I have used DPD local online for years. Probably some time last year the depot moved to Exeter. I had a missed collection with no explanation 3 months ago. Had a delivery via them more recently so it's not as if they don't know where I live.
Tried to send a parcel on Friday. The driver "Couldn't connect" whatever that means and collection not made. After long online chat re-booked for today (Monday). Same fiasco all over again. The online chat operators are helpful but powerless. They know as much about the status of the van/driver as the customer does: i. E. Zero
As you have to book online and register a mobile number it seems that the thing the driver is unable to connect to is his phone. Absolutely useless. Will not be using them again.
I sent an item to a customer and it was damaged at the delivery depot. Set up an online refund and complaint and attached ALL evidence required. This wasn't good enough for DPD LOCAL as they spent the next 4 months asking for the same evidence I had given on numerous occasions.
Because I didn't reply to their request for proof of purchase, which I had already sent (original invoice from Wicks) on numerous occasions they have closed my case. There's no contact phone no or email address and the only way forward is this useless online portal.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! DO NOT USE DPD LOCAL.
Absolutely appalling service. Bad enough that they lose the parcel but the process of claiming it involved them saying "provide this" and then after I provided it they simply reply "provide this" again. And Again. 6 times so far. They basically dont want to pay out for their shoddy service

My letter which was picked up a month & a half is still not delivered. They are still not refunding my money as they claim they are investigating.The official investigation can happen but why make the customer wait? Is there an omudsman here in UK? Please do not send anything important through DPD its a nightmare dealing with them as they are experts in passing the buck. Nothing works neither their online chat or whatsapp or email.
Absolutely the worst experience ever. Booked next day delivery, parcel not collected, parcel finally collected following day, asked when it would be delivered, assured it would be the following day, 4 days later still.no.sign of where my parcel is, no contact number for this subsidiary company, no redress, no complaints procedure, loss of goods, loss of customer, feeling very angry.
Dpd local Bicester give you an hour time slot but don't arrive.
1st excuse they couldn't find my address, 2nd they couldn't deliver, I wasn't at home, I had waited in all morning! 3rd they just said they couldn't deliver, no reason given. I had waited at my gate the whole hour, I don't believe they came anywhere near my address.They never pick up the phone, never respond to texts or emails. A complete joke they shouldn't be allowed to trade.
DPD collected my parcel on 23rd November. It stopped tracking there. I called customer service several times, who initially confirmed it "may be lost". I haven't had an update for 3 weeks. Any time I call they can't find the parcel number, reference or enquiry number on their system, which is their own number provided by them, funny enough. This shows just how organised they are. I go through an hour of a painstaking process for them to find the tracking on the system, just for them to let me know that they have no idea what has happened to the parcel.
They haven't owned up on it either. Parcel protection? It's a laugh. I haven't received any compensation yet. They seem to just let their customers wait until they have forgotten about their 300 pounds.
I cannot warn you enough of this company.

Important parcels that people are waiting for are lost. Local dpd northampton knows about the problem and does nothing about it, allowing its driver to cheat and steal

I trusted DPD local to send all my material belongings from England to Poland.
What a mistake that was!
From the start they have proven to be extremely incompetent in dealing with my order, the drivers lazy and took a few attempts to collect the stuff because they couldnt be bothered to look for the address.
They then have taken my stuff and disappeared with it, its now been almost 1month.
They dont communicate as they promise they will, there is no number to call, and they dismiss all responsability.
I have already emailed the complaints department and no one has bothered to reply.
What kind of company is this?
The online chat is a joke! The first person told me my things would be delivered in the afternoon of the 10/03, the 3rd person told me 7-14 days, then now on the email someone is mentioning 8 weeks and you are following up just simply saying that that's it and nothing else can be done. Is this a joke?

DPD local are dreadful. I should have never tried them again after the year before when my parcels got muddled up and delivered to the wrong addresses but give them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake!
I posted my parcel on 23rd November 2021. Today, 4th January 2022 and I'm still no closer to finding out where my parcel is.
My parcel got mixed up with someone else's and she collected it, not my friend. Luckily through Facebook we found each other and as DPD Local we're so unhelpful, we tried to sort things out ourselves. She had my package collected by DPD Local and I somehow received her package at my home so I sent it back to her via HERMES! She received it. I, on the other hand am still waiting… I have spent over 10 hours on the phone chasing it. Tried the online chat, to no avail. Nobody appears to be able to or wants to help me.
DO NOT USE DPD LOCAL. EVER. BIG WASTE OF MONEY, TIME AND ENERGY.
They have a picture of the parcel but it was not there bit fishy if you ask me never lost anything from that doorstep in the last 5 years, diabolical service needs regulating for sure
Proof on system driver has not even dared to attempt to deliver after tracking parcel live and and watching through window as important parcel and photo shows he has not been to my door, depot has chosen not to correct the drivers issue and driver has not been able to be reached. Terrible and disgusting service from the Basildon depot and it's drivers if your a sender would not recommend using DPD local as your customer will have the worst service and will reflect your brand. DO NOT USE!
Normally I've not had a problem with DPD but this experience has been so awful I'll never send anything by DPD again, for the love of god read the reviews and do not use this company

They have lost both of my parcels
I dropped off 2 parcels at my local drop off and got the slips as proof like normal. A few days later the recipient tells me nothing had come so I check the tracking and its still showing as "waiting sender to drop off" which I did days ago so I check the live chat and I'll get an update the following day... as you might have guessed no one got back to me. In my own time I even went to the drop off and they told me all their DPD parcels had been picked up. So I go through the live chat process again but this time no one even enters the chat, you go through the steps "await an agent" and then 10 minutes of nothing then the chat self ends
I called ever single DPD number I could find on Google and every single one of them said "Oh that's DPD Local you have to go through the live chat" over and over again I said to them the live chat isn't working how do I contact DPD local and no one had any clue
So I guess that's just it? They can just turn off their service and get to keep your parcel and money
I can't even start the returns process being the parcel are showing as not dropped off yet

So after waiting Two days for my parcel getting message sorry we missed you even though I was standing outside delivery address. Got pictures of two different streets not mine. Finally I caught the driver in street to tell me there was forklift truck driving up my street and didn't have time to drive behind it as he only got one minute to drop parcel. So after complaining by email got message would you like a call back from our friendly team with a date and time to suit, that was today between 10 and 11 o'clock. NO CALL BACK PATHETIC COMPANY NEVER UES THEM AGAIN.
Been using dpd local online for years. They very rarely miss a collection or delivery. Using them is much less hassel than the super economy delivery companies
You cannot rely on this courier, they are very unreliable. They promised to deliver my parcel on the Wednesday but never deliver and no explanation
If I could, I would give 0 stars for DPD Local Online. My parcel was in customs on the 2nd of July 2021. To contact DPD regarding a customs query (which was urgent, and I had only 5 days to act otherwise the parcel would have been sent back). I used the email address provided by DPD Local Online's contractor in Germany. Today is the 20th of July 2021 and I have NOT received any reply from DPD. I then spent 3 HOURS in the DPD Local Online chat just to be referred to 5 or 6 different Customer Service Agents with the outcome that they gave me the email address to make a complaint to the management. Terrible Service, will never use DPD again.

My story is the same, never arrived at destination, probably never left the UK, we presume it left because of the tracking. It has been 4 months, not delived, no contact through email, or phone is put down when you contact them, several times I have read the same story, money taken, no delivery and no recourse for complaint or refund.
I'm trying to collate as many people as possible who have the same expierences. Please message me asap - I'm trying to gather as many as possible to make allegations of obtaining money by Deception, I'm further reporting them to trading standards and if any one is interested passing this to a National Television Consumer programme. Please do not use DPD Online, if you have and aggrieved in any way please message me.
