EBay has gotten horrible over the years. I have been selling and buying on there for 19 years now. The last four or five months they have made miscalculations with shipping costs to a point that they're basically charging the buyer nothing and overcharging the seller. This is happened to me four times in the last few months and never before that. They charge you a selling fee on the product and shipping. So for instance yesterday on a very cheap item that I'm not even going to bother to list anything like that ever again because it's not worth the time the shipping cost s were $3.90 and eBay charge the buyer $1.26. All of my dimensions and calculations for shipping have been put into the eBay calculator correctly on all of these issues. The past ones once I called up eBay they reimbursed me the difference of the shipping error and admitted that it was their fault. Since they've done that in the past I assumed they were going to do it again and shipped out the item to the buyer yesterday and now they will not make up the difference. I wouldn't mind if it was an item that I was making money on but this was basically a giveaway something I had listed for $7.99 that I got an offer for $5.00 and accepted it. After eBay takes their percentage that leaves me with a couple dollars which was what they miscalculated on the shipping. So eBay made money and the buyer got the item and I am in the negative after they're selling fees. I have had to spend close to 2 hours on the phone yesterday and today to try to resolve this and they will not resolve it. They have lost a customer of 19 years over about $2.50. Very poor customer service. Even after talking to a supervisor this could not be fixed.

I have tried over and over to upload a picture of the transaction but the file is too big and I cannot see to get it smaller

I'd had some good experience with Ebay several years ago... but recently I used them to buy a refurbished I-phone (Diamond Wireless-3rd party vendor) after updating my new address info online and by phone support. I ordered phone online and even after confirming my new address w Ebay phone support, it was sent to the old address 100's of miles away. I immediately notified all (Ebay and their 3rd party vendor-Diamond Wireless) that the ship to address was incorrect as soon as soon as I was e-notified it had been mailed (wasn't scheduled to be delivered for 4 days via FedEx). I had asked Ebay and Diamond Wireless to have it returned or re-routed to the correct address and Ebay said "no worries"... file a claim when you get notif it arrived at wrong address. The clueless person at Diamond Wireless said, "Oh just mail it back and we'll refund". Ebay supervisor claimed it was covered by some kind of "built-in" delivery insurance (pure lie). Diamond Wireless is even worse than Ebay... caveat emptor. I did notify Ebay and Diamond Wireless again when FedEx sent me notif of delivery to wrong address and Ebay immediately denied claim. Poor customer support and supervisors who simply lie to cover their rear ends. Ebay and Diamond Wireless are very simply crooks in my opinion. I ended up taking a day off work to drive 400 miles round trip and spending $50 on gas to retrieve the package from the new homeowner and mailed back to Diamond Wireless w return notif. At my expense. DW still tried to hang onto my $$. CAVEAT EMPTOR. If you buy a refurb phone on Ebay beware. I ended up using Back Market, not Ebay, and I got an excellent product with excellent support. I would give Back Market 5 stars. Ebay gets no more business from me.

Avoid buying expensive stuffs on eBay!
I got scammed with a a laptop, it arrived block and I asked for a return and eBay provided me with the QR code and i suggested to get a insurance shipping label but the seller was highly aggressive and abusive and he denied my suggestion so I contacted eBay costumer service and they told me not to worry, if the item got lost they were going to refund me because I used their QR code and I sent back the item and the item got stuck in transit and then lost. I contacted eBay and this seller opened a case about the item and sent a letter from "usps" saying that I never dropped off the package, when I have a receipt and witnesses from usps that saw dropping off the item they refused to believe me, even when I sent screenshots from this scammer threatening my own life, he told me "he knows where I live" and they still closed the case in the scammer favor and they don't want to refund my money, even though I already gave up the item and my money, i spoke with the usps inspector from my local area and he wrote me a letter saying that did dropped off the item and they still refused to pay my money which was a total amount of $1316.09 so i basically got scammed and eBay won't help even if they know this "seller" is a scammer they are protecting him, and not helping their costumers. Never buying on eBay and I hope this experience help you to not commit my same errors, DONT TRUST EBAY, in the pics you can see how this scammer was treating me!

On item detail page ebay writes "Ebay Guarantee" with big font and make the customer fool like me.
I have purchase one 32 GB Samsung memory card from ebay. After purchase I found that it's not original card. Print made on card was removed by just touching with the finger.
So, I have raised the claim with id ******* to ebay on the next day of item received. First ebay reject the claim with the statement item was in manufacturer warranty, So I need to contact Samsung.
Then I go to Samsung service center they told me that it's not a Samsung card, so you need to contact merchant.
Then I contact seller by ebay email, I didn't get the reply for 5 days.
Then I called to ebay then have given me seller number and told me to try to contact seller for 5 days. Seller was not receiving the call but still I need to try for 5 days.
After 5 days I called to ebay then they told me that they will try to contact seller and will update the status with in 2 days.
After 2 days I didn't get the call, so I called to ebay and asking for the refund then they again tell me to wait 7 days.
After 7 days I called them and they told me to send the pictures of card on '*******@ebay.com'.
After sending the email I got the call from ebay and they executive told me that I will get the refund with in 7 days.
I didn't get the refund for 10 days, so I called them again then they told me that your claim was rejected because item was in manufacturer warranty.
Then after explaining whole case they told me that no one called from ebay and grant the refund. Due to call recorded previous call was recorded and I have start the recording during call the prove that I got the call from ebay executive. Then they told me to wait more 2 days.
After 2 days I called them again and again got the same answer, After listening the audio clip of call they told me to wait more 7 days.

I am so frustrated with this type of service. For every reader of this review I only suggest that never buy anything from ebay. Ebay guarantee is a big scam and never help out in trouble.

I had my bank account hooked up to my eBay account simply to make one purchase it was for my mother I bought some leg massager things for her because she had been in a lot of pain, well unfortunately my account was hacked one day and I never even knew anything about it until it was far too late and my bank was overdrawn four hundred dollars. I was told if I found the order number or whatever that I could be refunded well once I got that I called customer service because by this time it had already been a month which was far too long for me to contact my bank about this and have them resolve it (woohoo) so the woman on the phone was extremely rude told me I was wrong and my account wasn't hacked and I told her I wasn't the buyer or whatever because whoever hacked my account had made multiple listings of the same product and the people who bought it didn't receive that product, she said I know you aren't the buyer but there were multiple accounts used to make the purchase so I can't do anything to help you and kept telling me my info must have been leaked some other way When I never had my bank info ANYWHERE ELSE. So that was really messed up and still today I am negative four hundred something in my bank account and there is nothing I can do about it! Thanks eBay. Oh and come to find out that your supposed to have some charge go to your account and then tell them the amount that it was to verify your account before even being able to become a seller so why that never had to happen for my account to be charged in the way it was is beyond me!
