I went there to purchase a few pairs of shoes and I actually found them. When I went to the register to purchase them, I asked the cashier a simple question as to whether I could have a raincheck on the free bags they were offering since they ran out of them. Suddenly the manager who was not even part of the conversation and was standing behind the cashier doing something else comes to the counter and rudely takes the coupon for the free bag from me and patronizingly points to the dates on the back and tells me: "You have to look at the dates! Do you see these dates!? When you get these coupons look at the dates! Do you see March 2 to March 5? So look at the dates next time you get these!" I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. I was going to let it go, pay for the shoes and leave, until I saw a small defect on one of the pairs and asked if I could get 10% off for that pair. Again, Lindsey interjected and quite rudely said there is nothing wrong with them! You don't get anything for that! At this point I have had it with her rudeness and attitude. I left the shoes and walked out. This woman does not deserve to be a manager. She has absolutely no people skills. She is rude, unwelcoming, and patronizing. I will never go back to this DSW again.
First of all, I have no complaint about the shoes themselves. My complaint is about the return policy. Return in 90 days with a receipt UNWORN! I bought a pair of boots at the Glade Parks store in Euless, TX. I wore them once because they hurt my feet. I returned them in less than 30 days. I did receive my refund but the store manager wiped the bottoms (which I already did out of courtesy) and insisted they had to be salvaged out. Ridiculous! She gave me the refund but explained that she would give me a refund (this time) but going forward they couldn't have the slightest wear on the shoe or no refund. I work in retail and this is bad business. I'm not blaming the manager, I blame DSW. This is the risk you take when opening a business...especially with shoes. There's no way to tell if a shoe is going to be a comfortable fit long-term in the store. A large percentage of people need to walk around in them in the real world (not just indoors) to get a feel on the foot. DSW needs to come up off the strict return policy and get with the times. Honestly, I won't go there again because I need the freedom to purchase shoes and return without strict stipulations. I wore them once and they hurt after an hour of walking around in them. I cannot recommend DSW simply because of their return policy. What are they trying to accomplish with their managers and employees? Are they training them to be the return shoe police? Never again. Lost my business.
I believe they are having financial problems and don't want to credit your account back as quickly as they withdraw the funds. I ordered two pairs of shoes for $100.62 and immediately decided I wanted to cancel. I contacted them, they hadn't even started to process the order or ship anything. They cancelled the order and a week later and two more contacts to them, I still don't have the money credited back to my account... There is no excuse for this when banking is all digital and in real time. Maybe a day for the electronic funds to transfer, it's been aweek. They will NOT REFUND MY MONEY AND I HAVE NO SHOES... I told them I would call the BBB and file a complaint, didn't phase them. THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS. Buy your shoes anywhere but here. You can find nice shoes at good prices - maybe even better prices at MACY's or other reputable companies.
I used a Visa gift card to purchase a pair of boots online. (Once I exhausted the Visa gift card funds, I threw away the card, thinking I wouldn't need a card with no current monetary value.)
A few weeks later when the boots hadn't arrived, I emailed DSW requesting a STATUS UPDATE on the order. Without my knowledge or consent, DSW notified me via email that my order had been refunded to my payment method- the discarded Visa gift card. I immediately, contacted DSW via telephone. The customer service representative I spoke with convinced me if I repeated the refunded Visa order with another card, I would be refunded on the new card. So, that's what I did. Purchased the boots again but with a different card. I was NOT refunded my original order with this second card.
These boots arrive well and good. I'm still struggling with the refund. I've contacted Supervisors, Managers, etc. They all admit DSW acted without my consent, but won't refund me in cash or to my bank account. They did issue store credit. I don't want to buy more shoes! I only needed the one pair of boots! DSW made an error, acknowledged that error, yet refused to resolve the error in a suitable manner.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed with this store! Not only is their online services difficult the coupons and promotions are horrible to existing customers I rarely order shoes but when I do I usually go into a DSW store because online is so horrible, unfortunately the location I went too was extremely unhelpful and I had no choice but to order online. Once I ordered my shoes and also placed my free cooler in the promotion code spot I was excited to receive my shoes and bag. WEEKS later I received my shoes ONLY not the bag because only using the code didnt work if I would have had someone helping me@ the store I would of received both now because the service was HORRIBLE and online even worst I didnt receive a cooler or ANY type of compensation so disappointing this company would have bad service both in store and online. I have been waiting since March 27th for two pair of shoes. They sent a partial order and shoes I ordered after that order arrived within days. They have continued to make excuses and not send the shoes, meanwhile charges are pending on my bank account for the shoes! No one answers the phone, live chat is always not available and they never answer the emails the same day! I am reduced to sending multiple emails and telling them to cancel the order which still has not even left the facility or has a tracking order!
On a previous order I received used shoes and had to send them back multiple times just to get a new pair. The shoes were disgusting- has lint and long strands of hair attached to the work bottom, and the shoes were just thrown in the box- no plastic protection!
Once my money is refunded from this complete disaster I will never online shop from DSW again! They are blaming COVID19 for everything and I understand all seriousness surrounding the virus, however the poor customer service of DSW is not a result of COVID!
I placed an order. Three minutes later, I was in a customer service chat trying to do one simple thing: change my address from being all on one line to putting the apartment on a second line. Reason being, the address will cut off and packages will not be deliverable.
Three minutes later, I'm in a chat with Terry, who tells me my order is too far along in the process to be changed. I had just placed the order minutes ago.
Terry said that the order could only be canceled. Okay, fine, I've worked a lot of retail. I get it. Cancel it and I'll reorder.
He couldn't find my payment from PayPal. Because I was trying to have him cancel it SO FAST THAT DSW DIDN'T EVEN SEE A PURCHASE YET. And it was too far in the process to edit?! Really?! I've never heard this in all my years of working retail and purchasing online. Not ONCE has this ever been an issue.
All to say, make sure your address is right. Terry did whatever, he seemed disinterested but his job sucks so I don't blame him. I do blame DSW for having a system in place that THREE MINUTES is too far into the process to put an apartment number on a separate line.

I ordered socks and sneakers and paid for two day shipping, only the socks came in. I called customer service and she said they hadn't been shipped. I asked for a refund and to cancel the order, she agreed. She called me again and told me it would come in the next day (Tuesday) so I waited and it did not come in. I called twice more… one person told me it would come in Friday, another said Monday. A supervisor told me the two previous agents put in an order replacement. They did not ask me if I wanted this, they just lied to me and said it had shipped. I never got any email with the shipping information, which the "in process" email I had prior said I would receive once it shipped. I am extremely dissatisfied with this customer service. I was lied to twice and no one gave me any concrete information on when the shoes will arrive. I STILL do not have an email with shipping information! If it was sent like they said why don't I have this information? I don't appreciate the run-around I've been getting. If it wasn't shipped just tell me and let me cancel it. If you're going to ship it then give me tracking information.
They sent an eGift card to an incorrect number and their customer service was not helpful and just wasted my time and money. Never buy eGift card via SMS.
I made my first purchase from DSW of some UGGS Slippers. I specifically asked the store employee if these shoes were seconds or were made specifically for discount stores, and was told "no, we take a loss on the sale of UGGS, as this is one of our loss leaders to get people into the store." Within 3 weeks these new slippers (worn only in the house) were failing — the fur lining in the insole was bunching up and pulling away from the edges of the insole — it appeared to have never been bonded to the midsole except around the edges. I returned them to DSW for a refund, showing them the manufacturer's defect in the shoe. This sales person said that these were indeed a cheaper discount line of the UGGS products (so the previous DSW employee had lied to me). She said that DSW is not the shoe's manufacturer and therefore is not responsible for any defects. She very reluctantly agreed to give me STORE CREDIT for the purchase. I told them that I wanted my cash back for a defective shoe, but she flatly refused. Since DSW DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS, I would NEVER again deal with DSW, as they don't sell quality products and as a result, they refuse to support their customers with the products they sell. Beware!
