I booked through EconomyBookings expecting a straightforward rental process, but the experience was nothing but frustration. Their website is full of unclear and misleading information—especially around their cancellation policy, which is written in a way that makes it nearly impossible to get a fair refund. What they advertise and what actually happens are two very different things. Please but please don't loose your money!
I lost $1200 dollars:
I rented a car on this web site ( economy bookings) they told me what kind of car I would expect. I even received confirmation the day before my arrival at the aeroport at Mexico city, and as you can Imagine they gave a smaller car telling me thats what it happens when you rent a car in this web site!
When I contacted economy booking, they told me to file a complaint on their website in order to be refunded: guess what I was never reimbursed after several calls and several emails trying to contact them!
They have cero customer service nobody answered me after that; nobody contacted me after that!
I lost my rental money and that day at the airport with no car to rent it was a nightmare trying to find another one with all my family waiting on the street!
Please listen to me don't do it otherwise you will loose your money and they will give you something you never rented…..

If could give them negative rate, I would do it. We booked a rental car to pick up on July 04,2025. Under the policy we agreed with, they never mentioned that we need to follow the rental company, or we need to pay extra for insurance. The company they use will try to charge you hidden fees for insurance and also tell you sorry we have different policies than what's on the website you need to speak with the agency, not us. Worst customer service especially at the rental place called Routes Car Rental - 3035 Orlando Dr. Mississauga *******994 very incompetent staff that work there that have zero customer service experience and any knowledge. They are trying to hide you the correct policy and play around with the policy to catch you. Then later, when you don't want to give the rental company the extra hidden fee, and end of having no rental car. They use that against you for no-show and deny for refund. Please protect yourself from this company.

A total scam

I booked a rental car through EconomyBookings for a 1 a.m. pickup at Palermo Airport in Sicily. The booking was confirmed, and my credit card was charged without issue. However, upon arrival, I found the rental desk closed—with signage indicating it would not open until 8 a.m. With no available staff or car, I was forced to take a taxi instead. Despite immediately contacting EconomyBookings to request a refund for the service they failed to provide, I've now waited over ten days without resolution, despite numerous emails, calls, and form submissions. To be clear, I did not cancel this reservation—EconomyBookings simply failed to deliver what I paid for. The car I booked for a specific time was not accessible, yet the company still charged me nearly USD 400. It's unacceptable to take payment for a service that was clearly unavailable and then ignore follow-up requests for reimbursement for more than 2 weeks. I made a booking trough them and they took my money.Spammed me with emails to make the payment even tought they already took my money and made the reservation When i went to pick up my car they canceled the reservation. STILL have my money and no one responds to my emails or any other kind of comunication channel I ended up having to book in person in the rental company and paying a lot more.

Misleading

The price advertised and what I ended up paying was absolutely not the same - but I went with it as I was desperate. Until 3 says before the pick up, I thought I had been scammed as no one had heard of that rental company and I couldn't find it on the web. I also had to chase up for a phone number (for the rental company) and details of exactly where I was going to be met and collect the vehicle as that info was not provided with the voucher.

They approved my claim of about $1300USD, however provided a credit in their "e-wallet". In order to get the actual money, I had to request a wire transfer. That was done on April 29th and I have still not received the money(May 21). I have attempted to contact them multiple times and the last response was that I should check with my bank on the status. However, they have never provided me with any tracking information whatsoever. They expect me to call my back with ZERO information in order to trace the transfer. I'm worried I will never actually see this money. TERRIBLE CLAIMS PROCESS. DO NOT USE THEM!

Awful experience

I don't see the point of having another proxy in front of a rental company, the price was exactly the same as if I paid directly, however I was unlucky to damage the car and this made the whole lot harder to deal with the situation. Firstly, you have to pay all the costs to rental company off the pocket. Then you need to raise a full coverage request which they say will take "up to 35 days to process", which is actually not accurate, they will take longer. In my case, it's still opened and pending (since April, 8th). We have already contacted customer support multiple times through the help center form and by phone, but no one has addressed our case. It seems that when everything goes smoothly, good reviews follow, but when a real issue arises, there is no real support. Everywhere I get just automated replies and not real one reply.
Going directly with full coverage would be so much easier, and all that for the same price.

I ended up not being able to rent the car that I paid for because the scanner of the rental company wouldn't accept my driving licence ( it was slightly chipped in the corner). EconomyBookings kept the entire amount of my payment and refused to refund (I was asking for it minus their fees, of course). This way is easy to make a profit: Keeping people's money! There's a word for this.
Side note: I was able to rent another car on another company with no issues whatsoever!

I have written literally 2-3 reviews my whole life. This experience was absolutely one of the worst I have had, so I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't warn people.
Prior to my trip I made an online booking which included prepayment of $300, with $45 leftover to be paid upon picking up the car.
When we arrived at AddCar (the rental company) in Orlando airport, they denied having received the prepayment through economybooking. Furthermore, they wanted to charge us an additional $585 in fees and mandatory insurance, as well as a $200 security deposit.
In all our years of renting cars we have NEVER been required to purchase insurance as our own insurance has coverage already.
We got economybooking representative on the phone to speak with Addcar agent, who refused to do so. As a result, spent hours dealing with this fiasco late evening after a long travel day with no resolution. We were not about to pay triple the original online price, so we canceled with them and went to Enterprise instead. Was able to get a car hassle free for $200 However we wasted $300 on this company that we are unable to get back. We requested for refund but their response was that we did not cancel prior to pick-up time, completely ignoring the fact that the entire problem occurred at pick-up!
After this nightmare, I will only use reputable American companies. Clearly economybooking and their affiliated rental companies are taking advantage of foreign tourists/ people who don't know how things work in the US and they need to be reported and shut down.

Do not use this 3rd party company to book your hire car. Their Full Coverage & Roadside Assistance option was worthless at the rental car counter, we had to pay for it again to get any coverage. When we asked for a refund, they refused. What looks like great pricing is not avoid this company, worst rental car experience we have ever had!

Big scam, do not use them along with the other names they go by, Zizgo, nextcar, etc.
Booked a car from MIA, went to there off site airport from a shuttle, and they required unrealistic requirements to use your own insurance, so they make you use there insurance that is completed overpriced, along with the toll fee requirements. Not worth it, go with a reputable company

Fully paid for a 9 day car rental. Arrived on time with all documents, but did not get a car. Their reason: "You need a flight ticket". This requirement was not stated when I paid for this booking.
Additionally, EconomyBookings refuses to refund - even after the rental desk itself proposes for EconomyBookings to refund me.
Hence EconomyBookings appears to intentionally obfuscates, in order to pocket payments from customers (that are 100% profit for them).
