EBay Sucks

I sold an item new undamaged and the buyer claimed that it showed up broken and I didn't want to accept the return because I did not cause the damage. EBay Does nothing to protect its sellers against scammers, stay away!

Fed X problems
July 4, 2022

I recently ordered a Blackstone griddle on eBay, and all I can say is "what a mess." First time, it was marked as delivered. I I contacted the seller, and she said there had been a mix up and did I want a refund. Should have left it there. My second griddle was supposedly delivered yesterday, but it was not. I filed a claim with Fed X and contacted eBay. I received a short response back saying since Fed X said it was delivered, I could not receive a refund and the case was closed. Putting two and two together, I now believe that eBay ships all items through Fed X, and the seller does not actually do the shipping. I am out $280 and recommend you do not order from this company.

I opened a LTD company to trade on this platform, created an account, made 0 listings 0 actions and got permanent ban in 45 minutes.

Only reason I can see for ban is that I am a ukrainian person, so will try to file a lawsuit against them and will update the review with my progress.

Would stroungly discourage any small business to use this platform. Support did not even try to resolve my issues, just standard response texts.

EBay, myself, I've never used it before, but it created me with a friend who tried it and told me that it was an app that had no problems with the product and delivery names and arrived quickly in just two days, so that's a good time for five or six days at least to deal with it very, very, very well behaved and ethically very very.

Bought a $66.99 Splina liquid, not my first time buying same product but was sent to Tyler Texas instead of my address in Leander Texas.?. Called and talked with their customer service but they said I sent the wrong address and thus the item was sent at wrong location.
They were rude and offered no positive response to my concern. Looks like a computer misprint of some kind but needless to say I lost my money. I will never ever will do business again with eBay... had some issues with them also few months ago of giving out my debit card info to other companies but luckily my bank filed a fraudulent claim on my behalf but waited two weeks to recop my money. Updated info as of July 25/22... my last effort to trace my lost package... I wrote to the address in Tyler Texas where my supposedly lost package was sent... the envelope I sent out was sent back to me by the post office and it stamped... location or address non-existent? Where is the eBay money back guarantee ' then?

Sale of Defective Goods on eBay
June 28, 2022

Not only the seller refused to reimburse the return shipping cost he had agreed before I mailed the item back to him and paid the shipping cost, but also eBay was unwilling to fulfill its co-called "Money Back Guarantee Program" that a seller should be responsible for return shipping cost if the item is defective or not as described. Very bad experience! A junk yard for gold diggers!

I don't appreciate sellers who show two items, but you are only purchasing one, unless you go to selection you can be caught out like I did, eBay sellers, who do this I feel about being deceptive, so to All you eBay buyers, check before you press commit to buy

EBay decided to keep $1,575 safe for me. Car got repossessed, behind on rent, life is upside down, but Trust & Safety kept my money safe for me & for the safety of the eBay Community. I had deliberately sold two items April 06 & 07, to pay for rent & my car. I was also going to use that money for graduation. Missed graduation on May 05, car repossessed May 20, and I just got it back two days ago June 23. I talk about my customer experience all the time on my podcast. I'm going to San Jose this summer to talk about it too. Now that I have a lot more time on my hands, courtesy of the rats on a sinking ship, the unsafe marketplace, stock goes to $0, darknet that is eBay.

Amazon with the books. EBay violent & bloodthirsty with a bat ready to steal your money!

Sold an item on eBay for $27 (the item is worth about $75) The shipping was $114 15 which the buyer paid for. The sales tax was $11.64. These added up to $152.79 on which eBay calculated their fee of
$152.79 x12.9% = $19.71
So out of the $27 eBay took in fees $19.71 + $0.30 = $20.1
They made $20 and I got $7. They profited not me.
Also, they have automatic relisting so when you put your item up for auction it is difficult to remove it.

Well if you're a chinese seller ebay is THE place for you to sell junk cheap garbage and not have to deal with returns, eBay Supports these sellers by allowing them to not provide a return shipping label, This new policy requires unfortunate buyers to ship the defect/damaged items back on the honor policy, And hope they will be reimbursed, But there is no guaranty that it will happen, All seller has to do is refuse delivery of return, and you Lose both the item and all the money you payed + the return shipping fees.

I purchased a $100-dollar collectable werewolf that arrived in a poly bag CRUSHED, Seller is forcing me to pay return shipping for his lack of proper protection. F@#% eBay, I WAS a seller for 22 years, Now I'll throw my remaining inventory in trash can before listing on eBay's bull shoot website.

Useful information for those American sellers on eBay being forced to extort your personal documents information.
DO NOT do it eBay is not legally allowed to ask any of your personal documents. Even if you do comply they will use the information to steal your business and start doing it themselves. The eBay team have personal account to there worldwide they will block your legally authorized dealer selling and have there own unauthorized over seas seller and collecting all the money. By law they do not require your social number as Americans pay there own taxes! I once was forced my account restrictions if I did not give my identification which I did. My identification was then used illegally by foreign to come into America they wanted my personal bank statements my wholesale sellers direct information. My accounts never reinstated however I started to get harassing phone calls indian scammers asking for information daily after I signed up with eBay and complying with the information. DO NOT COMPLY BY LAW THEY HAVE TO RELEASE THE FUNDS AUTOMATICALLY. CONTACT THEM SAY YOU NEED AN EXACT DATE AS YOUR LAWYER ADVISED. 90 DAYS WILL NOT SHOULD NOT PASS WITH OUT YOU GETTING PAYMENT. CLOSE CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT HOPEFULLY THEY REMOVE YOUR INFORMATION IF NOT YOU CAN SUE THEM

Ebay is my favorite shopping website for my jewelry making supplies and gemstones. There's so many different sellers who have exactly what I am looking for. Most who sell via auctions so I can get what I want at really good prices.

Ebay has literally everything you could want and if you comparison shop, you'll find it at reasonable prices or win it in auction.

I was on eBay back in the late 90s and I must have had about six or seven hundred transactions and maybe one or two problems in all that time, even when you had to wait for them to mail you a check and then wait for it to clear. When it became too much like a job I sort of fell away from it for a while but kept buying throughout the years. Recently I decided I'm going to try to sell some of this stuff I've been collecting all these years so I put some items up and I had a rather old and portable microphone that I put up there and I said that it was from 1938 and it looks perfect but I have no idea if it works, would make a good display item. I also said that I don't accept returns. So a guy bought it, said that it was damaged and sent his old beat-up one back to me. EBay gave him his money back and I lost $100 on that deal. Since Ebay started that money back guarantee thing, the buyer always wins. So it doesn't pay to be a seller on eBay anymore. The buyer is always right and the seller always loses. They also took other money out of my bank account that didn't belong to them adding up to over $56. The point is... EBay sucks. Switch to Etsy

Worst client service ever, will never come back.
I asked a question by a call, the person was very mean to me and hang up after 1 minute. I explained my situation to other staff to get an explainantion, and other people from ebay told i could just leave the plateform if i wish!
No apology, they don't care, and never hepled me
