Absolutely awful company to deal with. We arranged a collection 6 times and they didn't show up 5 of those and the last attempt they went to someone's else's house I mean how can a company be so terrible. We still have a customer waiting for his goods a week later! If you don't want to stress and potentially lose customers don't use DPD
DPD Local always lie about saying they try to deliver when they don't bother. We have a ring doorbell so we always know when they're not bothering to meet their delivery day. Useless delivery service. They should be honest and have actual operators on their chat function instead of stupid, useless reply servicing. 1 star is too many.
Very bad experience as an old disabled person. I was abused and physically assaulted in classic 'white van man' style. Taken to hospital with back and heart problems. Police closed investigation without interviewing me. I'm scared to leave the house.
Funeral tomorrow, need a promised item for the funeral car, 2 minutes before the delivery deadline that was promised they put a made up BS message on the tracking saying I asked for a different date! I have waited in all day, the funeral is in a few hours, you lying pieces of sh@t. I will be visiting my local depo once tomorrow is out of the way, I will show them not to lie and cheat people. I literally cant think worse of this sh@t crap company, I wish all the ill health and bad luck on all your ignorant staff
I am still chasing compensation for two lost packages, and have been doing so for 5 months. I have an email address which no one answers, my claim has been logged as 'rejected' for no apparent reason, the phone number on the website cuts off when I press 0 to be transferred to an adviser, the contact form has crashed after having spent ten minutes completing it with my complaint (and then it deleted the content) and I paid insurance for these items!
Ordered clothes suitable for post operative care in hospital from same supplier. Both parcels delivered
To wrong address and returned to 2 different drop off points in Poole. Cannot collect as I am awaiting hip
Replacement surgery next week and can't walk unaided. Customer service appalling. Surely, a company
That specialises in logistics could arrange a collection from their depot 10 mins away and redeliver to
Correct address? NO, I have to sort their incompetence out. I will NEVER employ DPD again.
As usual with DPD Local - poor delivery service, poor customer service, filled with dishonesty. A simple delivery, just a couple of boxes - first day didn't turn up. Second day lied about attempting delivery. No one that I can speak to. This is the reason that I ditched this company for my own business
They took my money and said Manpreet would collect between 14.30/15.30 today usual story I waited and waited but he never showed now I know not to trust them plus for cheaper prices are a no go... why would they go this? Why start a business with no trust... shameful..
Said my parcel would be delivered between 4:30 - 5:30 but never arrived, tracking then changed to customer refused parcel which was a lie as nobody came that day. Seller re arranged delivery for the next day and app said it was being delivered but again never came, chat online totally useless and don't know why this has happened. Still no parcel and £114 out of pocket plus 2 wasted days waiting in for parcel to arrive. DO NOT USE THIS COURIER if you value your parcel. I thought Evri were the worst but these are down there with them.
Bought a laptop on ebay. Poor guy sent it by this peace of art company. Guess what - it had stuck on collected from pickup shop... 20 days already - no item, no money back, no refund, no investigation outcome. If you want similar experience - you are welcome to join this great company. Just go to dpd online and you're one item less. Great!
I was advised my large package would be delivered on the 22/09/2023 as it's very large package I took the day off to wait for delivery. It didn't arrive, instead I recieved a message saying my parcel could not be delivered. The depot where my parcel is stoped is literally four miles from my house. I raised a complain and recived a message sying it could take 7 to 10 days to make an enquiry. I have had so many probelms with companies lately providing shoddy services and the customer support contact is always very difficult to find and ineffective in resolving issues.
Shipment Number: **************

Cost: 260 EUR + 20 EUR for delivery
I sent a package via the "amazing" DPD, and of course, I was "pleasantly" surprised when, upon receipt, I found that EVERYTHING was damaged! The envelope was torn, the foil was torn, the cardboard was torn, even the paper documents were destroyed — everything was in shreds! And this cost me 260 euros! Obviously, the courier "carefully" shoved it into the mailbox, violating all standards of handling someone else's property.
As soon as I saw this, I immediately filed a complaint, and as expected, after SIX MONTHS, I still haven't received a single cent in compensation. The support service is a whole other horror story. They either don't respond at all or delay things as much as possible. They write back late, refer me to new departments, which are, of course, "incompetent," or just respond with canned phrases: "The decision hasn't been made yet." Looking for specifics? Forget it! Every time they come up with a new excuse to make me wait again. And this has been going on for six months with each new complaint!
DPD, you have an absolutely incompetent and disrespectful support service, and your delivery service is just as careless with people's property! Damaging someone's belongings and pretending nothing happened — is that your new standard of professionalism? Months of waiting and all for nothing. Thank you for your "quality"!
Don't use DPD — you'll lose your nerves, your money, and be left utterly disappointed!
This company are an utter disgrace. Sent what is essentially an antique electronics item to Goole, Yorkshire purchased off eBay at significant cost.
The item arrived bent in half and utterly ruined. Obviously the driver mistreated it and then delivered it knowing it was likely damaged but didn't invite the receiver to check it was ok. The receiving workshop didn't open the box for several days as the item was in a queue. When he did he photographed the vandalism on display. I contacted DPD local but they were completely unhelpful and told me the period for claims had elapsed. This is around £230 worth of equipment their driver destroyed then didn't own up to it so I could claim back the cost. This is tantamount to outright theft. I suggested a discretionary good will payment but was told in no uncertain terms they would not honour my complaint. DPD has destroyed my item and it can't be replaced either, nevermind the fact they couldn't care less. Avoid this company at all costs. I hope they go down the tubes. They deserve nothing less. I couldn't put zero stars that should've the correct rating.
If you value your item then please don't use these guys.
I sent a set of ceramics, very well packaged and cushioned, to an eBay buyer recently. They were boxed securely, wrapped individually in bubblewrap and separated and cushioned with shredded cardboard and other cushioning materials. I took out the DPD Local 'insurance' to the max value of £50 to cover any loss or damage, and sent off by dropping at one of their parcel shops.
Every one of the 6 Toby Jugs inside was smashed when the box was delivered to the buyer. Bad enough you'd think, but then they wriggle out of paying compensation as described as they say now that 'ceramics' are a 'prohibited item'.
I used DPD Local as they were one of the three carriers listed when the eBay sale completed, by eBay.
These guys are not only negligent and irresponsible in handling parcels, but read their small print VERY carefully if you think they will compensate you for anything they damage. They likely will wriggle out of that. I'd just avoid using them to transport anything you value and which might not work if they throw it about. Safer to find a more professional shipper. Good luck if you do decide to risk it - they're cheap, and the old adage applies - you get what you pay for.
This is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. Complete morons took my parcel to Germany, didn't even bother ring the bell and now sending it back and I have to wait for 6-8 weeks to get it back. Are you completely absolutely out of your mind?
Had overnight delivery, for AM delivery today. At 11.40am stated parcel as delivered. Geo tag shows address delivered to as miles away, as actual delivery address is so16, also no address number given for address package was supposed to have been delivered to, as picture just shows outside of flats, the reciever was stated as Sparrow, which is name of block of flats. This delivery driver lied to company stating delivered, as assume just stated delivered prior to PM To keep his performance stats with company. I have spent all day trying to track with no direct point of contact via any of the dpd site. Simply round & round stating parcel is delivered. This is discusting, the client wants refund on package contents and I have missed a whole day's income trying to sort this issue with no success. I would like DPD to respond so I can progress an compensation reimbursement.

DPDlocal-online are not a registered company. Check with companies house. It is actually just a web site administered and run by parcel2go. DPDlocal-online are only contactable through an online chat system. You will wait over an hour to get to chat to someone. Once you get connected to a chat moron it is a complete lottery as to whether they try to assist of simply terminate the chat and put you back in the queue. If you contact parcel2go they will deny that DPDlocal-online has anything to do with them. However if you unfortunately book a parcel through DPDlocal-online you will see that the terms state(in very small print). Payments are collected by parcel2go.com. Contract is with parcel2go.com. There is something illegal going on here and I am now taking legal action against parcel2go.com for the theft of my parcel. Do not under any circumstances use DPDlocal-online or parcel2go.com.
Do not go anywhere near this company. They are deceitful. Lost my parcel and after I raised a claim they refuse to contact me or answer my enquiries.
These people are quite happy to charge you for services they didn't provide. Try and get a refund is almost impossible with this faceless organisation.
Note that this website is run by parcel2go and DPD have nothing to do with them.
My son bought stuff for his birthday and dpd have put his delivery thro twice as we weren't in when infact thay never even entered the street thay can't even find it so we went to the depot to be told we would get it that day bit never came. I can't get them on the phone or face to face as I went back to the depo and thay never even answered the intercoms this is the most unprofessional company I have ever delt with and the fact there drivers can't find a house in a town doesn't say much for thare quality of staff an absolute disgrace of a company and we still haven't got the package
I paid for next day delivery, it did not arrive, in fact they are saying it as not been collected from my home, this is alie, it was collected, then they say it was delivered and sighed for, the receiving address say they have not got it, rubbish Customer service, can't speak to anyone on the phone, totally disgusting company, I have got no where them. Stay clear.
Answer: Light company, on the web sites, looks good but utter rubish
