Ebay really has done quite well in COVID regarding being able to contact support for its sellers. The problem being that is all lost, all wasted if they are not supporting the sellers that sold 50,000 items (personally packaged every one by hand) and been with them over 20 years!
When a buyer abuses an Ebay policy you can not then say ah yes we can see that's the case but we are going to make you personally pay for it - that's real abuse. You really after 20 years have not moved on your still operating in a Corporate bully boy way and the reason for that is because you can! And for that reason I removed 880 listings today and closed my shop - because I can - In fact it does not suit me at all in any way but otherwise I got to live with myself accepting you can cheat me and bully me because even though you know you are in the wrong you can do - disguisting absolutely horrible. You forced my hand because I otherwise feel I am accepting whatever even against your own policies you decide to throw at me and then you can treat me like worthless rubbish so you clearly tried and this time you can't, well not without some consequence. I hope this guides other people about how strongly your willing to support the policies you made up - In this case where you clearly know I'm in the right the policy is 100 percent worthless and you allow the buyer to abuse it at my expense. HOW CAN I TRADE WITH YOU - TELL ME
I can say they deliver what they show on their site. Need to improve their delivery time took over a week to deliver my parcel.
I love this product and best product i love it this is my best experience you are the best seller in the ebay
I have been selling on ebay for over 5years. At first all was well... we use it to fundraise for animal rescue centres. However, over the past 18mths it has deteriorated substantially. Firstly 'stealing' 10% on postage costs (still arguing that one with trading standards), then, no longer is 100% feedback enough... they moved the goalposts so that despatch times, communications with sellers etc., were all included in the childish 'seller dashboard'... now they have moved the goalposts yet again... to penalise any sellers who cannot fulfill an order. Recently we had 3 items which sold... but we could not locate them. I issued immediate refunds, explained the situation and all 3 buyers said they still wanted to purchase if we located the item. Within a week I found 2 items, relisted... messaged the original buyers... who both purchased. We still have 1 item we cannot find. However, all three items are now counted down in 'seller dashboard' and as a result we are deemed 'below standard'... thus not being able to take advantage of free listings... which are crucial for fundraising. As I write this, I am speaking to ebay tomorrow, but will close our account and our paypal account if ebay do not see sense. I appreciate that ebay is not a charity... but they are now bordering on 'ultra greedy'... plus, many of the sellers, although supposedly selling from the UK are actually selling and despatching their goods from China. We will not sell, nor purchase from China as their human and animal welfare issues are abysmal. Selling on ebay is becoming more and more tedious and takes me back to my 'homework' days... but, sadly, I am too long in the tooth to be dictated to by 'tutors' who have absolutely no idea what they are doing. We will lose a lot of funding if we do not sell on ebay... but we will all have more time to maybe do the things that can be more important... like enjoying spare time instead of being at the beck and call of ebay, buyers, answering questions, keeping buyers happy... whilst 'toeing the line' with the growing ebay dictatorship!
Ebay sellers are currently fighting a losing battle against buyer fraud on Ebay, and why can't their be a rating system allowing sellers to rate their customers. A recent telephone conversion with a member of Ebays customer support team left me disgusted, I was told "their is no way that a system will be put in place to allow sellers to rate their buyers as we will loose buyers which happened before and is why the system was removed" If sellers do report a buyer an they are investigated, due to data protection they will not get any kind of feedback whatsoever regarding the investigation which may or may not have taken place.
Online selling across all ecommerce platforms knowingly is becoming increasingly competitive, more so on fee based shopping channels with their manipulating systems and high seller fees. Unfortunately Ebay only makes the competition that much harder as the non existent seller protection keeps ebays turnover from falling and the sellers taking the losses in their favour.
I believe their is a way we can allow sellers from all online ecommerce platforms to record and search for suspected dishonest buyer claims. Thorough a data base which would be accessed through registration, allowing for verification of the user and in line with the data protection act. Once live for a short period of time and presuming that people are willing to enter data in regards to buyer claims the data base will enable read outs on Usernames/UserID's, including information such as returns, lost parcels and a whole list of other similar statistics. It will grow to enable many other types of statistics to be generated within the unfortunate area of online fraud. The statistics which we are not informed of by many companies due to a potential loss of their customer bases will be readily available and could potentially be an invaluable source for many businesses with concerns in regards to fraud online. Your comments would be much appreciated regarding this and if you are a person willing to enter data in a simple way please say and thank you for your interest.
Chinese Ebay seller did cheat us... and Ebay afterwards does it once more not complying with their Money Back Guarantee
For Ebay to know this story belongs to appealing case SR# *******2921
As ordered by Ebay... I did supply the tracking number provided by the shipper.
However... after a long wait... Thailand Post told me that the parcel with tracking number RR*******TH was refused by the recipient.
What does Ebay really want an already frustrated buyer to do as the buyer did follow Ebay's instructions correctly.
In fact firstly the buyer is cheated by a Chinese seller and afterwards Ebay does the same not complying what is promised.
Does Ebay really think buyers to be stupid?
Ebay gave the buyer advice to send the items back to the seller which was done providing a tracking number... to receive later a confirmation letter of receipt.
I went to Thailand Post Office last week... to hear that the seller refused the parcel.
HOWEVER... THE PARCEL IS IN CHINA!
This cannot be the buyers problem as the buyer did comply Ebay's orders a buyer in Thailand is not able to force a fraudulent Chinese seller to accept a parcel in China.
Ebay is completely wrong but we will proof by a document of the Thailand Post that the seller refused to sign for and/or accept the parcel.
I refuse to contact the seller he/she is an uncivilized Chinese having insulted me already too many times.
Ebay's Money Back Guarantee is a complete joke due to the fact that Ebay afterwards obliges the buyer to proof the seller did receive, or to force the seller to receive... meanwhile the tracking numbers provided are too many times not updated by the shippers... if not... the already fraudulent seller repeats to be incorrect.
Ebay may be stubborn in this case however I recommend buyers to be stubborn as well by stopping to buy on Ebay!
Astonished and annoyed!

MONEY HUNGRY SPITEFUL WEBSITE!
Avoid avoid avoid if your a seller for the LEAST little issue your account will be blocked Or restricted! The fees are daylight robbery do NOT sell your'll make NOTHING!
For any sale you make eBay will suck it all away and your'll have pennies!
If you do not pay your fees they'll pass your details on without your permission to a debt collection agency who then charge ANOTHER ADDITIONAL FEE!
Before this your'll be HOUNDED with messages phone calls and emails reminding you to pay these eBay people have no shame! Disgusting people!?
All eBay cares about is money nothing else any Bull$#*! and they'll throw you to the dogs!
EBay DO NOT in anyway support sellers they are buyer friendly and always side with the buyer!
I've sold on this site for years and as Of recently have been met with numerous issues because of lying scam buyers and now they've introduced a refund fee so if a cheap $#*! buyer decides to change their mind you have to PAY to refund them! And it might not even be your fault!
Sold another item and the buyer lied stating the material wasn't as described eBay intervened and let the buyer KEEP the item and gave them a refund!
Despite me providing proof of postage and documents to support everything and photos of the parcel! Speaking to staff on the phone and trying to resolve! Never again!
Buyers know the eBay buyer protection system and LIE to get free items and eBay is so dumb and believes them!
After any sales your funds are held until doomsday weeks after the sale beyond unfair! If anything goes wrong they are quick to steal your hard earned money!
I've used this site for years as of the recent treatment will no longer be using this site to sell! The fees are horrendous forever increasing and they treat sellers like crap! AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Use other selling sites elsewhere. FOR YOUR SANITY! DO NOT USE! Your'll only end up losing money and giving yourself headache!
EBay? More like scumbay! The staff should all Rot in hell!
Just wanna say thank you ebay, I got mah whole furniture from ebay and they are good.
My account was closed after I sold PRADA purse with authentication card but buyer requested a return saying it is not authentic. I offered a return under a reason "changed my mind" but buyer did not wanted to pay return postage and contacted to eBay. Ebay closed the case "not authentic" and sent a decision only under "not as described" (all 12 pictures presented with a full description of the item), but what is important- here was no such case open at all, but a decision came only on never existed case! By eBay rules a buyer can not open a second case for the same item but eBay did: they sent a refund and closed my seller's account- my account is restricted to sell! Nightmare: this decision is final, could not be appealed. At any cases eBay is ignoring all seller's comments, otherwise he is loosing his voice at all!
EBay is perfect for a buyer, specialy for an unhonest one: whatever he say- eBay takes it as a truth, without any proov. All cases goes to favour of a buyer! EXCELENT TO BUY, GET ITEMS AND MONEY BACK: SHOPPING FOR FREE! All you need is money to pay, but after the item arrives- claim a return under reason of " NOT AS DESCRIBED"- do not worry about proving anything- you will get the refund and often keep the item!
Never shop with ebay, ebay deliver fake products, i have purchased a Sony xperia v3, ebay, ebay delieved fake Sony mobile made was verizona
I am a relative newbie to eBay and in principle I think it is great. Great idea, great mobile app and some great finds to be had out there in cyber auction land.
But...
My beef is that I don't think their customer service is up to scratch.
99.9% of people operating on eBay are honest, and I have bought things and had them come so carefully and beautifully wrapped that I have felt guilt stricken for the knock down price I've picked them up for. Mind you I have also sold stuff at silly money myself and diligently wrapped and trotted of to the post office as soon as the 99p hit my Paypal account! So that's all good. That's when eBay is doing what it should do and is at its best. But I just don't feel they are able to address problems. Even relatively simple ones.
An issue I have had twice now is getting something that is significantly different in quality to what was advertised. When this happens eBay customer support are great at getting on to the seller and advising you that if you return the item you will get a refund. The problem is the item must be returned by tracked mail in order for the process to work. The actual dispute resolution process requires the tracking number. And also if you are dealing with someone who has been less than honest in the first place, well, let's face it you are going to want to track your return.
Tracked mail is expensive. I have had to pay £13.45 to get a refund of £45. I took the hit on this one because it was a private seller and I felt I had no choice.
I currently however have a similar situation but this time with a business seller. Commercial sellers on eBay are covered by the UK Distance Selling Regulations. But some seller and eBay itself do not seem to understand or accept this. They have asked me umpteen times to foot the bill for the tracked return of a faulty item. In this instance it will cost me half the value of the item to return it. I am going round and round in circles with customer service representatives who do not seem to understand quite rudimentary regulations and who just keep replying with the same answer.
I imagine I will eventually just give up. But also, sadly, I think I will end up giving up on eBay. It's all just a bit too much of a gamble. And it only takes you to be swindled once or twice to lose the benefit of all the bargains you have had. Which is very sad for those honest people behave within the rules on the site.
I think it will be back to Amazon for me. They really are the gold standard for customer service. A site where you really can shop in total security and knowing that you will be looked after if there is a problem.
EBay are aware of this and done nothing!
I'm forever deleting msgs and they constantly reappear!
So far all the purchase went through well. FIngers crossed

Answer: Customer service doesn't exist. They never answer, unless you're threatening to cost them big money.
Answer: It varies. Each item has an estimated date to you. Look closely at the page, underneath the item where it describes the shipping.
