money back yet. They will provide me with an answer in 28 labor days. Europcar confirmed they receive the booking request from Economybookings but they did not accepted as they did not have cars, however economybookings never communicated it to me and did not send me back the 68 euros already charged. Dear reader, be really careful.
